Can't use AirPrint on my brother J615 printer?

H all,
I can't print using AirPrint on my brother J615. I tried using the brother app but it only prints from photo albums.
I want to print from my Mail & Safari on iPad & iPhone.
Thanks.

Divyan-
Your best bet may be an iPad App like EuroSmartz' Print n Share.  If you contact them, they should be able to tell you if they support your Brother Printer.  If the App works for both iPad and iPhone, you can use it on both if they sync from the same Apple account.
An alternative is to share your computer's printer as AirPrint over WiFi.  Print n Share may also be able to do that.  For a free solution, search the web for AirPrint Activator.

I can no longer AirPrint to my Dell AIO Printer since I upgraded to Mavericks. Any suggestions??

Okay. That is a good result. It proves you have a working network connection between the Mac and the Dell.
So with the printer not showing using Bonjour, you could try adding the printer manually. With Printers & Scanners open, click the plus button to add and then select the IP icon. You can then enter the IP address of the Dell. Set the protocol to HP Jetdirect-Socket. Leave the queue name blank. Change the Name from the IP address to Dell Wireless. Leave the Location blank and in the Use menu, select the model of Dell you have. Then click Add to complete the queue creation and then see if you can print.

  • Can't use my HP Deskjet F4580 Wireless Printer with the AirPort Extreme Base. The printer is NOT connected at the USB port of the AirPort Extreme, and is placed in another room. It worked just fine with my previous router (Linksys WRT54G). Help me!

    Hey Guys!
I just got my AirPort Extreme Base, but I can't use my HP Deskjet F4580 wireless printer with it.
The printer is not connected to the AirPort Extreme's USB port. It is placed in another room, and I'd like to use it (the printer) wirelessly (not connected to the USB port os the AirPort Extreme), as I used to. There is no place for the printer close the AirPort Extreme. It worked just fine with my previous wireless router (Linksys WRT54G). I'm very disappointed with the AirPort Extreme Base Station because of that!...
    Can you help me? Please?!
    Thanks Folks!

This must be a tough one, no suggestions at all.

  • Can you use AirPrint to print to hard wired printer via your WiFi network?

Recently I bought an Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One to serve all my PCs in the house and to use the AirPrint functionality for all the iPhones & iPads.
The printer is located in the basement office where there is poor wireless reception, and therefore connected with a wire (ethernet) to a wireless router one level up on the ground floor. The wireless router covers & connects everything (PCs, iPhones & iPads) in rest of the house.
I do not seem to be able to set up AirPrint when the printer is connected through the ethernet to the local network. Only when I unplug the ethernet cable and connect the printer wirelessly (with poor reception) to the  wireless network, I get AirPrint to work ...... As soon as I plug in the Ethernet cable the WiFi of the printer shuts off and AirPrint does not function anymore.
Is there anyway for me to keep the printer "ethernet connected" through the wire and use AirPrint ??
I underdstand ther is a lot AirPrint is wireless, but why can it not be wireless from the iPhone/iPad to the wireless router and then through the ethernet cable to hard wired printer ? It's all on the same network with proper IP addresses etc. Do not understand why the printer also needs to connect wirelessly to the router to enable AirPrint.......
    thanks for helping out,

I came across this discussion when looking for a solution to a similar problem. We have an AirPrint certified printer that does not have built-in Wi-Fi. Using a USB cable it worked well with our iMac, but we also wanted to use AirPrint with our iOS devices. In our situation, we cannot run an Ethernet cable from our router (a 4th generation Airport Extreme) to either our iMac or printer. With help from Apple Support, here is what became our solution.
Using an Ethernet cable, we connected an AirPort Express router (2012 model) to the printer to provide a Wi-Fi capability to the printer. AirPrint apparently will not work with a USB cable. Because the AirPort Express was being repurposed, we reset it using what Apple refers to as a “Factory” or “Default Settings reset.” With the reset completed, the Express became visible within Airport Utility, showing a connection to the Extreme. Within Airport Utility, click on the Airport Express to open its status window; click on the Edit button, then the Wireless tab, and then select “Join a wireless network” within the Network Mode options. This made the Express into a “wireless bridge” between the printer and the Extreme, allowing our iOS devices to see the AirPrint printer. Our iMac also connects wirelessly to the printer.
Within Airport Utility, we could have selected “Extend a wireless network” as the Network Mode, however because we rely on a wireless connection between the Extreme and Express, doing so has the potential of reducing throughput among Wi-Fi devices because of the resulting network overhead. We had been using Printopia to allow our iOS devices to work with an earlier non-AirPrint printer. To avoid conflicts we turned Printopia off, accessing it within the iMac’s System Preferences. AirPrint is easier to use and provides better printer output than did Printopia.
When our HP printer sleeps, the iMac computer wakes it up as needed, however the sleeping printer becomes invisible to the iOS devices. We hope to fix this weakness, possibly by resetting the printer's sleep setting.

  • Can I use a HP c4580 photosmart to print to an ipad2 ?

Can I use an HP photosmart c4580 for an ipad2 copier

    Roycem-
I do not see your printer on Apple's list of AirPrint capable printers.  <iOS: AirPrint 101>
If you already have the printer, I suggest you download the free HP App, ePrint Home & Biz.  It has limitations, but should get you printing.  This App appears to support scanning from some all-in-one printers, but I do not see your printer on its list.  If it is considered an "ePrint" printer, it might work.
There are other printing Apps such as Print n Share and PrintCentral, but they can only be accessed from within other Apps that have the "Open In" option.
For general use as a printer, you can share your computer's printer as AirPrint over WiFi.  Two programs that are reported to work well are <Printopia for Macintosh> and <FingerPrint for PC and Mac>.  Your computer must be on and awake anytime you want to print.

  • My iPhone or iPad can't find AirPrint on my HP Envy5640 printer

HHow do I get my iPhone and iPad to find AirPrint on my printer

    Hello Cocoseve,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If your iOS devices will not find the AirPrint printer on your network, first please ensure you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network on all of the devices.  After that, pelase take a look at the information below for further assistance.
If you can't print to your AirPrint printer
Check these things if you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found."
On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, verify that your device is using the latest version of iOS available and that the app you're printing from is up to date.
On your Mac, use Software Update to update OS X and apps you've purchased from the Mac App Store.
Check with your printer's manufacturer to see if any firmware updates are available for your printer model.
You can connect an AirPrint device to your network either through bridging, or a direct connection to your Wi-Fi network.
AirPrint devices connected to the USB port of an Apple AirPort Base Station or AirPort Time Capsule don't use AirPrint. If your printer includes AirPrint, connect it directly to your Wi-Fi network or the Ethernet LAN port on your Base Station to print wirelessly.
After turning on your printer, wait a few moments before trying to print. Some printers might take a minute or two after powering up before joining your network.

  • How can I use PowerPivot tables like Excel tables -- printing, etc.?

I can't seem to find any information on this anywhere, and even more surprisingly, no one else seems to have even asked this question...
How can I use tables I create in the Excel PowerPivot window in the same ways I use tables that are in ordinary Excel worksheets, to accomplish tasks such as printing? I am able to use the powerful capabilities of PowerPivot to produce tables with precisely
the information I need for reports -- connecting data from multiple tables/sources, filtering, etc. -- but then there doesn't seem to be any way to actually print what I'm seeing, nor can I seem to access cells in these PowerPivot tables from Excel worksheets.
If a PowerPivot table is conceptually an Excel table with additional power in terms of pulling in data and relating it, it would seem appropriate that all the power of Excel could be brought to bear on these PowerPivot tables, but on the contrary, the available
operations are limited. if, instead, a PowerPivot table is more correctly viewed as a data source that Excel worksheets can connect to, that would be fine, and indeed, one
can use a PowerPivot table as a data source -- except it can't be brought into an Excel worksheet as an ordinary Excel table, unlike most other data sources.
I hope I'm missing something really obvious, and that someone can point out what it is. Thanks.

    Kirchh,
When PowerPivot was first designed, the decision was to integrate closely to Sharepoint to allow for team sharing. We are constantly evaluating customer feedback to add more features, and this has been one of the feedbacks we have received. We will consider
supporting this in the future but with no gurantee.

I'm not questioning why PowerPivot is closely integrated with SharePoint. I'm asking why connecting to the PowerPivot model from within Excel was intentionally blocked by Microsoft, when all the functionality to do so appears to be present.
Is creating an OLE DB connection in Excel to PowerPivot as $Embedded$ supported?
No support. It was originally designed for SharePoint. This changed with Power Pivot for Excel 2013 (it's packaged with it). Originally the scope (in 2010 through 2012) was that it was for SharePoint users. So it became more obvious through that to market it
toward all Excel users. Thus the recent changes.

  • How can I use Adobe Acrobat X Standard to print multiple documents on Lexis Nexis File & Serve?

I am unable to print multiple documents on the Lexis Nexis File & Serve legal website that used their Batch Document Processor software. The technicians there told me that Adobe Acrobat X Standard has an incompatibility with their Batch Document Processor software. I never had a problem with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 or Adobe Acrobat 9.0 and the Batch Document Processor program at the Lexis Nexis File & Serve website. I am now running Windows 7 Professional SP1. Before, we were running Windows XP Professional SP3 with the IE 8.0 browser. We now are running the IE 9.0 browser.

The answer is in the question...
Only the Pro version of Acrobat is capable of batch processing files (which
I assume the Lexis Nexis tool uses). Until now you had Acrobat Pro, and now
you have Acrobat Standard, and therefore you can't use it anymore. You need
    to upgrade to Acrobat Pro.

  • HT4356 Can i use my existing AirPort devices to print to my epson from my ipad?

I want to use my exsing Airport devices to print from my ipad and play music to my Bose which is also connected to an Airport device.

Apple introduced 802.11"ac" wireless capability about a year ago.
This is newer technology that was not available even 18 months ago, so it would have been impossible for any manufacturer to include this type of capability in their current products at the time.
While it might be possible to offer software "updates" to add more features, it is not possible to offer "hardware" updates for older equipment. That would require major surgery on an older AirPort device.....and even it were possible, would cost more than than the price of a brand new AirPort with all the new features.
We are not saying that the newer "tower" and older 'square" AirPort cannot be used together....they can. What we are saying is that the older AirPort cannot extend the new 5 GHz "ac" band that is offered in the new AirPorts.
When you are near the new AirPort, you will get 5 GHz "ac" speeds.  When you are near the older AirPort, the best that you will do is 5 GHz "n" speeds.
If your "older" AirPort had been the "round" or "dome" version, that product would not really be compatible with either the "square" or "tower" AirPort Extreme as far as "extending" a wireless network would be concerned.

  • Can I use my WRT54GS as an internet & printer wireless router?

... or is the WRT54GS only for internet & I need to use a different product for wireless printing?
Thank you for any help you can give,
    Michele

Is your Printer is a Wireless Printer or its an Normal USP port Printer ?
If your printer is an Normal USB Port printer then you need to buy a Print Server ( WPS54G or WPSM54G). So once you configure your Print server you will be able to Print from all your computers Wired / Wirelessly.

  • If I setup a wireless network can I use Airprint on a printer that is NOT Airprint enabled?

The reason for my question is simple, my business has 20 printers and none of them are "airprint" enabled nor do they need replacing.  My reps print order forms from their vans using Canon IP or IP100 and outdated handheld devices, (these devices are bluetooth enabled and we've never had a problem printing) I want to upgrade to ipads.  I'm starting to feel this wont be possible unless I buy new printers.
Does anyone know if I can buy a cheap wireless router, create a wireless network then connect my ipad to any printer, airprint enabled or not??

Set up a wireless network and connect the lantronix box wired to the router.
