Can't use my phone as hotspot anymore!(after updating the iOS)

So I just updated my very new iPhone; from iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1.1.
The problem is that I used to use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop(HP Pavillion), but now it isn't working!
I had some trouble with my former iphone 4S but then I got a completely new one. Actually I'm not sure if it's the iOS 5.0.1 or the iOS 5.1.1 update that is giving me trouble.
I also tried to see if my laptop wasn't updated, but it is now updated and it's still not possible to connect to the internet with my iphone.
What should I do?? Is it possible to downgrade to an earlier firmware?? How do I do this??

Yes lucky me . If all troubleshooting has been done in Resolve iOS update and restore errors and if you have at least taken it into a store where they could try a restore themselves then that would suggest a hardware fault with the iPhone.
If you are out of warranty then it is correct that they would quote you an out of warranty service fee. From here it would be a matter of trying the steps above and if you have already tried then doing the service when you do have the cash.

I also did the update this morning and had the same problem also on Vodacom. The whole morning after the update I have No Signal, turning the phone on and of gives you signal for a couple of minutes then it drops again to no signal.
I've just made the following changes on my Phone and all seems ok again.
Here are the steps I took to resolve it on my phone.
1. Go to "Settings" > "Carrier" > Turn off "Automatic", wait for list of Carriers and select "Vodacom-SA"
2. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Cellular" > Turn off "Enable LTE"
3. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Cellular" > "Cellular Data Networks". Then Change EVERY APN from lte.vodacom.za to internet
After I made all those changes I did a hard restart of the phone and now all seems fine.
I suspect the update this morning Enabled all Vodacom's LTE settings, yet Vodacom is not 100% LTE yet in our areas and this is causing the problem.

Ive backed up my phone and restored it after updating the software and now a lot of my apps have waiting next to them and i cant access them from the interface

I did plug it into itunes and then backed it up to the cloud (im actually wondering if thats my problem)
then restored it from the cloud.
Maybe I should restore it from the computer (when its plugged into itunes?)

You must have upgraded the device directly through WIFi, restore your device via ITUNES and thats gonna work, it will reduce the space occupied by the new software installation

I Had the same challenge and all I did was switch off my iPad. Remove the SIM card from the tray. Switch the iPad back on again, reinsert the SIM card and bingo! The hotspot showed up again.

HT4528 I have no battery life in my iphone 5 since the iOS 7 upgrade. I have completed all suggestions to help increase the battery power and now I can't use my phone more than 4 hours without the battery dying. What is the solution?

I have no batter in my iphone 5 since upgrading to ios7. I have talked with verizon techinical support and completed all suggestions to maintain the battery. And by the way, these suggestions are annoying and limit phone use as well as require you to close out each application after use, also turning off wi-fi and blue tooth. I don't need this phone if I can't use the features for which it was purchased! Any ideas? Is there a fix coming soon for the battery? Can I return my iphone for my old droid?

Hi! I don't what's happened for your phone but, you can have more battery life with turning of Wifi, decries brightness, turn off location service and etc. also you shold use less Free+Much Ads apps becuase they use more battery than paid apps normaly.

After updating the iOS from 4.2.1 to 4.3.3 the WLAN connection to a Win7 Hotspot (Connectify) is no longer working in the sence that UPnP Apps like PlugPlayer can connect to a Media Server (Twonky) on the Win7 PC in a stable way. What to do?

I created a backup of the iPod in iTunes before updating to iOS 4.33 but after the update I can not restore. The backup is no longer shown in iTunes. I think iOS 4.3.3 has some differences in handling WLAN due to the Hot Spot capability for the iPone 4 which might cause these problems.
Please help. The only use of my iPod touch is to remote control my media network. And exactly that is no longer working the way it was before the update!

Now this has two direct effects - firstly it has increased the 3g usage for data and secondly it causes 'blips' with the ability to connect to previously working wifi connections.

No 3GS sold in the US was ever unlocked officially. Any attempts to update a hacked or un-officially unlocked iPhone will likely result in it being relocked to the original carrier.

24 hours ago i tried updating to ios 7 my screen went black and the apple picture just keeps blinking. i can not turn my phone off i can not turn it on. i let it die then i charged it and still the samething. i missed ine update before the ios 7 but i dont think it should take this long because of that.

If you're not able to make calls on your iPhone, try these troubleshooting steps first:

Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.

The following error is displayed after updating a form “Any changes made to this form cannot be saved.” These are the steps taken to update the form:
1)      Move form to Workbench ES Resources.
2)      Point Variables to new form
3)      Invoke process
The updated form is posted on Workspace. LAN users can make changes and submit the form, but WAN users get the error above and cannot make any changes.
