Can't Use Download Links In Safari

everytime i hit a download link in safari it will not download instead goes to a blank black page, so i have to right click and then click on download file to.
This is gettting annoying, is there anything i can do to fix this, it only started happening after installing lion

I too have this problem and have not seen a fix posted in these forums yet.
My work around is to copy the url when you are taken to that blank page and paste that URL into Firefox or Google Chrome. The file will download then.
This isn't a Lion problem but a problem with the latest version of Safari. My Snow Leopard machine does this same exact thing.

Safari: how to autofill filename when using 'download linked file as' option

I usually need to download email attachment to specific folders, not to the downloads folder. When I use "download linked file as" I get the option to choose the location, which is great, but the filename is '0'. I don't want to have to cut and paste the filename every time - why doesn't Safari grab the filename automatically, as it does when you just click download? Is there a way around this? It's a big workflow issue for me, and the reason I switched to Chrome previously .. surely there's a fix for this basic function though?

Just checked on 10.7.4+, still the same, something is borked about your install, to see if we need to re-install...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

I used OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2.
And I want to know can I use action link based on hierarchical column? I want to show link based on some conditionally..
I try to add conditions, such as Department is equal to A, But after I added, it show me "Department is equal to", why?
Can anybody give me some hints?

Hi Anne,
It should work. How did you add the action link? .Click on the + icon on the hierarchical column in criteria tab, this will list all the columns in the hierarchy.Each column will have its own column properties. Click on the Hierarchy level properties of Department column ->Interaction tab and define your conditional action link.

Are you in an area where there is no coverage?
You can try a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
If that doesn't help, then yOu'll need to contact Sprint again.

How can you keep the file name when using "Download Linked File As..."?

I'm a longtime PC user finally making the transition to Mac. Some of the tasks that seemed so simple in Windows have really stumped me! One of the tasks I do frequently is download files into specific folders. After much looking, I finally found the "Download Linked File As..." option if I right-click on the download link. The problem is, when I choose this option, I lose the file name. I get a window in which I can choose the desired folder, but the filename is always "0". If I want to keep the filename (and I usually do), I have to type it in manually. Is there anyway around this?

After installing iOS 7.1.1, I can no longer send links from Safari using my Yahoo account

I frequently send links from Safari, and as my Yahoo is my default email, it obviously sends from Yahoo. However, since installing iOS 7.1.1, those messages end up in my outbox, and I get a message saying "a copy of the message has been placed in your outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." I am able to change my sending email to Gmail or my company domain, though, and the message will go through without issue. But changing the sending account to a different Yahoo account generates the same failure message.
Is this a Yahoo problem (which wouldn't surprise me)? Or is it an iOS 7.1.1 bug (which also wouldn't surprise me)? Anyone else having the problem?
For the record, I have rebooted the iPad Air 128GB. I have tried this on multiple wifi connections (AT&T Uverse at the office, Time Warner cable at home, blazing fast local fiber company at the gym). The only thing I have not done is remove & reinstall the Yahoo accounts. I thought I'd pick the collective brains of the community first.

Addendum
Sending straight from the mail client in any/all of the Yahoo accounts works just fine. The bug just seems to happen when sending links from Safari.

Can't See Downloaded PDFs in Safari 3.0.4

Installed 10.4.11 over 10.4.10 using software update. Safari 3.0.4 set to show downloaded PDFs in a Safari Window. Adobe Reader 7.0.9 set to show PDFs in Browser Window. Safari correctly opens a new window as the PDF download begins. All seems to work fine until the moment Safari is about to display the downloaded PDF in the Safari window. At that instant, the Safari window turns completely dark gray and you can't see the PDF at all. The whole content area of the window turns dark gray. I grabbed Safari 2.0.4 from my backup and tried it. Same result. I reinstalled Adobe Reader from scratch. Same result.
This is critical here. We have to view PDFs all day.
It all worked fine under 10.4.10.
Any ideas?

Thanks. We can now see PDFs after installing Adobe Reader v8 as you recommend. But we sure miss the user interface of Reader v7 ! The user interface of Reader v8 will take some getting used to.
Would be nice if Apple documented the dependency/requirement somewhere, no????

Can't get download link to work in PKGBUILD

Any ideas?

Works for me. You'll need to tell curl to follow 301/302 redirects (the -L or --location flag). pacman4 uses the following as the DLAGENT for http:
http::/usr/bin/curl -fLC - --retry 3 --retry-delay 3 -o %o %u
Also note that you'll need to explicitly name the file in the PKGBUILD, so the source should look something like:
source=("$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz::http://agdinteractive.com/countdl.php?action=download&game=11")

GT780... Win7... S-Bar stopped working. Can't find download link

Help... I have a GT780. Just recently my S-Bar has stopped working. Whenever I try to load it Windows says it has stopped working. I can't find a link anywhere to download. Any help would be appreciated.

Editted your post to make the link properly. If you use the url tag ( use a [ and a ] along with url in between them, followed by a [ and a ] with a /url between them at the end of the link), it will make the link properly.

As Jeff already hinted at, try a different browser. Such issues almost always are local problems on your end. Something is either changing or blocking the HTTP headers used for forwarding (could be your router, a desktop firewall or other security tools) or a JavaScript is not running/ being blocked.
