Can't use editing transitions

I am in the process of making a slideshow in iMovie HD 6.0.3. I have inserted all of the photos and now I am trying to put the finishing touches such as transitions. However, when I try to use the 15 choices, it only allows me to use 4 (fade in, fade out, wash in, wash out). Why is this? How can I get those other transitions to use? I would like to add a little variety to the transitions since the movie is almost 15 minutes long. I need to have this finished within the next two days, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

When iMovie starts acting weirdly, a common procedure is to do the following:
Close iMovie and trash the file com.apple.iMovie.plist found in User (the house icon)/Library/Preferences. (iMovie will recreate the file upon relaunch). Before relaunching, do a permissions repair using the Utilities/Disk Utility app on your Mac. Now see if you can select your transitions.
If you still can't select your transitions, try dragging the transition to your iMovie timeline.

Can't use "Edit in Photoshop" for RAW images

I can't get Lightroom's "Edit in Photoshop" feature to work for CR2 RAW files (from Canon Rebel T2i). I've installed the latest Camera Raw update, and Photoshop can open the RAW files. However, when I use "Edit in Photoshop" within lightroom, Photoshop (CS5) opens, but then nothing happens.
Previous threads have mentioned this issue, but none gives a solution that worked for me. One user reported rebooting as the solution; other solutions involved trashing the preferences files for Photoshop and Lightroom. I've tried those, but no luck. The "Edit in Photoshop" feature does work for JPEG files.
Any further ideas? I'm using Lightroom 3, CS5, and Mac OS (Snow Leopard).

I get that every once in a while on my 3GS, and that's what I do to get rid of it. Probably not a bad idea to power down the phone every so often, anyway, gets rid of any crud waiting to cause a bug.

Any of these will open the file, the last 2 are free.

Can't use edit forms on some web pages

I have been using my iPad on forums (like this one) and find some where the iPad can't be used. For instance, if I try to edit an bay page, I can't set the cursor insert point. Also when I click an data entry field, the keyboard doesn't pop up.
I have seen this behavior on a couple of forums.
This appears to be a problem in the iPad or safari. I have no problems on any of these web sites using any other computer.
Any ideas?

I still can't edit on some pages. I tried to edit my first post on this forum and it works ok. But if I go to eBay and try to edit an auction description, the keyboard won't pop up, when I click the edit field. I can edit the same field with my PC but not from the iPad.
I can edit single line fields but not multiple-line fields (like this post) on some sites. When I touch, tap, hold or make any contact with those fields, the iPad will only select. It won't go into edit insert mode.
Another equally problematic problem, that even happens on this forum, on fields I can edit, is that there is no way scroll or move to a different part of large idiot fields. All I can work with are the first 10 lines. I have found a workaround but it is very tedious.
I have seen this behavior on other forums too. Only my iPad has this problem.
Simple test for someone who uses ebay. Go see if you can edit an auction description. I can't.
Another test. Try to edit a post content on this forum. If the post is longer than 10 lines, can you position the cursor at the end? These multiple-line fields won't scroll.

I can't use edit in BC admin

I can not edit my pages in Edit mode in BC admin. I got an error that some javascript is missing and page is not working correctly. Also error message said I should empty browsers cache but it did not help.

Can you use audio transitions if you forgot to add handles??

SO i completely forgot to add handles and i was wondering if you can still SOMEHOW add in audio transitions if you can how do you do it!?? SIGGHHH and also what's the best time limit to have for handles or does it depend on what you want?

As it says in the *FCP User Manual (III-374):*
Clips must have handles if you want to transition between them.
In order to get some handles, you will need to trim your clips. Read the manual section on rolling, it is a very helpful tool to understand.

Can't use「edit photo in photoshop」in lightroom.

I using nikon D810,and after the adjustment of my JPG file.
When i clicked the 「edit in photoshop cc」,
the application was coming out,
but no photo was shown.
Lightroom also doesn't create a new TIFF file .

I'm using Lightroom 5.6 and Photoshop CC in MAC and my file was JPG (size abt 5MB).

Thanks Rick. I was away and didn't get a chance to respond to this right away. For some reason, I think the issue had something to do with Lightroom 3.6. Before anyone had responded to my question, I downloaded 3.3 and it was fine. Thanks for your comment.

After 4.1 update I still can't use "Edit In"

It still errors out saying lightroom can't prepare the file, worked fine with all my random applications (Nik, Portraiture, etc.) in 3. Updated all I can figure to, reinstalled, used the CS Cleaner Tool, etc. No dice.

Macbook Pro Early 2011, 2.3ghz, 8 gigs of ram. I updated the two I use (portraiture, and silfer efex pro) or rather they are at their newest available version.

Can I use iPhoto transitions in iMovie

I noticed that there are some transitions for a slideshow in iPhoto that are not used in iMovie. For example; cube, droplet, mosiac. Is there any way to get them into iMovie?

sorry, but that's not possible. you have however two options that should get you where you want:
1. make slideshow in iPhoto and then export to QT to be then used in iMovie
2. get a third party plugin to make transitions that even iPhoto doesn't have. just goooogle "iMovie Plugins" and you'll find a ton - there's even free stuff.

Hi eyecat - welcome to the forum!
I am sure that you mean you can NOT use the transitions:-)
You need to tell us what happens when you try to use them.
You should be dragging the little blue square from beside the transition you have chosen, down to the join between two clips. Is that what you are doing?
Are you storing your imovie projects on an external drive, or on the computer's internal drive?
Just a little tip - when typing your questions and replies, do not use the Caps Lock on your keyboard. On the forum, that is considered to be shouting angrilly, which I am sure you are not intending to suggest!

As far as functionality goes, I don't see anything wrong. when it comes to efficiency you need to keep some general pointers in mind. These issues which I'm bringing up will not affect your code currently since your array sizes are small but can start creating memory fragmentaion and slow down the software if your array sizes are much larger and the software runs for a long period of time.
1. Try not to use Build Array. Each time you use a built array labview creates a copy in the memory. Try to initilized your arrays and replace the subsets.
2. as much as you can try not index arrays or unbundle cluster multiple times. try to perform as many tasks as possbile in one shot. (this was evident in your second loop)
Besides that it's looking good.
I made a few modifications to your code and attached it. I wanted to give you a different take on it as it relates to being able to control the inputs and outputs programitically, if you had a look up table. I didn't make the same modifications to your second loop but I can guide you through what needs to be done if you would like to move in this direction. Again your original code is well done for someone who is new to labview so don't feel like you need to follow the new VI design. Just try to remove the build array and multiple indexing as a good programming habbit.
