Can't verify premissions in utility mode

Hi guy, I've erased macintosh HD and now I want to install osx but i can't verify premissions, because I can't click on it only I can only click on verify disk, so do you know how to allow my macbook zo click on the verified premissions, I've tryied also terminal but it doesn't recognise command verifyPremissions. Thank you guy for help

The Verify Permissions function will only be available after installing the OS. There's nothing for it to verify on a volume without Mac OS X installed.

How can I verify that my Apple Express is "absolutely" extending my Apple Extreme?

Greetings,
I purchased an Apple Express to extend my Apple Extreme due to intermittent Wi-Fi signal in part of my home.
I connected it and it automatically configured the Express to extend my Apple Extreme.
My question is how exactly can I verify absolutely that my devices (laptops, iPad's, etc.) are connecting through the Express and NOT the Extreme as they were before. (the Express is closer to all devices than the Extreme).
There has to be a way to verify this, however, I can't find it through searching the web.
To note, signal bars on devices have not and do not change. Meaning they have 3 bars with, and 3 bars without, regardless.

For Windows-based computers, try entering the following at the Command Prompt: netsh wlan show networks mode=Bssid|findstr "BSSID" You can also try: netsh wlan show all
This should provide you with a list of all Wireless Access Points that is detected by your PC.
For the iPad, I am not aware of any built-in apps that will show this. However, apps, like Net Analyzer should do the trick. There's also a Net Analyzer Lite version for free.

Can only start up in Safe Mode, please help!

Hi friends, I need your help!
I woke up this morning and my iMac G5 (w/ Leopard) was frozen. I restarted it manually, but it would freeze on a blue screen without loading the OS. It can start up fine in safe mode, but that's it! I've tried repairing permissions and zapping the PRAM - any other ideas?
What can I do in Safe Mode that might fix my comp? I haven't recently installed any applications, and I have all "open at login" items turned off.

Are you able to start with your install disc? If so, use Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
You might also try running Preferential Treatment to see if you have corrupt preferences.

Otherwise software may be attempted to access the drive. The the computer up in Safe Mode by holding shift when you turn it on. Also be sure to power off and on the hard drive itself.

Macbook Pro will not boot up - can't access HD in target mode

I am fairly new to Mac's, so I greatly appreciate the help in advance....
Quick synopsis of problem:
Was using my new Macbook Pro, purchased 6 mos. ago... only had Safari open, Closed lid, went to dinner...when i came back, opened the lid... would not wake up, pressed power button and it went into Disk Utility mode.
What I have tried so far...
I have read several posts and appears I will need to reinstall Mac OSx... I am trying to connect my Macbook Pro to my Macbook Air to access the hard drive and copy/save important files before trying to restore/reinstall OS X....
unfortunately, I do not have a backup... so I need to access the hard drive to save some files.
I have put the Macbook Pro into Target Mode, but the Air will not recognize the drive... I have them connected with a Thunderbolt cable....
I have tried several different methods to connect them... ie... starting both up with cable connected.... both not connected... starting up the Air, then connecting the Pro... then Target mode, etc....
I also booted up the Pro with the Macbook Air in Target mode and it loaded the OSx from the Air, but i still cannot access the Macbook Pro Hard drive....
I feel I'm close, but just can't get it to recognize the Pro's hard drive....
Can you please assist and tell me what i need to do in order to get the Macbook Pro's hard drive to connect so I can access my files?

Let me also add that I just tried to boot the Macbook Pro's OS on the Macbook Air by starting the Air and holding down the 'Option' key.
It showed 2 available bootable volumes:
Macbook Air's HD
it showed the Pro's hard drive labeled: "Recovery - 10.9"
i don't have a good feeling about this..... the Air is obviously communicating with the Pro, but it seems that Pro's Hard Drive might be done...
any thoughts, ideas, solutions...??? thanks again

Adobe Premiere Pro exports my videos with a variable frame rate. Because of this long videos are asynchronous. How can i change the frame rate mode? So Adobe Premie Pro exports my videos with a CONSTANT frame rate? The original video has a constant frame rate...

Sorry my mistakes. I am from Germany.. so...I mean with asynchronous that the video file and the sound file are displaced. In the beginning of the Video it's normal, but if the videos is very long it goes VERY "asynchronous"

OVM-2020 Server pool master can not be set to maintenance mode

I have 2 server in ha mode
server 1 (10.99.99.161) with oracle Manager installed (server pool master, utility server, vm server)
Server 2 (10.99.99.161) without Oracle Manager installed (utility server, vmserver)
HA enable with server1 and server 2
10.99.99.165 is the virtual server pool master
1 San connected with server 1 and server 2.
Without problem I can connect on https://10.99.99.165:4443/OVS without problem.
All seems work, but :
1 - I I try to set in maintenance mode the server 1, the VM Manager say me:
OVM-2020 Server pool master (10.99.99.162) can not be set to maintenance mode, please use server pool master failover policy to change its role, then try again.
What I shuld do ?
2 - If I turn off the server 1 the server pool master is attribuite to server 2, but I'm unable to connect on https://10.99.99.165:4443/OVS webpage. It is correct, it is a bug, or I'm doing something wrong ? Must I upgrate something ?

You need to ensure the VM that's running the Oracle VM Manager software is still running. Live Migrate it first (preferred option) and flag it HA-enabled so that it is automatically restarted in the case of a server failure.

How can I verify what version of IE11 (32 or 64) is running on a 64 bit version of Windows 7

I recently upgraded from IE8 to IE 11. In the past when I would run ie8 from the Programs(86) folder it would indicate it was the the 32 bit version in the task manager by having an entry for iexplorer.exe *32
For IE11, the *32 does not show in the task manager.
How can I verify IE11 is running in *32 mode? I am trying to troubleshoot some active X controls that have known problems with IE11 *64 but I can't seem to verify which version I am running. Note I launch IE11 from the Program Files (86) directory
but I still would like some verification on what version is actually running. I am concerned because I am not seeing the *32 in task manager.

In IE10+, on a 64bit PC the frame (outer window) is always 64bit. The tabs are generally 32bit unless you've enabled Enhanced Protected Mode or are running inside Win8+ Metro environment.

How Can I Verify My Final Project?

I've completed my project and I'm about to send it to the replicators, but it turns out a check disk is too costly. And if it's wrong, I still have to pay to glass master again.
Can anyone please advise me on the following, as to verifying my project:
1) I encoded my video at 7.5kbps. Talking to a professional authorer today he told me he rarely encoded above 7 and aimed mostly for 6. (However his encoding is hardware based and I had to use the Quicktime conversion MPEG2 software in FC HD) He also said that if I get spikes then it could cause playback errors. Is 7.5 too high to encode in. My audio was all compressed in Apack, but how can I verify the final MPEG2 video stream to see if there are any spikes in it? How do I also check what the highest bit rate encode was on my video. I only used one pass by the way.
2) How do I calculate the kpbs of my audio streams and add it onto the final bit rate? Is there a way of checking my encoded Apack sound files to find out what the bit rate is of it?
3) As I am having to advance format all my files from DVDSP into the DDP format (as I don't have DLT so I'm submitting my project as two separate discs for each layer), I've been told that I should also verify my DDP files. How? What piece of software would I need.
One last thing, was that playing my video back by loading the VOB files into the Mac video player, I was getting choppy playback in full screen. In normal screen mode it was fine. This has nothing to do with too high a bit rate encoding on my MPEG2 file is it?

I know you did not ask this part, but I would be remiss in not stating it - if you are going to a replicator you really should get check discs made, no ifs, ands or buts about it. And those should be QC'd on various players. I am not sure how large your run is or the scope of the project, but you do not want to be stuck later on.

Yes spikes can cause playback issues, less on replicated discs but can still happen. As to encode rates you should use the lowest rate that gives you acceptable quality. What is you footage? High action? DVD SP does not have a way to check in it for spikes. There are other tools out there for that, or some DVD players will actuallly show the rate as you play it from a menu selection.

dvdafteredit(.com) mastering edition should probably do what you want though I just tried to Compare to a Disc Image and it worked, but could not get it to compare to a DDP Tape Image for some reason, I would chalk that up to user error (mine) Others here may be able to confirm one way or the other

The Apple DVD Player? Anyway when you start expanding to full screen, the player has to do more work to stretch it to the screen. View it actual size and see if the issue goes away

no busy files,... no open apps,...
even tried the "lsof | egrep" command in terminal to list open files,..

Verifying doesn't require you unmount a drive, only repairing it does. I sometimes verify my boot drive.
You could boot from your installer disc and run it all from there, then if you do need to repair you'd have that feature available. I have also found that running verify on the same drive as that from which I am running the verification can lead to spurious errors, probably due to files being modified as they are being checked.

The only thing that worked for me was to boot in safe mode.
Power down. Then press power button and hold 'shift' key until grey screen with progress bar appears... Once booted and logged in just open safari and browse to applestore.
No trouble at all once I did this.
Reminder: create full backup before you upgrade OS

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sound on your iPhone. I recommend the following steps for an issue like this:

Can't view data in browse mode.

I have a database of about 50 records I can view the data in list mode but when I switch to Browse the page turns grey. I trashed the preferences but no improvement.

Hi,
We have had the same problem in a non-express application
with a heavy server partition. In our case, the error was not
systematic, depending on the server workload at the time we
tried to partition and run.
The work-around we're using is to put the -fm flags (increasing the x
parameter to say 30000) in the 'server arguments' of your server
partition
properties in the partition workshop. Note that if your server is a Unix
platform,
you need to put double-quotes before and after the parenthesis in the -fm
syntax.
