If so, go to id.apple.com, manage apple id, sign in with current id, edit email back to the one showing in icloud settings. You can now sign out of icloud with your current password. Then back to id.apple.com, change your email back to the current one, verify it and sign back in to icloud.

Hi everyone! I tried to install the new iOs 7 on my iphone 4, but it wasn't completed (showing error 4005). Now, my iphone is stuck on the itunes' logo with the usb cord, and I can't use my phone. And itunes doesn't detect my iphone when I connect it on my computer, so I can't put it in recovery mode or someting like that... What can I do?? I tried everything they tell me to do in the apple support but nothing seems to work. Thank you!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -
I was trying to get the iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 5 but then it stopped and my phone is now on recovery mode I have pictures I need and they did not all fit on iCloud how can I use the phone again with ALL my pictures and videos without restoring it?
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -

I need to shut my zoom off on my Iphone 5, it is to large and can't use the phone.
I have a iphone 5 from a person. Been learning how to use it by myself. I went to accessibilty and clicked on Zoom and was experimenting with it and got the screen to large and can't get it back to normal, now I can't use the phone because it is magnified so much. Tried to connect to help but couldn"t see the message that Apple sent to me on my phone. Don't have all the specs because the party was out of state from where she lived therefore I have any more info. Please help.

Hello to all my readers.I am still using my Apple G4 1.25 Ghz MDD running Leopard 10.5.8 with iTunes 10.6.3 installed. Can I use an Phone 4s with iOS 5 with this set up? I have read the iPhone iOS 5 user guide and it appears that I can but is anybody actually doing it ? My current phone is a £10 Nokia and I've neither wish nor cash to spend more than a grand upgrading to an intel based machine (at the moment) ! Regards to you all.
If you can find an iPhone running iOS5 and those are the specs for iOS5, there is no reason it should not work.
If you want a more current version of iOS or a more current device, a Windows computer is always an option at significantly less cost.
Granted, there is no requirement to have a computer to use an iPhone. -
My iphone 4 is telling me I have to restore but when I plug in and connect to itunes, it freezes about 30-50 % through the process. Now I can't use my phone at all? I am waiting about 1-3 hours for this process to finish and nothing ever happens. HELP!!
Put it into DFU mode - hold the sleep/wake button and home button until the screen goes black (ignoring the slide to turn off slider). When the screen goes black release the sleep/wake button but hold the home button. Continue holding the home button for 10 seconds, then release it. The screen should stay black. Plug it into iTunes and it should come up with this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. It must be restored before use", that's when it is successfully in DFU mode. Now press the restore button in iTunes and it should run smoothly :)

With ios 7 and the iPhone can someone use their phone while also using a text to speech app, such as Speak It or Assistive Chat? These apps are used by people who have difficulty with speech production.
Thank you.My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine. -

Only the carrier to whom the device is locked can authorize it's unlocking. Contact the carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

I started update connected to my work computer....it started update and now it is asking me to connect to Itunes, which I have but my work computer doesn't have my Iphone information, it says I have the latest software, my only option is to "restore phone" which I don't want to do here at work as none of my apps or music are showing up ..... I can't use my phone now when I start up it says connect to itunes.....

I have a verizon iphone 5c and I took out the SIM card just being curious and put it back in, now I can only use my phone on wifi and I can't use 4G or LTE strictly wifi. How can I fix this?
Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? If that doesn't work, try resetting the network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
If that fails, you may possibly have damaged the SIM. Verizon will need to give you a new one.

I tried to restore my I Phone today but now its not working. The screen is stuck with the plug in picture, and only allows me to make emergency calls. It says I have no service and I can't use my phone.

I was having syncing issues with my iPhone (an original) and ultimately took the step to restore the factory default settings in an attempt to start over from fresh...iTunes 'sees' the iPhone device and seems to go through all the requisite restore, load, verify steps, but I can't get the iPhone to load the main menu. I continue to get a window that shows a USB Cable pointing to iTunes...I have had 800 call support technicians and genius bar techs look at the problem without result.

i Can't use my phone and shutting on and off won't help.Plug it into iTunes like it shows. It should tell you it has found a phone in recovery mode. You will need to restore the phone.
