Can't use Smoothcam filter

I have an AVI file in Final Cut and want to use the smoothcam filter but when Iclick on it nothing happens. I get the same result when I thow it on to the timeline manually. Do I have to convert this file to an .MOV in order for smoothcam to work. and if so if when using Mpeg Steamclip for this conversion what is the best codec to use?

Yes, I wouldn't use AVI files while editing with FCP.
If your footage was originally shot on DV then convert it to DV, MPEGstreamclip can do that!

FCP6: Restoring resolution loss from using smoothcam filter on shaky clip

Hi,
Any suggestions to how I can restore the resolution of a clip that has been "zoomed in" on through the use of the smoothcam filter in FCP 6?
The original clip was quite shaky, thus the need to use smoothcam.
I am happy with the clip being zoomed in on, but not with the resulting loss in resolution.
The footage was shot in DVCPRO HD 720p PAL.
Would using Red Giant's Instant HD filter work in restoring the resolution?

I'm now seeing that me stating that the rendered footage looks pristine in Canvas, isn't entirely true.
When the clip is viewed at any percentage in the Canvas OTHER than 100%, then the footage looks great. If Canvas is set to 100%, then you can see the "jitters" that will be created in export. I suspect that because 100% is interlaced, and any other %age is de-interlaced, and exported video I believe is interlaced, then maybe there is something not connecting in the smoothcam and interlacing language?
I found this on another forum and tested it empirically myself. The forum was old and archived so I wasn't able to reply to it. I re told the story and my experience here to see if anyone might know a solution.

Sharepoint 2013: How can I use custom filter in XsltListViewWebPart if client site rendering ?

I wish text box on SitePage where I can input filter value and XsltListViewWebPart will show items corresponding of my input filter.
If server rendering I have Filter button in SPD and create parameter that bind my TextBox to Filter.
But how to must I doing if client side rendering (CSR) ? I haven't Filter button in SPD...

So, I resolved it :)
1) SPD2013 will show "Parameters" and "Filter" buttons for web part, if you click web part properties, change something and save it in SPD2013. After this dumb operation SPD2013 will show additional context menu for web part that include
"Parameters" and "Filter" buttons. Don't ask me why :)
2) All filter work for list - server side, same as in SharePoint 2010. You may add parameter to web part and link filter with this parameter.
3) Client side rendering will work with ready filtered data only. If you need update filter -> __doPostBack (POST request) and server side will back new filtered scope.    AJAX properties may be used to avoid
all page redrawing.
4) Yes, you may have additional filter on client side by override onPreRender and simply delete some records from ListData.Row but:
- it will not affected by header XSLTListView filters
- data page portions will be working incorrect
- grout data will be incorrect too
5) The worst thing it is, even I wish use client side filter in onPreRender I haven't found way how to re-render list without postback request to server. It is mean I can't apply new filter without new request to server :( Even I keep all list data
as JSON on page. Of cause I can realize it with my own custom gridview but it will need more effort and will be not so powerfull as use XSLTListWebPart...

Photoshop Elements 13 trial can not use digimarc filter

Just downloaded the PE 13 trial version, I am unable to setup/apply the digimarc filter on images (I have a current digimarc account) I am only able to "read" digimarc.

I am using windows 8. Also, I own a previous version of Photoshop Elements and have always been able to successfully use the digimarc filter to embed the digimarc into my images. With a new laptop, and newer operating system then my older desktop pc, I thought I would go with the newer version of Photoshop Elements but wanted to try before buying it first to make sure it would do what I needed. My Digimarc subscription IS current. The Digimarc site has plug-in's for all previous versions of Photoshop Elements, but NOT for 13. I even tried downloading the PE12 plugin from the digimarc site, but can not complete the installation because the file directory seems to be different (Digimarc instructions say to extract the file to: Computer > C: > Program Files (x86) > Adobe Photoshop Elements XX > Plug-Ins > The problem lies in that I can not find "Adobe Photoshop Elements.." under Program Files.)
This is why I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements instead of just blindly buying the latest version - I'm not going to waste my money on something that wont work for my needs! I do NOT need full version of Photoshop, just Elements... All I use this for is to crop, re-size, insert a watermark, and to insert digimarc and that's pretty much it.

Can't use MAC Filter and have Blinking Red Link Light on WRE54G

I just added a WRE54G V3 extender to my WRT54G V8, I have download the most recent firmware on both products. My network in using WPA and after fixing all the typo associated with setting all that up I still could not establish wireless connectivity. I am/was using MAC Filters on the WRT54G and had added and triple checked the WRE54Gs Mac address,, but until I disabled the Mac Filter I could not connect to the network. I would like to get that issue resolved. Secondly even with the MAC Filter disabled the Link Light blinks red at a regular interval. It does appear that I have connectivity, but the light just blinks away. If this is normal I could not find any reference is the written materal. Thanks for any advice you might have.

Sorry to appear toltake so long to get back to this, but I did post a message in reply somewhere ????, but it doesnt appear here??? and then I got tied up on some personal stuff.
Anyway, I followed all the advice I could find on this thread (thanks to everyone who has posted to any question on this thread) and after starting completely over reseting everything and basically configuring the RE with everything else turned off and then powering up everything starting with the router, I got everything up and running using WAP and all.
The only issue left is when I enable MAC filtering on the router to allow only the MAC addresses in the list access to the network the RE goes belly up. Disable Mac filtering and it comes right back up. I have triple checked the Mac address I entered on the list. The only reference to the RE's MAC address is on the sticker on the back. I can't find that verified anywhere in the configuration screens on the RE.
If I could get his working I could count my security as good as it gets and go on about my business.

Exported movie not same using SmoothCam.

I do aerial videography and have a problem I have read about in the Forums but can't find an answer.
Did some footage - used SmoothCam Filter - exported movie - movie looks worse than original footage.
Footage is smooth viewing in FCP but any exported movie is worse than original.
Exported an unaltered movie, imported same in FCP, then used SmoothCam with no differenct.
Looks good in FCP but any movie is terrible.
Some help would be really appreciated because I would love to put this short clip up so a customer can view it.

You would be surprised with the positive results I have gotten from SmoothCam on aerial ( moving ) footage.
Looks like a WesCam.
In the past, once the final product is finalized I burn a master DVD and the video in the DVD is just as smooth.
Only when I Export to a .mov do I see the movie as if the SmoothCam was not used at all.

Can't use import javax.swing.RowFilter; in javafx

The question is I can't use jtable filter of java jdf 1.6
That is when I try to add in my netbeans javafx project

I edited netbeans conf to set javafx sdk to javafx lib I downloaded (whole sdk), not that one with netbeans, but nothing.
It seems like I can't use this import in javafx application.

The reason you cannot use it is because javax.swing.RowFilter was introduced in Java 1.6 . Netbeans compiles JavaFX to work with Java 1.5, which does not have the class in question.
I have gotten around this by going to the properties->Libraries->Add JAR/Folder menu and included the jre/lib/rt.jar file from the jre directly into my project.

What Filter can I use to filter out audio noise? I'm using FCP 5.1.4

Do you happen to know if there is a noise reduction feature in regular Soundtrack (the non-Pro version)? I know there is a great one in the Pro version that can analyze a section of the track and then apply a noise reduction feature to the entire track. I doubt my version has this feature, but if it does, where is it, and how does one use it?

How can I create a Glow without using a filter

I am creating an application for iPhone4, and one of the problems I am having is the lack of filter support.
I am trying to create a "stroke" around some bitmaps... an example would be a text field that is white on a bright background - I would put a black stroke around it to contract it... there are other needs as well, but this is an example.
Before, I would just put a glow filter on the text field, tweak the settings and it looked good and did exactly what I wanted.
But iPhone4 high resolution with gpu acceleration don't support filters - and I can't change those requirements... so any and all bitmap filters are out.
Does anyone know of a way I can create a glow filter effect without using filters that would not be a major preformance hit for fps and memory?

While Install password filter, I use 'sAMAccountName' as Source Attribute (Microsoft Active Directory) and 'orclSAMAccountName' as Target Attribute (Oracle Internet Directory) instead of using objectGUID.

I can't use Filter Gallery with CR2 files?

I use Adobe Camera RAW to adjust image first and then open a copy in Photoshop CC. I have tried saving as a .PSD file and converting to smart object but I still can not access the filter gallery option. Can someone please advise how I can access the filter gallery?
