Can't upgrade to itunes 10.2.1

I can't upgrade itunes- it starts to download but stops. I've tried to download only and not install, I've run a full check disk with no problems found, I've tried to download new itunes from apple site. no luck.
"Itunes +Quick Time has an invalid signature" is the error i get when i try to download only. any ideas how to resolve? thank you very much.

Update to 10.5.1. Itunes 10.2.1 is out of date by now and won't be possible.  Update to the newest version and you shouldn't have a problem

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

  • Can't upgrade to Itunes Plus.  I keep getting error message 1004:  An unknown error occured.  There was an error in the itunes Store.  Please try again later.  Can anyone help?

I can't upgrade to iTunes Plus.  I can download songs normally but when I try to upgrade I continue to get the error message.  Please help.
    Thank you!

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

How can I upgrade to itunes 11.3 on my G4?

Sorry, you can't. iTunes 11 requires at least Snow Leopard (10.6) which in turn requires an Intel processor.

  • Can't Upgrade to itunes 7.0.2

When i go to the download screen and push download it just goes to the "thank you for downloading itunes" screen. I can't seem to get the save file screen up. Turned off pop up blocker, and all my window updates are good, same with the internet.

Same here. I'm trying to upgrade to itunes 7.02 and the installation keeps failing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime. I'm using Firefox. I'm unable to use my new nano with the existing itunes version

  • Can't upgrade to iTunes version 9.1.1

I have a 7 year old PC. My iTunes files are all loaded onto my external hard drive. When attempting to download the latest version of iTunes 9.1.1, I receive the following error message"
"Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools> download only and try installing manually." I tried installing manually and I still am getting pop ups indicating "Do you want to dowload the latest upgrade of iTunes version 9.1.1?" This leads me to think that there might be something wrong on my end. Any advice?

Are you doing this through iTunes or the Apple Software Updater?
If so, try going to the itunes download page and SAVE the setup file to your desktop.
After it has completely downloaded, double-click on iTunes Setup.exe to run it....make sure itunes is not running, first.

  • How can I upgrade my itunes to 11 version? It shows the legend "you have the latest version"

    Hi,
    I need urgent help!!
I recently upgraded my iphone 4, it works perfectly, everything all right with it, but... Next time I wanted to sync the iphone with itunes I couldn´t!!!
On the screen it shows a message saying that "my iphone cannot be read on this itunes because is not the actual version" and that I needed to upgrade it to the latest version, so I went to search for an update on the itunes menu and the message was "there are not new versions, you have the latest" but is not true!!!
So, I went to the itunes webpage to download the 11.1 version and once it was finished I tried to install it, but it happened nothing!
I am desperate and don´t know what to do, I don´t want to loose all I have there!!!
I would be so grateful if you could help me solving this problem!!
    Thank you!
    Yazz

If you're using 10.5.8, YOU HAVE the latest (iTunes 10) that will run on your OS.
If your mac is Intel, you can upgrade to 10.6 through Apple for $19.99, then run the 10.6.8 combo update and you'll be able to run iTunes 11.1.2 or 11.1.3

  • 3G iPhone, can't sync using .Mac (also can't upgrade to iTunes 7.7)

Just got a 3G iPhone (totally new user), was activated at the store. Have a working iPhone in terms of phone & web.
However, I'm trying to get my .Mac acct (which has been automatically upgraded to Mobile me) to sync the 3G iPhone over my Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz. I follow the directions: goto System Preferences, click on .Mac (there is no icon for MobileMe), enter my .Mac username/password, click on Sync tab,
    waiting..waiting
finally comes back with "There was a problem with the sync operation. .Mac login failed"
Is this an issue with server overload? (because of heightened 3G iPhone craze)
Another thing. I have a PC laptop runnings Windows Vista & tried to upgrade iTunes 7.6.x to 7.7. Failed on 2 successive attempts! (very rare, most of my Windows app installs go hitch free). Is this also a "server overload" issue, because of the heightened traffic due to iPhone craze?
However, I was able to download/install the entire iTunes 7.7.0.43 Also, on my other PC laptop I was able to successfully load/install an entire iTunes 7.7. This seems to imply some problem with Apple servers doing updates.

I successfully sync'd, using Mobile Me [ control panel ] on my PC laptop, after I downloaded iTunes 7.7
Why it won't do it over System Preferences/.Mac on my Powerbook 1.5Ghz G4 is...??

  • How can I export my music library if I can't upgrade my iTunes?

I have an ancient iMac running an ancient OS (10.4.11). I basically keep it cos I love the design and I spent literally weeks downloading all my CDs onto it back in the day. My iPod just got stolen so I want to put my music library on my iPhone 3GS. Trouble is I cannot update my iTunes on my iMac as the OS is too old and I can't even buy and run a new OS as the processor is ancient too, and incompatible.
I tried to find some more recent versions of iTunes online that I could run with the OS but they are also too old to sync with my phone.
How can I get my music library to my iPhone?

  • Can't upgrade to iTunes 7.2

I currently have iTunes version 7.1.1.5. Recently I opened iTunes and was notified that there's a new version (7.2) of the program. I was asked if I want to download the new version and I pressed 'Yes' and started downloading iTunes+QuickTime. When the download finished it started installing and then I got this message: iTunes+QuickTime has an invalid signature. It will not be installed. I don't know what to do. I've been using iTunes for more than 6 months now and I've upgraded to newer versions 2 times already. I've never had any problems upgrading to newer versions of iTunes until now. So please, help!!!

I got this message: iTunes+QuickTime has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.
Even though you're getting a slightly different message, perhaps first try the procedures described in the following document:
iTunes: Windows reports that iTunesSetup.exe is not a "valid Win32 application"
