Can't View Photo by hitting select button' ?

Here is a strange one, looking for ideas.
Photos I take with my new Kodak C763 (cheap 7.1 Megapix camera) sync with my new
3G Nano. I can see the thmbnail, I can play the slideshow all fine.
If I hit the select button from the thumbnail...black screen .. no photo.
Any ideas ?

Here's just an idea.
Sometimes I have trouble with songs that just skip.
I delete them and disconnect from itunes.
Then I fire up itunes again and recopy the songs onto the ipod again,
then they run just fine.
Maybe delete the pictures, then resync them again later?

This sounds like you are wanting to move your iTunes media folder to an external drive and have iTunes this folder from this location. If this is the case then I would recommend taking a look at the article below.

How can I view photos I downloaded 2-3 years ago and which suddenly seem to have disappeared. Only photos taken within the past 12 months are visible.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto. Version 8.1.2
- What version of the Operating System. OSX 10.9.4
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
When I open iPhoto, only the most recent photos are shown (last 12 months)
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages? This has been going on for several weeks now. There are no error messages, but yes, I had an update in the system (QuarkXPress 10.1), and the problem has occurred from that day.
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue. I tried to find out where the problem came from, but found no solution.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto? No
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

If you have Windows XP you are out of luck.

You can use automator to rename your files, BEFORE you import them into iPhoto. Doing so while they are already imported into iPhoto and iPhoto's database will cause iPhoto to lose the links between the thumbnails and the images.

How can I view photos in apple tv

I had a PS3 and could view all my files on my macbook pro.. bought apple tv - thinking it was superior... but I can't seem to access my photos in iphoto when using my apple tv... ??? Is it not possible to view photos from my macbook pro while using my apple tv???

One edit to the location in iTunes -- as of today and iTunes 11.0.2, you need to go to:
iTunes | File | Home Sharing | Choose photos to share ....
and select the appropriate folder, then click the "Apply" button.

I can't view movies, photos, Safari web on my new iPhone 4 in "horizontal / landscape" view. What am I overlooking here? Is there a setting in "Settings" on the phone I can change, or is this "not" available on the iPhone 4? That would be ridiculous!!!

There is an option to lock the phone in portrait orientation. The lock is accessed vie the multitask screen: double tap the home button, and swipe from left to right, and you should see the lock at the far left. Press it to toggle the lock on/off.

When accessing Trademe through Firefox I can't view photos of items for sale

I can view photos of things for sale on Trademe through Internet Explorer, but can only read information through Firefox and cannot see any of the photos of things for sale

Is it possible there is a search set in the Browser for the project with missing images? When I set 1 project to view only 5 starts, all my images will not appear as expected in the Browser since I have not ratings, but selecting the Folder level will display all of them. Check that.

When I was on facebook, I accidentally "blocked" viewing photos. One day I was browsing and "right-clicked" the photo I was viewing and it said "block viewing photos on facebook". I need to "unblock" this setting..

*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (Site Identification icon) on the left side of the location bar.

*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Can't view photos in Adobe Bridge

Hi Everyone,
I just upgraded to a desktop, Dell Inspiron 3000 Series with Windows 7. I uploaded my Photoshop CS6 onto my new computer, but I cant view my photos on Bridge. No thumbnail previews, just the name of the photo.CR2. I can however view my Tiff files
Any idea how I can fix this? Would greatly appreciate the help, need to be able to see my photos soon!

So, you can't see your RAW files. That probably means you have not applied any updates after installing CS6.
You have to update BOTH Photoshop and the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in. That should work through the Help menu in Photoshop: Help > Updates

Can't view photos in iphoto but I still can in Preview

Recently I changed some of the folder names of my photos in the iphoto library, but now when I want to view them in iphoto they are blank. I can still view them through Preview mode if I go through Finder, but that's a hassle. Also, the photos that I didn't change the folder name I can still view in iPhoto. I use iPhoto 5.
What should I do in order to get things back to normal and be able to view my photos in iphoto??

1 - this is the iPhoto '08 forum - your question would be better placed in the iPhoto 5 forum - http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=850 - some things work differently and here people will assume that you have iPhoto '08 and the answers may not work on iPhoto 5

2 - You should NEVER modify the iPhoto library (or any other database structure for that matter) - you should ONLY use iPhoto to change things. At this time your two choices are to put things back exactly like they were or recreate your library which will lose your edits, albums, etc

If you're loading photos to drop box why do you expect to see them in iPhoto?

Can I disable photo stream from select devices that are connected to my iTunes account?

Hello, I was wondering is there any way to do this because I have three iPads connected onto my account, one is in another country and one my parents own, but for my personal one, I would like to disable this feature so my pictures don't get uploaded. My parents like to see the photos being taken by family in another country and I would like those two devices connected only.

You can turn off photo stream on one device without effecting the others. If you want to keep the photo stream photos on the device you are going to turn it off on, you will need to same them to your camera roll before doing so. To do this open the my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud>Photos and turn off My Photo Stream. This will delete the photo stream photos from this device, but not the others (and you already saved copies of these photos to your camera roll so they will still be on your device).
The other two iPads that are signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled will still be sharing the same photo stream but you will no longer see it, and your photos will no longer be added to the stream. They can still share photos with you by adding them to a shared stream and inviting you as a subscriber (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).

If you are trying to view your photo stream from your browser you will not see any photos from there. If your using a PCM then you can install the icloud tool bar and under "my computer" you can see your shared photos
