Can't use apps....

I didn't join any data plans (i just use wifi to connect to the internet), can i use the apps? The sales told me that even not joining those data plans, i can still download the apps through wifi and the apps can function nornally. However, i've tried many times, i can't use any of the apps!! Besides, i can't even use the app world through my mobile....

If it is available in your country and you feel you meet the device-level system requirements, then contact your carrier to ensure that you meet the service plan (from them) requirements for access (via their network) to AppWorld.
Lastly, do be aware that AppWorld is merely a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. As such, it is not your exclusive procurement source -- there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR or Mobihand). I have found that there are very few apps that are exclusive to AppWorld. You can search the on-line catalog and then search out other procurement sources, including quite often the developer website itself.

1) Congratulations on purchaing an iMac. But an iMac is not considered a laptop.
2) Apps you bought for you iPhone and iPad can interchange with each other, but can NOT run on an Imac or a MacBook.

Thanks, varjak, it is too easy to fall into use of jargon assuming everyone understands what it means.
One additional point in all of this, not all "iDevice" apps run on every "iDevice". Some are customized for a specific device, or class of devices such as the iPod/iPhone with their smaller screen. Others for just the iPads for their larger screens. So the user needs to be sure they are getting an app that will work on their specific device.
And to Phoneboone, you do need to purchase the app again if it is for a different class of equipment. When you are looking at apps such as iWorks for the Mac and iWorks components for the iPad, the iPad versions are very inexpensive. Pages is only $10 (US) which is really cheap for such a good word processor that reads and saves in the MS Word format.
Anyway, search for what you need and just enjoy the convenience of so many options for apps.

So far so good! I was successful with my first request-and thanks, but I guess i did not ask enough.
New question: Is there any way for me to have my Apple devices show up with my daughters even though we have different apple id's? I was able to have her sign in and I could see but, if she doesn't sign in I can't see her device. She is only 15 and I going on a trip soon that I would like to just have security if she looses her device or I'll know she is okay. I don't want to sync and see everything, just the where abouts of the device. We were able to create a music folder for her music only and not mine- Success!

Well badluckwithphones, I hope you can start having some good luck with phones. Since your phone is able to connect to the internet and use other web based applications, it doesn't seem to be an issue with the data connection, but something in the application. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the application? Also, make sure to close all of your running applications often http://bit.ly/TomdWF in case something in the background may be causing an issue. If you're still having issues, I would suggest contacting Square again for further troubleshooting on the app.

You need to have a payment method on file. If the apps are free you will not be charged anything. Either enter your credit card information or purchase and enter an iTunes gift card.

How can I use apps downloaded by different users on the same iPad?

No, I don't think there is. As far as I know the iPad is meant to be a 'one per Apple ID' device...and isn't really meant to have multiple Apple ID's downloading apps to a singular device.
I think the simplest way around your issue is to use only one Apple ID to download everything.

I apologise if this has been answered before. I would like to use apps from a foreign iTunes store on my iPad and wondered if anyone could help me with that.
We live in Australia and I want my kids to learn German as well, so I thought it would be really nice to download a few educational apps from the German iTunes store for them. I have an Australian and a German iTunes account and once I changed my apple ID in the store preferences on my iPad I can download German apps without a problem. The trouble is now that from the two apps I downloaded one changed to english and the other one doesnt open at all.
Do you have any suggestions how I could get this to work?

As long as you are using the App store > link under Software update under the Apple on the menu bar if it's not already on your Dock..( or LaunchPad )...Yes.
Using iTunes Store for Apps No, they are only for iOS ie, iPads iPhones, iPod Touches etc.

There are some apps that I can't use after downgrading from Lion to Snow Leopard, then restoring the system back to Lion from a Time Machine backup. These are things like Address Book, Mail, the App Store and Preview. I get a message that says the program "couldn't open because of a problem". I just lost my HD after upgrading to Lion. I don't have a lion boot up disk and I can't restore my Lion time machine backup using the Snow Leopard boot disk. I tried installing snow leopard fresh with the thought of upgrading to Lion and restoring time machine backup from there. Once I install a fresh copy of Snow Leopard the App Store does not run saying I need Lion to run it which I can't get without the App store.

hi, i'm using last itunes version for PCs and i have a problem with 'authorisations'.
It seems that beeing windows user i made, with the same PC, a few installations of windows and now i have 4 pc's authorized in the itunes store, but not 5. The problem is that right now i can't uses somme Apps that i downloaded with my previous configurations (PC/windows) even if my actual configuration is authorized.
why can't i uses them if my PC is "authorized" ?

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...
