Can't view slideshow once site is published

Hello-does anyone have any advice on this.
I published my website and then went to view it to find that it would not let me view the slideshow or click on a photo to enlarge. A box came up saying this...Firefox can't open because it cannot read the protocol.
Anyone ever have this problem

Some problems with Firefox 3 and iWeb were fixed in the latest version 2.0.4 of iWeb. If you're not already on iWeb 2.0.4, then upgrade to it via  menu > Software Update...
Then in iWeb do +Publish All+ and clear your browser's cache before viewing your slideshow.

How can people viewing my iWeb site print a whole slideshow?

I have several pages of photos and captions on my iWeb site. Many of these are slideshows which are guides to repairing / modifying cars for enthusiasts. The page shows the operations in easy stages.
People who use these want to print off all the photos and captions to take to the car so that they can follow the guide.
Is there a way of allowing them to print the whole slide show with one click. They don't want to select each photo and print it in turn. There are up to 40 photos on some pages.
Users will be using many different computers and browsers.

There is no built in way they could do that but you could assemble all of the photos used in a slideshow, and create a PDF file with each photo as a page. Then put a text link to the pdf file and publish. The file will be upload when the site is published and be available for download when the link is clicked on.
One way to create the pdf file is to use Combine PDFs which will take pdf files or image files and create a single document from them.
Another way you could present them would be to create an iPhoto book of the photos along with the necessary text. Then do a Print to PDF of the book while in iPhoto and you'll end up with a PDF file of the book that you can link to.
This test page has a pdf file that has been linked. It's located in the lower right of the page.

Can not view any Facebook site any ideas?

My Galaxy S4 will not allow me to view any Facebook site. I have tried using Wi-Fi and data without any luck.
I have done restarts, virus scans and tried several ways to view a Facebook site. I go to those that I have bookmarked and tried a search for the site and then try to click into it and still cannot connect. I have also gone to several locations that have Wi-Fi in case it was just my home system.
I get a notice of a server error. My wife has the same phone bought at the same time and has not had trouble with this issue even for the same Facebook sites. My phone seems more glitchy that my wife's. At times I can't get the keyboard to go off the screen unless I restart the phone.

It is working again. I was using the internet explorer app to view the Facebook sites. I do not have a Facebook site so I was not using their app. I downloaded Firefox app and that allows me to view the Facebook sites I visit.
I do not know why I can not use internet explorer as the settings are the same as my wife's phone and she can view them.
I tried the battery trick and that did not work and I also cleared the history and cache on ie.

Hyperlinks don't work once site is published

I have set up some text hyperlinks in my site - www.fullabullies.com. If you go to the site, you'll see on the home page the purple star that says "puppies". this should bring you to the "litters" page. I also have the red star that says "akc bulldog standard" that should bring you to the american kennel club definition of a bulldog (an external page). Also, if you look on the "ladies & gents" page & go to Otis's bio - his red "pedigree" star should open up a .pdf file that has his pedigree. None of these links work. They work just fine in iweb, but not once teh site is published. I don't know what I"m doing wrong. I've even made it to where the entire graphic is a hyperlink, not just the text in the graphic. All teh other links seem to be working just fine. Help!

Both of those links work for me in Firefox 3 on a Mac, but the Bulldog club of Louisiana does not work.

How can i preview an iweb site without publishing?

I want to preview my site before publishing it. In the Help section it says it will answer that question for me but it never ends up explaining how to view it unpublished. I just want make sure it is running properly before published. thanks for any help.

Use the option to publish your site to a local folder.
Open the local folder and double click the index.html file to launch your site in the browser.

MP3 will not play once site is published

HELP!
Here's the issue:
Once I publish my site (to folder or .mac) the audio file I put on my site will not play when double clicked.
Here's how I created it:
From Finder I drag the MP3 onto my web site (in iWeb 08) where it gives me a Quicktime box that says "Drag Image Here". I drag an image (tried jpg and gif) to it and it embeds fine. I use the Quicktime inspector to de-select "Show media controller".
In iWeb, when I double click on the image it plays the MP3. When I publish it (to a folder or .mac) it won't play the MP3 when double clicked. I've emptied Safari's cache and tried it on FireFox with the same result. Per the help file, I'm doing everything right and it says:
Quote "Show movie controller: Select to provide visitors with playback controls (pause, fast forward, and so on). If you deselect this checkbox and deselect Autoplay, your visitors can play the movie or audio by double-clicking it."
If I set it to autoplay it does work.
So what the heck is wrong!!!!????

You need click the "Provide iWeb Feedback" in the iWeb drop down menu and let them know about this one.
I would never have thought of setting up an audio file like this anyway. Some people seem to have difficulty finding the "play" button - how are they going to think of double clicking?

Can't view slideshow

I have a site that I built to show work I have done. The samples are in photo albums. Someone just told me that when they click on the slideshow option, it comes up blank. Anyone else finding that problem?

just a black screen with no buttons for all slide shows, and am prompted for .mac log-in everytime I publish.
I made the permanent fix "wyodor" suggested, plus making minor changes to pages.

Can't view project once compiled.

I am converting from Winhelp (RH8) to Webhelp (RH9). I have imported and I can see the imported word document from the Winhelp project, but once I compile and go to view it I get a blank page. I am using Word 2003. Anyone have an idea why I can't see the compiled project?

Can you please confirm that your RH9 WebHelp project has been created in the RoboHelp HTML application and not the RH for Word application you previously used for WinHelp? Also when you imported the content did you import the RTF file? It would also be worth checking that you have all the RH9 updates installed. Click on the Help > Updates menu item to ensure you have them. the latest version is 9.0.2. If you still have issues, try posting an image of what you are seeing. you can do this via the camera toolbar icon above.

I'm no longer able to update my Typepad blog in Firefox; nor can I view 'slideshow' in flickr. Something is wrong. I updated to 6 beta but that didn't fix it. What's wrong?

I can no longer update my blog in Firefox or view embeds that contain a flickr 'slide show'. I've double-checked on another computer with a different OS, same problem. Objects do not maintain placement once site is published

I am having a HUGE issue with differet objects moving around. What the site looks like in Muse and when previewed in browser is NOTHING like what it looks like after it's uploaded to the server and live on the Web. It's ridiculous and making me HATE Muse!!! BUGGY!!!!! Text shifts. Images shift. The ONLY objects that are exactly where they should be are the objects in the master page. My header and footer. My navigation. Anything I place on another page is completely random. I am working on a very large and expensive site and I am spending 10 times longer trying to fix the bugs than I am spending building it and making progress. I should have stuck with dreamweaver but it's too late now. PLEASE FIX THIS ADOBE!

I was having a similar issue with my images and widgets not aligning properly when previewing and viewing in browser. I fixed my issue by selecting my objects and unticking the 'Footer' checkbox (next to the anchor button). This stopped my images from being affected depending on where the footer was.

Sorry, but this is not possible. If you use your iMac as a "base station", you cannot use an Airport Express as a "wireless-to-wired" adapter.
The best solution for you problem is to buy at your local computer shop (a) a wireless router (which will share your DSL modem connection and provide a place to cable your iMac to) and (b) a wireless network adapter card for your PC. The wireless router will cost you around $50, the wireless adapter for the PC around $20-30.

Where can I view all apps by a publisher?

In ios 7 I don't see "view all" when your on a publishers page where it shows all the apps on it. But I don't see a view all button for either iPhone apps or iPad apps.

Safari, Leopard, 8 core - can't view various web sites

Brand new Mac Pro eight core (five days old - late July '08) with current Leopard and Safari updates -- Safari is unable to open quite a few pages that I have no trouble with on my (Tiger & Safari 3.1.2) G5 and G5 iBooks. No problems at all with Firefox.
Anyone with a similar issue? Any known fixes? Thanks.

I have now found a solution - I emptied the cache (an option in the drop down menu in Safari), and I deleted all the cookies (Safari menu - choose preferences > security - choose "show cookies" and 'remove all' .........
So far this has worked for me & I'm back able to view all website content - don't understand why it's happened though - bug in Safari or bugs in the cookies ? - I've never had to empty the cache or delete cookies on any of my Macs before ...........
Anyone have any thoughts as to what's going on??

View 2 different sites

I have built my first two web sites using iWeb.
When I save them to folder it asks me, on completion, if I want to visit the site. If I answer yes, I can only get the first site I built.
How do I visit Site 2?

I think that solution assumes that I subscribe to .mac, which I currently don't.
I just wanted to view it on my mac. When publishing to a folder it allows you to select to view the site in browser.
I have found the solution anyway. Simply re-order the sites in iWeb and it views the top site after publishing.
