Can't use itunes anymore... please help me!

Every time I try launchin iTunes, I get an error message telling me I have quicktime version "7.0d0" installed and that I need version 7.0.3.
I reinstalled quicktime, now it's version 7.1, reinstalled itunes twice, nothing works..
does anybody know what to do? support won't help me as I bought my ipod over 90 days ago...

let's try another careful QT 7.1 reinstall, this time taking a few additional explicit precautions.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes 6
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

I updated to the itunes 7.7 version the other day, and didn't try to access it until today. I have spent the past 10 hours trying to get it to work. I keep getting the message: "itunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing"I've installed and uninstalled several times. Tried the same with quicktime. I've looked at Microsoft to see if the problem was there, repaired my system and from looking around, it seems i'm not alone.I can't find a solution anywhere, but find it hard to believe that Apple would just leave a flawed program out there, with people not able to use it anymore. Does anyone have a specific answer?

I didn't say install it as new - I said download the file as new. Big difference.
Download iTunes - new (do not use any previously downloaded version.)
Run the install programme
When you start the install procedure, do you see an option to Repair iTunes? - If you do, use it.
Repairing iTunes (a procedure I have used in the past) will attempt to repair iTunes - not install it as new. Have you tried this option? I assume ('cos I'm not a programmer) that the repair procedure will examine the itunes.msi file, realise it's broken and fix it, or at least attempt to fix it. That's certainly what I understand repair to mean.
Only once you have tried this and used the repair option if it's presented to you, can you rule out the repair option.

Can't open Logic anymore - PLEASE HELP

What i have done since i try is to delete the ProKit.framework and install it new, but did not work.
I also completely removed Logic and all components and reinstalled, the same error occurs.
If i remember right it is possible that i've installed the ProKit-version and i now think that requires 10.5!
The old version was called Pro Application Support.
I found this version - ProAppRuntime 4.0.2 - in the download-section on apple hp, but i cannot install this because i always get an error that the JavaScript check failed when i open the package!
Can anyone please please help me to fix this problem, hopefully without reinstall the complete OSX??

Can't install iTunes 7 - please help!

I can't install iTunes 7 - whilst installing the Quicktime part it says it can't access HKEYLOCALMACHINES/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/current version/uninstall/quicktime and that i need to check i have access to this. I don't have quicktime installed, and have tried to install it in safe mode logged in as administrator, but it says that the administrator has made rules preventing me from doing it. What's going on??

I haven't seen that screen on my Apple TV's, however I think I may have seen something similar either at iCloud.com or in iPhoto but I don't recall too well, they may be places you might want to try.
Have you updated your Apple TV to v 5.0, have you tried restarting it.

Can't sync my iPhone or iPod to itunes anymore- please help!

These had been working fine, but now when I connect either decive to the USB ports on my computer, I hear the "beep" but itunes does not start up atuomatically and when I open it it does not acknowlege the devices. I just uploaded the latest iTunes update but it was doing this before and the update did not seem to help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I just bought my wife an iPad as a birthday surprise and now I'm worried we won't be able to connect it to iTunes. When I try to restore my iPhone 3GS I get an error that says "unknown error (-1)." My iPhone is in recovery mode and I can't use it! PLEASE HELP!

Before this it randomly said "your Phone can no longer send or recieve messages. Please restore to reactivate." Then, instead of restoring it, I restarted it. When I turned it back on it said "activation required." So then I tried to restore it and at the last step "restoring firmware" it freezes and gives me the error code (-1)! After this, it started randomly turning off and plus I couldn't use it at all! I put it in restore mode to try and restore it again and I got the same error message. I tried this on a windows 7 and a macbook with an updated iTunes and got the same error code. I tried it with 2 different sync cords too! What do I do!

Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

Still can't download iTunes purchases, please help! incorrectly says "network connection timed out"

I've been trying for 4 days to download purchased media from iTunes and I keep getting this error message "The network connection timed out." I assure you my internet connection works perfectly.
Not sure if this is relevant, but this error spontaneously happened after my most recent purchase on the night of 2/10. I was able to download some iTunes extras right before I made the most recent HD movie purchase, and as soon as I tried to download that, nada!
Here's what I've already tried, but has NOT worked:
-re-opening iTunes
-restarting computer (several times)
-deleting tmp files
-disabling antivirus ware & firewalls
-deleting & re-installing iTunes
If anyone has any other ideas to help me out, I'm all ears!

E71 - how can i use the gps, please help

I have never used GPS before, i got E71 last week, it says in the manual that there is an inbuilt gps receiver in it.
From the discussion here it looked like i still need something else to use the GPS. I saw someone
mentioned 'Mapping', does E71 come with this program or do i need to get it from somewhere?
Can someone tell me how i can use the GPS in the E71? Is it possible to use gps in this phone without paying additional charges?

How to install and setup GPS in nokia E-71.
Firstly Install Nokia Ovi Suite (advance version of PC Suite) in your respected computer.

After installation of Nokia Ovi Suite go to following link

Now install the the second link file into your phone, i.e., "nokia_maps_3.03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom.Nocs.sis".
After successful installation connect your phone with data cable in PC Suite (DON'T run PC suite application in your system) mode and open Nokia Ovi Suite application in your system.
Now in Nokia Ovi Suite application click on View-Go to-Maps (make sure your system is connected to Internet and your mobile phone key pad doesn't get locked, if keypad autolock period is on switch it off for that moment and your phone is fully charged, now in maps select Asia in that India and download that India Map (103 MB) into your phone.
Please Note that do not disconnect your phone from data cable else maps will not get downloaded and will not to be
transferred to your phone.
After successful installation of maps into your phone download "Voice Guidance Languages", which ever is preferred by you, if you really want to enjoy it. Like- English(UK)-with street names or in Hindi, Tamil, Urdu.
Now you are almost done, just take your phone into your hand,
Go to Maps then select Options-then Settings
Internet-Connection-Offline ( don't worry your GPS will work fine as data bearer is Nokia which is free of charge, so just relax).
Navigation-Drive Guidance-Select the desired Voice
Walk Guidance-Select the desired Voice or you can set it to Beeps and Vibrations (if downloaded).
Home Location- define you home location by searching in maps, this will make easier to drive back to home by simply selecting Drive Home option while using navigation.
Now go to option Map-Categories-select the categories you want to be shown on the map.
Its DONE, now search for any desired location press the selection button and then select Drive to or Walk to option and you will be connected to GPS.
Please Note as GPS needs free environment so it may not work in home and generally it takes 10-15 minutes to connect so please be patient.

Can't Use Internet Properly, Please Help

I just got Peer Guardian on the Macbook I am using which has been using its airport with a Belkin router for a week or two now. It has been flawless but for some reason after peer guardian was used Google doesn't work, flickr and a whole bunch of other sites. This is an issue in both firefox and safari. I tried to delete Peer Guardian but it keeps saying files are in use. Its already closed and there's nothing running when I pull up the tasks. How can I fix this issue?

Can't Install iTunes 10 Please Help!!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot install itunes 10 x64. Keep getting an error message saying bonjour services failed to start make sure you have sufficiant privelages. I have tried every fix i have seen including disabling my firewall and anti-virus, disabling bonjour service, uninstalling itunes and all traces of other programs, I have a Administrator account as well. I just purchased an iPad and have yet to be able to sync content from my itunes library becuase i cant install it. I am losing my mind over this and would very much appreciate any help. Very irritating having brand new iPad and not being able to sync. Thank you

hi, i am having a similar issue, i cant install itunes on my vista computer, it asks for admin perssions or sumthing, even though i am admin...anyway, they way i solved not being able to install through the itunes installer was, install itunes on another computer (has to be a windows based computer, doesnt matter what version or 64/32 bit) then copy the program files folder for itunes, ipod, and in common files under program files, the apple folder (it has the mobile device support, apple application support, etc) and put it all onto a usb, take it to the troublesome computer, close any itunes related services, and itunes of course (if the old version is still running) then copy it all back to program files. i know many people dont reccommend installing things this way, but this is an "uprade" not a fresh install, all the registry is written already.
i have tried this and it works exactly as it should, even though it was really cross platform, i have a triple boot xp(32bit)vista(32bit)and win7(64bit) i installed the new itunes on win7, then copied it over to xp and vista, despite the bit difference (b'cos itunes is only in 32-bit, the only 64-bit part of itunes is the installer) and it works fine still right now, ipod syncs, everything else works fine
