Can't use DBCA after applying patch on solaris

Hi all,
I have installed Oracle10g 10.2.0.1.0 on Solaris, after that I have created databases which are fine creating with DBCA. After that I upgraded patch from 10.2.0.1.0 to 10.2.0.3.0. now, when I try to use DBCA, It's throwing some TNS errors.
After that I downgraded to 10.2.0.1.0 and when I start DBCA, It's working fine.
Is there error while applying upgrade patch?
Please advice me...

Relink your oracle Executables and make sure to take backup ORACLE HOME before that.

i checked TCODE:RSCUR IN PRD its not showing any details
again i checked in dev and moved all currency types dev to production
now its wokring

Internet Procurement responsibility error after applying patch

After applying patch 5156915 we get this errro when we select i Procrurment responsibility:
The POR SSP HOME function is not available under the Internet Procurement responsibility.
iProcurement is installed.
Any ideas would be most welcome thank you.

I am a little worried that I couldnt find that same document.
I entered in ML "The POR SSP HOME function is not available" ....and that document did not appear.
Then I entered it with underscores : "The POR_SSP_HOME function is not available" ... and now I can see the doc.
How did you do your search?! I am guessing you used udnerscores or else something different? ? ?

By the way we are told to "clear" the _pages directory. I would do this with
cat /dev/null > oa_html , etc ?

Issue with updation of PAN details in ESS after applying patch

Hi ,
We have applied a new patch recently,
as follows:
SAP_HR - To patch - 49
EA_HR - To Patch - 49
When users are trying to update PAN details it says throwing error " fill in the required fields,"
i tried to apply relevent note :1243216 , but iam not able to apply it as system says it cannot be implemeted.
Can any body come accross this issue please give me solution as this issue has become critical.

Aperture is Apples version of Lightroom. This has nothing to do with Adobe. Ask on a Apple forum. You won't find many people here using this program.

Hi Vani,
Just go to the System Configuration and UME configuration.
Now go to user mapping tab, and remove the entry for a reference system. Then check for the issue if persists, restart system.

Invalid package WWSBR_IMT_SERVICES after apply patch 3.0.9.8.1

After applying patch 3.0.9.8.1, get an invalid package.
Upon trying to compile the package WWSBR_IMT_SERVICES the following error
occurs

Avoiding a full reinstall of Acrobat 9/X after applying patches

After applying a patch, we redeploy the GP and our users get a full reinstall of Acrobat which takes a longer amount of time than if only the smaller patch were being applied. Is there a way around this so every time we patch and redeploy Acrobat (even the smallest patch), our users don’t have to wait through an entire reinstall?

Problems after applying patch 5 of CM & Collaboration on EP 6.0 SP2

hi everyone.
here is the problem
we recently applied patch 5 for CM on EP 6.0 SP2
the portal platform is at patch 27.
after having applied the patch the logs indicated that the upgrade sequence completed successfully.
however after we restarted the portal and logged back in none of the KM repositories are accessible. it just says not found / is not accessible or is not available.
under system admin when we go into Content Management Configuration it says invalid Repository Managers.
i have reset the SAPWCM user password and check the connection pool settings but still nuthin.
i have checked the cm.properties and config_local.properties files. however i have no document to compare what the correct format of the entries in these files is. i know they are supposed to have identical entries.
can somebody help?

I had the same problems after patching CM. I had to re-enter the WCM password of the 3 CM Conenction Pools in the CM Configuration under "jdbc connection pools".

Icons for the Reports missing in Workspace after applying patches

Hello Gurus,
I have installed 11.1.2.2 on one of my VM's and then applied the 11.1.2.2.300 patch on it.
I have followed the Read Me for all the patches before applying them.
After applying the patches however the icons for the Reports in workspace

Yes all the components show green and I can access the reports without any issues. Its just the icon that does not show up.
I will check the logs you have mentioned to see if there are any exceptions in them.
But the issues started up after applying the patches for 11.1.2.2.
I have checked the location path mentioned in Weblogic.xml in raframework.war file and the path points to the correct folder location where the folders mt and mt_thumbnails are located.
Is the any other way out?
Should I delete the contents inside the tmp folder located in RAFramework0
or
Can reconfigurin Reporting and Analysis framework services help in resolving the issue?

CUSTOM.pll missing after applying patch 6167056

HI ALL,
i have applied patch 6167056 successfully, to carry on the post install step to Copy the CUSTOM.pll to $AU_TOP/resource and re-generate the CUSTOM.plx
i cannot find the CUSTOM.pll at 6167056/backup/resource

OR can i skip the post install step because there were no customization applied?

after applying SAP_BASIS Packs (SAPKB62019 and SAPKB62020) the transaction was canceled before finched implementing the patches and We are receiving ABAP dump errors while executing any transaction ( syntax_error)

This problem can be seen in the sudden appearance of screen elements, for example, or in changes in the process flow of transactions. In extreme cases, it can also cause data corruption.
           Reason: Support Package SAPKB62020 included an incomplete correction to BAdI processing that caused the execution of BAdI implementation of deactivated Enterprise Extensions.
           Solution: You must refer to SAP Note 601742. Import Basis Support Package SAPKB62023 as soon as possible (planned release date is May 06, 2003) or implement the additional correction instructions as described in Note 601742.

Solve this. Patch just screwed the meta devices, changed vfstab in single user mod and it booted fine.
