Can't use itunes purchased songs in iDVD

I'm trying to use a song I purchased on itunes as music for the menu of an iDVD project I'm working on, but all I get is the following message: This computer is not authorized to play "01 Americal Girl.m4p".
I was able to do this just fine until yesterday when I had to update itunes for my new ipod nano. Now I can't use ANY itunes purchased songs in iDVD or imovie.
Please help me solve this!!

I read something recently that concerned me about DRM limitations on iTunes music. I make a lot of videos and slide shows. I will purchase a specific tune from iTunes just to use it in a slideshow. Can I use iTunes purchased music in a slideshow and export it to burn to a DVD?

My concern was unfounded. I misread a FAQ at the Fotomagico website. My concern would be valid only for "third-party" applications, according to the website below. Phew!
Here is the text from the FAQs pages at the Fotomagico site:
"How can I use songs purchased on the iTunes Music Store?
FotoMagico cannot include audio from songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store in an export movie, as Apple prohibits third party applications to access the sound data. We do sincerely hope that Apple eventually changes its DRM policies. You can use the songs when presenting the slideshow live in FotoMagico."

Why can I not use my itunes purchased songs in idvd/imovie?

Upto about two months ago I had no problem adding itunes purchased songs in my idvd / imovie projects - now I cannot. A warning message comes up about needing to authorise the computer and although I am using the same mac as I did when purchasing the tracks I still go through the process of authorisation - the tracks are still not available.
I have just purchased an xbox 360 and when connecting my ipod my purchased songs are once again unavailble to play even though I can play them using my ipod in the normal way.
Any ideas would be very welcome, thanks!!

You're allowed play the music on up to 5 devices. Each device must be authorised. Unless you can connect the xbox to the apple store to be authorised, you will not be able to play the music on it.

Can't burn itunes purchased songs onto a cd

I created a playlist consisting of previously downloaded songs (not purchased from itunes) and itunes purchased songs. When I attempted to burn a cd of the playlist, only the previously downloaded non itunes were burned into the cd. During the burning process the meter at the top of the page indicated that the itune purchases were being read, but when I played the cd on my car cd, and later on a friends cd, the itunes purchased songs weren't there. When I play the burned cd on my computer all the songs are included. I've tried slowing down the recording speed, trying both audio and data cd options with the same results. I am using cd-r cd's. Can anyone help?

Its a joke...Im having the same problems.....Im not going to waste a lot of time on this piece of garbage music system. All you have to do is look at all of the problems people are having. Its a crime there is absolutly zero customer service assistance. I will never give them a another dime. As it is I have this $10 cd I can only listen to on my computer.

Using itunes purchased songs on Music enabled Samsung phone

I purchased a few songs via my iTunes account and downloaded the songs to my Windows PC. My goal was to put the songs on my Sprint (Samsung) music enabled phone. When I copy the songs to my the memory card for my phone and insert the card into my phone the songs I purchased via the ITunes Music Store do not appear to show up as songs available to play on my phone. Yes. Protected AAC files cannot be used on a cellphone other than an iPhone and a handful of Motorola models, and other AAC files may need to be converted to MP3 for use. All song purchases from the iTunes Store other than iTunes Plus content come as protected AAC.

I can't use my purchased songs in my Roxio PhotoShow

I purchased 28 songs specifically to use in my home-made slideshows. I'm not allowed to use them and am very angry about it. It's MY purchased music & I should be able to use it an another application, especially for something like family slideshows. I use Roxio PhotoShow and Roxio Creator 2010.
A solution would be most appreciated. I've wasted a whole day with this already.

Songs from the iTunes Store, unless you purchased them a couple of years ago or more, are industry-standard AAC files at 256kbps, so there is nothing that prevents them from being used in any compatible software. Confirm what formats your Roxio software will import; it may be that the software cannot handle AAC and needs something like MP3. If so, you can convert the tracks by following these instructions:

How can I use iTunes purchased music on non PC devices?

I have an audio component that is a music server that is connected to my home audio system. The hard drive based music server has a front disc tray that you can use to rip CDs to its hard drive, but you can also copy music to it from a PC, as the server is connected to my home network.
How can I get music that I purchase in iTunes onto this server? The server only accepts MP3s, and is not compatable with ACC. And its a music server, not a true PC, so dont see anyway how I could "authorize" it.
Is there any way to get the ACC into MP3 format? Or if I burn the purchased music to CD, and then rip the CD back to a PC or the server itself, does it come back out as ACC again or MP3?
If anybody can be of any help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Burn the tracks out to an audio CD (make sure it's set to burn an audio CD, not a data CD, in the iTunes preferences). That CD can then be reimported as MP3.

You can only copy iTunes purchased songs back from your iPad (or other iOS device). If the songs are not already on your computer, and you havn't got a backup of your content on, for exampe, external drives or CDs/DVDs that you can copy onot your computer, then you will need to do a search on the internet to see if there are any third-party programs that can copy them back.

If possible you need to upgrade OS X. However, what you can upgrade to is dependent on what your Mac hardware and configuration is which you have not provided in your profile.

For non-purchased music like CD rip music, or website downloaded songs, you need some third party software to copy the music from iPod to mac. If you need details, here is a guide about how to get music from iPod to macbook. Hope it helps.

iTunes match should work for that. I am assuming your friend gave you some music from a flash drive, and yor not sure if he/sh pirided it or not, and this is understandible. this screen shot should help. I also sugest looking into google play, which is not as convienet as far as combining with iTunes, but is free I bleive.
