Can't view synced photos on iPhone 5S

The girlfriend recently upgraded her iPhone 4S to the iPhone 5S.
The 4S was running ios7 and all photos in events and albums synced from iPhoto could be viewed.
Since she backed up her new 5S from her 4S back up she can only view a fraction of the photos that were visible on the 4S.
When you go into Settings- General - Usage it says they are all on her phone. Its taking up many Gigabytes of data but when u go into the photo app there are little to no photos in any albums or events.
I have photo stream off and icould turned off in reagrds to anything photo related. Since they are all on my laptop and not on the cloud i didnt not think that has anything to do with the issue at hand.
Nothing on the camera roll has been affected just strictly photos synced from iphoto from my laptop.
Can anyone shine some light on the irritating siutuation???
or is anyone having any problems like this??????

You might try syncing again. Each time you sync Photos via iTunes, the photos on the phone are supposed to be set identical to the current photos in the iTunes settings. I would sync as follows: for the first sync, after you have connected the phone and opened iTunes, go to the Photos tab in iTunes and remove the check mark beside "Synch Photos from" and then do the sync. That should remove all of the previously synced photos from the phone. After verifying that has happened you could then change the iTunes settings to select the desired photos and sync again and see if they sync correctly.

If they were photos taken with your iPhone and you have Photo Stream activated through iCloud they are in the cloud. If not - they are in the wind.

How can I view my photos in icloud from my laptop?  Thanks

You cannot view then in iCloud.
Photos in iloud are only there for 30 days then they are deleted.
You need to regularly sync photos from iPhone/iCloud to your computer.
Sync them from iCloud to your laptop wiht iPhoto for Mac or -> iCloud Control Panel for Windows.

  • How to view uploaded photos on iPhone

I am currently out of the country and went to an Internet cafe to upload photos from my digital camera to my icloud account on a PC.  I am trying to access the photos I uploaded so that I can view and/or download and save them on my iPhone (don't have any Lightning cord for direct access to my SD card) but I can't figure out where they are?  They aren't under shared or anywhere else.  I've tried looking for tutorials on it but haven't found anything specific to this yet.
    much appreciated!

According to the iCloud Photo Library Beta FAQs site:
Where do I view photos and videos in iCloud Photo Library?
On your iOS device with iOS 8.1 or later, open the Photos app and tap the Photos tab. Photos and videos are organized by date, and listed by Moments, Collections, and Years. In iOS 8.1, you can also view your photos and videos by the date they were added from the All Photos album. Your entire library is also available on the beta Photos app on iCloud.com.
How do I add photos from other devices?
You can upload original photos and videos using the beta Photos app on iCloud.com, as long as each photo or video is less than 16 GB in size.

  • Since recent flurry of updates, all of which I applied, I can no longer sync photos to my iOS6 devices. Any thoughts

Since recent flurry of updates, all of which I applied, I can no longer sync photos to my iOS6 devices.
iTunes sync error at the photo sync step with an unknown error 1140.
I have restarted everything, unsynced & attempted re sync to no avail.
The photo sync screen only allows me to select the sync all option, the select specific events, albums etc . Choice is greyed out.
This is true for both my iPhone 4S and ipad2.

I think I have figured it out, and photos are syncing now.
Here is what I believe happened: There is an iTunes generated folder called "iPod Photo Cache" in my "Pictures" folder on my Airpot Disk. This folder gets generated by iTunes whenever you designate a location for syncing. The "iPod Photo Cache" folder contains a file called "Photo Database".
It looks like the "Photo Database" had been corrupted. Deleting this file, or alternatively, moving my pictures to a new folder and letting iTunes regenerate the Photo Database fixed the problem.

  • How do I sync photos from Iphone to Ipad?

How can I sync photos from Iphone 4S to Ipad 4th generation?

The only way is to sync to iTunes on a computer and then sync from iTunes to the other device, using USB.
If you're thinking of using photo stream, that won't work now, since only photos taken AFTER each device was logged into photo stream will sync between them.  All older photos must be synced via a computer.
The exception to this is if you use dropbox or some other service to act as the middleman.

  • How do I sync photos from iPhone to my PC?

How do I sync photos from iPhone to my PC? I just can't seem to figure it out. All I want to do is take the pictures i took with my iPhone camera and sync them to a folder on my PC (Windows Vista). Thanks for the help.

I know exactly what you're going through. I may win the prize for having the most number of photos on my iPhone (2,397) that couldn't get downloaded. I have never been able to export photos from my iPhone to any of my Macs using iPhoto or Image Capture. (And yes, all OS and apps are the latest revisions). Nor have any of the popular apps like Picasa2, Adobe Photoshop Elements, or Windows native Camera & Scanner Wizard been able to do it on my Windows machines. BUT, the only 3rd party app that I had any success with was the Tansee iPhone Transfer Photo program. It downloaded 884 photos from my iPhone before that app stopped working, for some reason. It cost $20USD and works on Windows only. You may have better luck than I downloading all your photos.

  • TS3989 I can't view the photos in photo stream. When i click on the photo stream, automatically it goes back to home. Why is this happening? How do i resolve?

I can't view the photos in photo stream. When i click on the photo stream, automatically it goes back to home. Why is this happening? How do i resolve?

If older photos are missing it may be because photo stream photos are only held in iCloud for 30 days.  After that they are removed from iCloud but will remain (up to 1000 photos) on your device until deleted.  Also, only photos taken after enabling photo stream are added to your photo stream, and only when the camera is closed, your device is connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.
To transfer the missing photos you can either create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), import the photos to your computer and sync them to your iPad, or use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your iPad over wifi.

  • ITunes too old to sync photos to iPhone 3G?

When I first got my iPhone (late December) I set up a folder of photos in iPhoto that would sync with my iPhone... and did a successful sync.
Since updating my iPhone to 2.1, and 2.11, I can no longer sync photos to my iPhone via that folder. I get an error message when I choose to sync that says that in order to sync photos to my iPhone I must have iLife 9 on my computer. I believe that is the version mentioned - I am not at home at the moment with the laptop that I sync with. What I believe I'm seeing, is that my version of iPhoto is too old to sync with the updated iPhone. All choices to sync with are grayed out. The only option is to sync the whole library... I don't want to sync my entire library.
I've not seen this particular problem on this forum. If I've missed a solution - would someone post the link here? I don't want to install a newer iLife on this old laptop. I have other newer MacBook pro computers - but I use them for work projects and would rather not clutter them up with all my photos.
    Any help?
    Thanks

I do find it interesting that I was able to do that initial sync of my photo album...
I wondered about that, myself... But, even without iPhoto, you can sync with a folder on the Mac. Older versions of iPhoto stored their pictures more transparently (in folders in the Pictures folder), so if you selected a folder in iTunes it would work.
You could try copying the pics into a folder elsewhere on the Titanium G4's HDD and selecting that folder to sync. In iTunes, with the iPhone connected and selected in the devices tab, click the Photos tab and set the top pop-up menu to a folder. You can use one level of subfolders for 'albums' that will show up as such on the iPhone.
Or, as you state, you could just move the pics to a newer machine.

  • How to delete synced photos on iPhone 4? Please tell me! Thanks!

I have tried to delete the synced photos on iphone but it can be deleted! How??

You can remove all of the synced photos from the phone by connecting it to iTunes on your computer and syncing again but before you sync remove the checkmark beside "Sync Photos from" on the Photos tab of iTunes. If you only want to remove some of the photos there are more details in the "To delete synced photos and videos" section of http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236
