Can't watch TV Shows on ipod once I've watched them once.

Just got my Video Ipod a couple of weeks ago. Once I watch, or start to watch a show on my ipod. If i sync again, they are no longer on my ipod and I can't get them back on. Will it only let you watch them once? If so that's BS. New to the whole Video part, any thoughts or help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Are you using itunes 7? if so, what you need to do is connect your ipod and let itunes recognize it. Then, go to the screen on itunes where it displays the info about your ipod. Click on Videos, and adjust the settings so that it syncs all of your videos. You will have to do this because I believe the default setting is to only sync videos that you have not seen yet. let me know if you need more assistance or if i have not been clear enough (since i am just typing this from memory)

  • Can't find TV Shows on Ipod

I have some tv shows on itunes but I cant find them on my ipod. They appear under "tv shows" when i look on itunes (both computer and ipod menus) but I can't locate them on my ipod. Any suggestions?

I guess we share the same problem; I can't make "TV show" menu visible in iPod. Until it is solved I am just changing properties (right click on iTunes library) from TV show to Movie (or to music video) to be able to watch TV show on iPod.

  • Itunes can't play recent TV Show (downloaded via itunes) without Quicktime and can't sink same show to IPod??

    Problem 1:
I recently bought the HD Season Pass to Please Like Me's second season, and when I went to go watch the first (and as of this writing the only) episode, Itunes kindly informed that I needed QuickTime to watch it. Installing Quicktime has not solved this.
The QuickTime pop-up also came with a 'more info' button which according to that link, QuickTime is needed for older media (which considering this season is of the more recent variety (aka THIS MONTH) I would consider this to not be 'older'). Itunes otherwise more or less outright says that media of any variety should be able to be played just by Itunes, especially if you literally just bought it off the Itunes store.
Itunes is updated to the most recent version. I'm running on Windows 8.
    Problem 2:
With the same aforementioned media, when I tried to sync it to my Ipod Touch (5th Gen, up to date), I was greeted with the lovely little message that more or less said that 'x was not synced because x cannot be played on this Ipod'. Following this I went to the iTunes store on my Ipod and downloaded it from there and lo and behold, it has downloaded with no problems.
So why is it that I had to go the more roundabout way and time consuming way to transfer the episode?

    Hello bianca729
I would check to make sure you can download the show again. If you can, then delete the show and download the TV show again. If it still not working, then report the issue with the download with the other article below.

  • Can't copy TV show to iPod

I bought a TV show from iTunes Store, but I can't transfer it to my iPod Classic. I get the message "The iPod ****'s IPOD is currently linked to another iTues library on the computer *****-PC. In order to copy the TV show ******** to this iPod, you must link this iPod to with this iTunes library. Doing this will remove 14 videos from this iPod."
As far as I can tell, I am linked to the library. I can copy music and podcasts without any problem. After this problem started I purchased a song and was able to copy that.
    Any suggestions...?

FIgured it out: the file was in HD format and the iPod Classic cannot play HD files. Downloading the SD version now...

  • I can't move tv show to ipod when used as external drive

I have been putting itunes purchased tv shows on my 60g ipod as a hard drive untill it stopped working. I drag the show to the ipod icon on the desktop and the plus sign appears then nothing happens. I have 28g free and it's worked fine untill now. I'm just doing this temporarily untill i get a new hard drive for my computer. I only have 13g now. So if I want to buy anything else I have to free up the space and I know that if I just put it on my ipod as a watchable video I can't move it back.

Does this video play in iTunes? How is your iPod configured to sync videos from under its Movies configuration tab in iTunes?

  • Watching TV Shows on iPod...

I was wondering...I have the first season of Lost on DVD...could I put those disks into my computer and save the episodes to my iPod or do I have to purchase them from Apple?

You can rip DVDs and encode them to a movie format the iPod supports. Search around for programs and instructions. It's not exactly straight-forward, unfortuantely.

  • Can't Add TV Shows to iPod Classic

Recently, I downloaded from the iTunes store a couple TV shows. One was a King & Maxwell episode titled “Wild Card” that I missed a few weeks ago on TNT. The other was the pilot episode of Sleepy Hallow that aired on FOX this past monday.
While attempting to put those two shows on my iPod Classic, I got an error message that said “Wild Card was not copied to the iPod, Dad’s iPod, because it cannot be played on this iPod.” Same with the Sleepy Hallow Pilot.
Why is this. In the past I put shows on my iPod with no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does any error message pop up?
I've been there before, but the TV Shows didn't sync because of the resolution of the file (iPod supports 640 by 480 pixels).
There's a built-in converter in iTunes. Highlight the items you want to sync go to the Advanced tab and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version". This will create files that should work with your iPod...
If you try this, please report your results... some people (including me) are having problems with the process.
    I hope it helps.

  • Can't sync tv shows with ipod

I am trying to sync TV shows I purchased and downloaded from iTunes with my ipod nano.  I select "Devices", "TV Shows", check "Sync TV Shows", then then check TV shows I want to sync, and select "sync".   The status bar indicates syncing, determines tracs to sync, and completes sync.  But no TV shows are on my iPod (checking under Video, TV Shows).  I've also tried to drag the shows from the library to a playlist.  They showup on the playlist on the computer, but not on the playlist on my iPod.  I am not having problems syncing music.  The TV shows are animated Bugs Bunny episodes.

    Holmanranch,
Do you have the Sync only checked songs and videos option ticked from under your iPod's Summary tab as well?  If so, that could be a possible cause.
One thing you could try is to remove the tick mark next to Sync TV Shows and apply the changes to remove any and all TV Shows from your iPod.  Then reapply the tick mark and again sync the changes to your iPod and see if that makes a difference.

  • Downloading content to use with apple tv on television, can you download multiple shows and then watch them later or just one at a time, watch then download the next one??  If multiple downloads are possible how does one do it?

I just received apple tv as a present this Christmas and the shows take too long to download when I want to watch them.  Can I download multiple shows overnight or during day and watch them in the evening??  If so how?

    The ATV stores no content.
Content can be downloaded to iTunes on a computer and then streamed to the ATV via HomeSharing.

  • Can I watch purchased shows without downloading

I'd like to watch tv shows I've already purchased without downloading them to my laptop.  The only options I can find other than downloading deal with Apple TV and Airplay.  Seems like  there should be someway to watch them directly from the cloud.  If it makes any difference, if working with a PC running Win 7.

  • Watch TV Shows?

I have a 30Gb 5 generation ipod. It plays music videos, video podcasts, etc. However, I can't synch my tv shows! I always get a message saying that the items cannot be synched. I bought the tv shows from itunes so I don't understand what the problem is. I have more than enough room for the shows and I would like to be able to watch them on my ipod.

Exactly... if you have Quicktime Pro you can export the tv shows in ipod format if they aren't already in a compatible format.
My 5th gen Ipod with video is 80GB! Earlier generations came with smaller hard drives.
I'm always having the same issues with podcasts because some are in TV format, some are in 5th Gen iPod with video format and some are in HD format or .mov formats. Converting from one format to another is such a processor intensive task that it is not automated in iTunes or Quicktime. My Video iPod actually plays video podcasts better and hickups less than my iBook so its my preferred device. One way around this incompatibility bottle neck is hardware devices such as iRecord which converts tv shows on the fly into iPod and other device formats (PSP etc.) or we need to use processor intensive applications to do the same conversions.

  • Hone sharing...can't find tv shows on iPhone 4s

    Hey All,
I'm able to access my music via home sharing, but when I go to videos on my iPhone it only shows downloaded TV shows (not the ones in my library on my computer). Am I just looking for these in the wrong spot? I was able to do this on my iPhone 4 and the old OS but now I have a 4S with iOS 6 and I can't seem to figure it out.
    Thanks

  • When watching shows from my itunes with apple tv I can watch one show, but as soon as I try and watch a second it won't load.

I just got my first apple tv.  It streams netflix beautifully and connected to my network and computer quickly.  Currently the bulk of my itunes library is on a PC, so I am attempting to stream from that.  I can watch a show or an episode of a tv show just fine, but when I try and watch the second I get the spinning wheel and nothing loads.  If I reset my apple tv and then turn home sharing off and on again I can watch another episode.  I disabled my firewall and my anti virus on my desktop to see if that was the problem, still I am watching one episode at a time.  HELP!
