Can't work DNG but JPEG OK in CS5

Just installed Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 32 bit machine.
Updated Camera RAW to 6.4 as well.
When I open a JPEG, I have the toolbar and full menu visibility.
When I open a DNG file, I lose the toolbar and all menu items.
Any ideas?
I've uninstalled and re installed twice now.

Windows 7 is up to date, but haven't installed SP1
Video card (ATI) drivers are up to date.

Maybe I'm not being clear.
When I open a DNG file, normal menu items across the top disappear, and the toolbar palette disappears as well.
In the top left is displayed "Camera Raw 6.4 Canon EOS 7D"
No functionality available whatsoever.

I recently installed CS5 on my mac but I kept CS4 installed as well. I notice that I cannot open DNG files created with CS5 in Photoshop CS4. Bridge CS4 shows the files only as icons - no image thumbnails. I am able to open these same files on a Windows version of CS4. Is there some plugin for my mac CS4 that will enable me to access the DNG files created with CS5? Is there a way to use my CS5 downloader when converting my raw files from my camera to DNG files that will make them compatiple with PS and Bridge CS4?

Well, yes...but you'll need to modify your DNG Converter prefs to allow for that. You''ll need a recent (ideally current DNG Converter 6.4.1 or above) and click on the DNG Converter preferences and select the correct DNG Converter options. Check DNG Converter 6.4.1 (the current version) and click on "Change Preferences" to be sure select Camera Raw 5.4 and later then make sure CS4 is updated to ACR 5.7 (which is the last version of ACR for CS4) However, the changes made to ACR 6.x really should be adopted since IQ for ACR 6.4.x is a lot better...

Can't get DNG to work

I've just installed Adobe DNG converter, and I can get it to convert .nef RAW files to .dng, but then I can't open them with anything. I am using CS2 presently. Does DNG work with this version or is it stand alone (or need something else downloaded to work)? If so, how?

DNG is just a file container that "standardizes" your raw image data. All of the raw image data is still there, unchanged. The DNG file is a stand-alone image file just the same as a JPEG or any other file type. But raw images have to be processed or "developed" in order to be used. Since you are using Photoshop CS2, the raw image data has to be processed and saved to a different file format, either a JPEG, PSD or TIF. And that is the file that is processed in Photoshop. The DNG converter simply takes the raw image and puts the image data into the DNG container file. But it still has to be processed. And that is what Camera Raw is for.
Although there are more programs that are beginning to support DNG and other raw file formats, the file is really need to be processed and copies saved to other standard formats in order to make them universally available to other users.
When I said that the DNG converter does not "work with" Photoshop, I was talking about the DNG converter program itself, not the resulting DNG file. The converter is not a plug-in, but rather a stand-alone program. It converts your raw images to a DNG format, that will enable you to work with your raw image data with multiple versions of Photoshop.

Regarding your first question about bookmarks, I think you discovered the answer in when you pressed the address bar. The second tab there has your bookmarks.
As for the keyboard, I'm not sure why your Firefox is reacting so slowly; mine seems to show keyboards even when I don't want them. If you have accumulated a lot of history, perhaps that's an issue?
Did you use any third party software to move your Firefox data from internal memory to the storage card?

Sharepoint list dataheet view error "Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available"

I have a List which is having around 14000 items in it.while opening that list in datasheet view it is giving error .
Below is a summary of the issue:
After selecting datasheet view beow error occurs:
    "Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available."
    "Unable to retrieve all data."
    The item counts displays say 100 out of 14000 items.
Exporting List to excel is giving only 2000 records out of 14000 records.
Other Observations   -
This is happening to only one list on the site .There are other lists in the site whose no. of records is equal to 8000 to 9000.They are working absolutely fine without any error.
Also, If I am saving this list as a template and creating another list with it ,then it is working absolutely fine with 14000 records,so the issue does not seem to be related with no. of records as the template list is working fine.
I have checked the Alternate access mapping setting ,its fine.
It should not be related to lookup,datefield or any other column as the list created from it template is working fine with all these columns.
I checked below links also ,but doesn't seem to work in my case.

I have spent two days to resolve this issue. Microsoft has released two KBs with reference to this issue...but are not appearing in search results at the top.
I am sharing my finding.
1. First install the
KB2552989 (Hopefully you might have already installed it. The KB detetcts it and informs the user.)
2. Then update registry by adding new key for data fetch timeout as mentioned inKB2553007
These two steps resolved the issue in our environment. Hope it might help others as well.

When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up.

I have the latest Lion and Safari. I am having great troubles with Safari in performance. FireFox works great, but Safari updated 5.1.2 is awful. What can be done to fix the latest version? I have tried everything!

Is Apple going to fix Safari 5.1.2? It has been a nightmare for since the update. I only had my Mac for a short period of time and didn't have the problem when I started. It all started when the update was loaded. It is puzzling when Mozilla FireFox works better, but slower than the Safari. I was told this browser was the best to use for Macs. I am not seeing it! I have empty the cache, reset Safari, and reset the prefences. I still can't images, server not found error, or best yet-not connected to the internet when the news ticker is running. What more can I do so I can make use of Safari? I am tired to reset and clear cache every time I wish to go browse.

I finally threw in the towel and called tech support since it is free for me for the moment after making my post this morning. They fix my Safari problem! First, they had me do a shut down and unplug the computer for 30 seconds. This idea didn't work for me. Then they had me go and change my DNS from my IP address that was listed to the following:
Go to System Preferences
Click on Network
Click Advance
Click on DSN
Under DSN Severs there is a plus sign. Click on it.
Type: 8.8.8.8
Add another by clicking the plus sign and Type: 8.8.4.4
Go back to the beginning--main page and push the Apply button and then close.
Open Safari to see if that works
This works! So far my Safari 5.1.2 is working like it was before the update on Lion and Safair package! I hope this will help some of you.

Upgrading from iPhoto 8 to iPhoto 9 requires a purchase. There are two ways to get to iPhoto 9:
1 - purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
2 - if your MBP meets the requirements upgrade you system for free to Mavericks. Then you can purchase the latest iPhoto version, 9.5.1, from the App Store.

Numbers 09 not working - I can open the program but only a few files are available, missing blank, checklist and many others. e.g when I click on a file I get this error: The document "nmbtemplate is invalid. The index.xml file is missing. help.

Please let me know what I can do to get my Numbers (iWork 09) working properly again.
Here is what is going on:
Numbers in iWork 09 not working can't access Blank, Checklist and many other files within Numbers. I can open the program but only a few files are available. When I click on the file (which also has no icon just the name of the file) this warning appears:
The document "Blank.nmbtemplate" is invalid. The index.xml file is missing.
I recently had to get a new hard drive installed and had the system upgraded and more memory put in by a Mac certified specialist recommended to me from the Apple store in Northbrook because this was the 3rd time my drive went bad but this time it was to old (I got the IMAC- in 2007) and the Apple store could no longer work on it this time so they recommended a few places that had certified Mac specialists. Since then Numbers is not working right.
I'm sure it's something simple to fix, but I've tried re installing it and that didn't work. Appreciate any help.

There is one way its getting fixed. Once I update my Adobe Illustrator CC to Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 it is further allowing me to go into the system folder and allocate the font to the file so that it can replace it. My only concern now is that our MAC partners who will receive these files back from us have Adobe CS6. We will down save it to CS6 but I hope they won't experience any font issues because of us using CC 2014? Any light you can shed on this?

Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem clean charging port again with toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.
