Can't use AIM with NX Pro

Greetings,
I got an NX Pro so that I could chat with my mom who lives out of the country. This is for my second home. At my other home I have a logitech which I can use with no problems whatsoever. However the NX Pro will not work with AIM at all. It's not freezing or crashing, it's just not working. I know the cam works otherwise because I've used it. Any advice? I would like to be able to talk to my mom!

Thanks to the $15 Beamer, AirPlay streaming is still possible on Macs that do not support Airplay and mirroring.
Other solutions are the Air Parrot, StreamToMe, and AirServer.

Using XVID with Premiere Pro CS3?

I'm trying to export to video using XVID encoder, two pass. I start the first pass, an XVID status window appears, and then it appears to get stuck.
Has anyone here used XVID with Premiere Pro CS3? If so, any suggestions?

Thanks, I'll try the options on XVID. Currently I've been exporting to raw AVI, then using AutoGK. I normally don't do use XVID, but for a partcicular racing game, there are some telephone wires that appear less aliased with XVID mpeg4, than the encoders you get with Premiere. I've tried the mpeg2, mpeg4, and windows encoders, and don't get quite the same results. One of the final destinations is a you tube "hi-def" video. I also make windows movie files since they also can be viewed while streaming via Windows Movie player. My web host throttles throughput to 350kb per second now, so I keep most of my videos at 640x480 at around 1972kbps for the video, 128kbps for the audio. I have 2 different geographies(US and Europe). Corresponding to 2 different geographhies,
we have 2 different databases. Everytime if something happens to one cidb, bring
down the weblogic server, point it back to another CIDB and then start the server.
Now i know multipool can help me with. But the problem i have is , the document
says it can be used only with the single server, i have 2 servers. Can i still
use it. What are the pros and cons of using it? , is there any document on this,
meaning is there any document that tells what will happen if i use it in the multiserver
config.

Hi
You can use it as long as you are using a DataSource to get connections and
your DataSource is pointing to the MultiPool.

Using CS5.5 Master Collection for MAC, I can't use "Replace with After Effects composition"

Using CS5.5 Master Collection for MAC, I can't use "Replace with After Effects composition" because I updated AE to CS6 (but only AE). Even that AE CS 5.5 is still installed, it won't connetct.
How can that be fixed?

Maybe try associating AE project files with 5.5 instead of 6.

If you mean the application AIM for Mac, it will depend on your download speed.
If you mean "Can I use iChat with an AIM a screen name and does it cost anything ?" then the answer is Yes you can and no it does not cost and there is no download to do.
If you mean "Can I use the AIM service with an @mac screen name and can this be done for free ? " then the answer is again yes.
A trail account cost nothing and will work in ichat after the 60 days is up
A Paid for but Lapsed account will also work in iChat and for this purpose can now be considered free.
As I said and hinted at before your first question does not make it clear what you are actually asking.
The Application AIM for Mac is stuck at version 4.7 and does not do Video or Audio Only chats.
It has things that are useful in tweaking Buddy Lists in iChat but it is not specifically needed to contact AIM Buddies.

Generally I agree, but there is a chance it will work. If you are talking about a 64-bit system, the likelihood of problems is substantially higher. The simplest way to find out is try it (assuming you have already purchased Win8 system. You will likely have to update to at least 8.1 to have it work. However, Adobe will not provide support for problems you run into, though folks here might try to offer solutions. I have not heard anyone try it yet. Several were successful with Win7, though I only heard of 2 with Win7, 64-bit who claimed success.
However, you might find that AA XI provides better performance (assuming you do get AA 8 to work) and you probably should consider the upgrade.

However I believe you can have Aperture installed on two machines however only one may be using it at a time.
On the new iMac launch the Mac App Store - Purchased - look for Aperture and download to your new machine.

How can I use LCCS with ActionScript 3 and Flash CS4?

Hi,
Using Stratus I was able to create an an application using Action Script 3 and Flash CS4. The sample code on the Adobe site was quite straight forward and easy to understand. I now want to switch over to LCCS but can't find anything any where on how to use Action Script 3 and Flash CS4 with LCCS. Do I need to know Flex to be able to use LCCS? Everything was quite simple and easy to understand with Stratus and makes complete sense. But LCCS is really confusing. Is there any sample code on how to establish a connection in Action Script 3 and then stream from a webcam to a client. There is nothing in the LCCS SDK that covers Flash and Action Script 3. Please help! I found the link below on some forum but it takes me nowhere.

Welcome to the LCCS world.
Please refer to the SDK's sampleApps folder. There would be an app called FlashUserList. The app demonstrates how LCCS can be used with Flash CS4. Its a pretty basic app, but should help you moving.
