Can't use or install Adobe Air version 3.5.0.600
Hi,
I am stuck following issues when BBC Iplayer upgraded AIR to version 3.5.0.600 last week which it is not compatible with and now they have asked us to roll back to earlier version.
I have throroughly read forum Posts and have already tried the following as administrator.
Control Panel / uninstall
commandline AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -uninstall
I have tried using microsoft fix it but AIR was not listed ... I tried entering the ID from the install.log file but that didnt work either {14DC0059-00F1-4F62-BD1A-AB23CD51A95E}.
I can now neither install or uninstall the air program and it does not work properly.
I have successfully uninstalled Iplayer bur cannot reinstall
The air install log file is attached.

Installation with new adobe air version
Hello,
I have a .air file which was created a few weeks or months
ago. To install the application, it was needed adobe air version
beta 3.
Now, most of my customers have a newer version of adobe air
installed on their computer, and when they try to install my
application, it's not working.
My question: what can I do to be able to install my

Install Adobe Air application (.air file) from command line in Mac OS X
Hello everybody
I would like to install an air application on many systems (Mac OS X) using remote install. Is there a way to achieve this?
Is there a pure command line utility to install Adobe AIR applications (.air files) in Mac OS X?

In the meantime I have found a tool called ARH (AIR Redistribution Helper) which can be used to install an air application, uninstall an air application, etc.
Now I would like to create a .pkg file (for Mac OS X) that will use ARH together with my .air file and that will install or update (uninstall/install) the application. But I guess this is no more an issue for Adobe AIR. I have to learn the tools specific for Mac (Iceberg, Xcode).

What sqlite version is used in the current Adobe AIR versions? Is there a possibility to get the sqlite version number which is used in current adobe air version?

I tried to install the windows Install clean up but a message comes up to say that this installation is forbidden by system policy, contact your system administrator. I think I have now removed the Adobe Air that was in my programs list by using Revo Uninstaller Pro but when I try to install the Adobe Air (even with the instructions you suggested it still comes up with the same problem -

Actually my problem is simple. I can't install Adobe Air Runtime in my device because I can't find it.
I've search for Air Apps in the Market and install a few. In the opening screen they all ask to install Adobe Air, when I search it just isn't found.
Is this my phone problem or the Adobe Air runtime is out of the market?
I am using Mac OSX Leopard. any tips on how to install it?

I also can't find AIR in the marjet using HTS wildfire. This device comes with Android 2.1 and the 2.2.1 update was available which i did the update.
After that I tryed to find the Air in the Market and also can't find it.
Because this device comes also with flash player I thought that it would be able to run Air.
Is there any possibility to install air in this thing?

Can't install Adobe Air on Mac OS 10.5.6
Hello all,
I cannot, for the life of me, get Adobe AIR to install on my
Mac Pro. Whenever I open the installer I get this message:

may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your
administrator.
I AM, in fact, the administrator of this computer and I'm
logged into said account, but I continue to get this error. I made
sure to repair my permissions, but of course that proved nothing.
Can anyone provide some insight into this? I don't know how to get
the installer to log and/or where to find these logs, so help with
that would be great too.

TylerThe problem is that when the dialog window pops up (so that the AIR Installer can proceed) asking for my password (my user account is already filled in), my keyboard just drops dead!
The cursor is on the password textbox but whatever I do (type), nothing happens.
So I click on the Finder Spotlight Search box and I can type. I click back on the user/password dialog, and again I can't type. Cursor is there, blinking, but nothing gets "typed". It's just dead.
So I figure, ok, I'll type my password on Finder's Spotlight searchbox, copy it, and paste it on the user/password dialog. Doesn't work.
When I call it a night, and exit the AIR Installer, my Mac seems to be unresponsive. I have no remedy but to press and hold the Power button. Nothing works. Can't shut down using the menu, etc. Finder just seems to drop dead. Dock is also unresponsive. I'm like WTF!!???
There is nothing wrong with my iMac, since I can run chunky apps like Logic Pro 9.1.1, Final Cut Pro, Propellerhead Reason, Cinema 4D, etc. no problem. I have all the latest drivers and updates.
I've scanned all drives using Disk Utility, etc. All is ok.
But when I launch the AIR Installer, all hell breaks loose.
I can't figure it out...
I have a 2008 24" Alum iMac, 2.8GHz Core2Duo, 4Gb RAM, 320Gb + 1Tb HDDs, ATI video, stock keyboard and mouse, TC Konnekt 6 Firewire audio interface, Fatar Studiologic VMK-188Plus Master MIDI controller keyboard via USB. Nothing strange or weird here... Everything works like a charm. Nice and snappy.
I love my Mac.... except when I run AIR Installer! (Quick! Where did I leave the shot-gun??) -
CANNOT install Adobe AIR, administrator error. could not update past .20 version
consistently receive following message:

I receive this message AS AN ADMINISTRATOR (only user on Netbook IS me, THE ADMIN). even in safe mode tried to update/install, same error. did NOT have this problem updating w/ previous versions (xxx.20 and earlier)
I contacted myself, as instructed by the error message, and the response was Adobe failed to properly check administrator privileges for versions after .20

That seemed install. It seems to run Adobe Air Launchpad. That's all I know so far. Still learning all this.

Can't Install. An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR
I can't install Adobe AIR. I'm getting the infamous error:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I'm the administrator of the computer.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.
I've tried the right-click-run-as-administrator solution and I'm getting the same error.
I've read Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows and none of the solutions worked.
I'm installing the latest AIR version (I've tried older versions too)
I've tried Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It and AIR doesn't appear on the list of programs.

thanks in advance.I unistalled all my adobe programs. Reinstalled them and it won't let me because it says : An error occured while installing adobe Air. Installation may not be allowed by your admin. Please contact your admin. I am admin and also tried right clickng it and choose run as admin. but nothing works.I am running Windows Vista Ultmate 32 bit.SP2.

Can't install Adobe AIR 3 on Mac OS X 10.5.8
When I try to install adobe Air 3 I always get this message. "You cannot use this version of the application Adobe AIR Installer with this version of Mac OS X." Do I really have to upgrade os x?

Adobe won't be developing for 10.5.8 new features (including new runtime) only security relates updates for existing runtimes (Flash 10.3.*/Air 2.7.*). Flash 11/Air 3.0 are only supported on 10.6.8.*/10.7.*, see:

Can't Install Adobe AIR - Need Admin Permission.
I can't install Adobe AIR on my Windows XP as it the error message says I need to contact the administrator.

I am the owner of my PC so the amin should be myself but do not know how to do this.
I tried the right-click on the Adobe icon on my desktop to access the admin log in, but I am unable to do this as it won't accept any passwords I entered.
I need to by-pass the admin or find a way to access my admin. I think I read somewhere that Adobe may have an apllication for this but could not find it.

Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help resolve installation problems. Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.
