Can't use my Samsung ML-2010 printer with this iMac

The software download options from Samsung for Mac do not include ML-2010. I'm glad to have a new computer, but not happy that my printer is unusable with it. The printer is, however, compatible with my year-old Acer laptop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry, I don't have that printer to try it, but I'm fairly certain that the "Samsung GDI" open-source drivers will work (even they don't have the page updated to say 10.9)

It will work. The wireless card in iMacs (recent ones) work with n, g, and b networks. The g protocol is slower (54 mbs) versus n (130 mbs up to 300 mbs). My employer has hundreds of such access points and has been updating them all to n, but there are still some g routers they haven't gotten to, and they work fine. 54 mbs is not bad, it's about 5 megabytes/sec roughly. Typical actual throughput is lower than these numbers by ~ 50%, so doing a large Mac OS update download of 300 Megabytes would take about ~ 2 minutes with a g router, and maybe a bit less than 1 minute with an n router.

Unfortunately to be able to print from the tablet, the printer would require networking to be Eprint compatible or use the device Apps designed for printing. In order to print from an iPhone or iPad, your printer needs to be AirPrint compatible. Check to see if your printer is compatible using this Apple support document:

Simply connecting the printer to the AirPort Extreme will not make it AirPrint compatible.

I have successfully used that cable to print with every OS X version through Mountain Lion. It works with all other parallel printers I have tried including HP, Epson, and Apple, but I don't have your model Panasonic. When connected, the printer appears in Print & Scan as "ATEN UC-1284B Printer Cable".
I think the driver may be your biggest challenge. There may be compatible drivers from other manufacturers so don't limit your search to Panasonic. Search for an OS X driver for a similar dot matrix printer - consider C. Itoh, Epson, Okidata, or Ricoh. If you find a generic driver use it. Some printers were simply rebranded models manufactured by others. I don't know about your Panasonic though.

You can. I have a Kodak printer. But since it's not an airprint printer you need to use something else to make it work.
First, look on Kodak's site. They have options that vary with model. Some are built around using Google Docs to mail your document to your printer. Other options are to have a hardwired computer that you upload the docs to that then prints.
If you don't want to use those then third party apps work. I have print n share that I use for my iPad and Kodak printer, but there are other apps as well such as printopia or print central.

With a print app such as printopia, yes. Also check for the canon print app in the app store. This model does not appear to be Air print compatable, however.

I'm thinking of getting the new 27" iMac with the 2GB video card. It lists in the tech specs two thunderbolt ports and a mini display port, but the images only show the two thunderbolt ports, so I assume Apple is counting one of those as being the dedicated mini display port. I'd like to be able to use an additional two external displays with this iMac, though one extra would be fine. I see on the video card manufacturers website, they say it can "theoretically" drive 6 displays, depending on output ports. Is this like on the Mac Pro tower that can drive 6 displays (3 displays from each video port, assuming you have 2 video cards)? Can the iMac drive 3 displays (internal and two external) off it's video port with the proper adapters, i.e. dual link dvi adapter, or just one extra external monitor? I'd be satisfied with one extra display, but being able to add a 2nd would be a nice help in Photoshop since the iMac doesn't have the anti-glare option like on the laptops. Thank you, I have read that I could daisy chain the HD RAID enclosure on one of the thunderbolt ports with another monitor, if the monitor were at the end of the chain, but I do not know if the other port would still simultaneously support yet another external display at the same time.

I have got an USB Samsung ML-2010 printer. Before I used cups-usblp from AUR, and it worked. But it doesn't work now. The cups-usblp maintainer suggests to use cups instead of cups-usblp. Searching with google, it appears that other people don't have problems with this printer, cups, and archlinux. But I do. Cups' web interface doesn't detect it.

I open http://localhost:631 in my browser, click "add new printer" and I get just "Serial printer #1"
at "local printers". There isn't my printer. I use KDE, and KDE's tool for adding printers doesn's detect it either.
I miss archlinux, but I need to print.
What may be wrong? What may be I am missing?

Solved!
Restarting cupsd didn't work.
But reinstalling cups...
$ sudo pacman -Rdc cups (it is a dependency of kdeadmin-system-config-printer-kde which I had installed)
$ sudo rm -r /etc/cups/*
I realize cupsd is already running:
$ ps aux | grep cupsd
root 1549 0.0 0.1 75548 4080 ? Ss 21:04 0:00 cupsd -C /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
felipe 1690 0.0 0.0 8416 1028 pts/1 S+ 21:13 0:00 grep cups
I kill it
$ sudo -SIGKILL 1549

Ok. Reinstall cups
$ sudo pacman -S cups
Start cups daemon:
$ sudo rc.d start cupsd
Open firefox. Go to web interface, bla, bla, bla.... And it's there!
I feel really silly. It was a fresh install, so I didn't think about reinstalling.
Printed some jobs and worked perfectly. I used the gutenprint driver.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

Unfortunately, when setting up a new/replacement printer, you wont be able to use the same email address, nor can it be transferred to another printer. Once an email is used, the email address itself is not able to be used for a certain period of time (which I believe is 6 months).
However, by creating a new email address, but adding an 01 or 02 at the end, you can get something very similar to what you had previously.
