Can The 8520 Be Installed On A Computer Running Windows 2000 Pro SP4

Hi Guys,
I have a client running Windows 2000 Pro (old habits die hard) and she just purchased the 8520. Upon putting the supplied disk in to install everything (Desktops, drivers, etc.) I get the error stating it needs a minimun of XP to run. Can I go back to a previous version of the desktop manager and grab the drivers for the 8520 to make this work? Any help is appreciated.

FWIW -- see this KB for PIM compatibility with various DTM versions:

I'd advise the most recent version that is compatible with the necessary PIM.

If you mean the drive is encrypted with FileVault, then I very seriously doubt it.

Can not download iTunes onto my HP computer running Windows 7

While downloading iTunes onto my HP desktop running Windows 7, "Apple Mobil Device Service" failed to start. "Error During Installation" I noticed that installation hangs at "Starting Service". Anyone have a similar problem with downloading iTunes?

I can not get the HPPhotosmart C6350 to fully install on my computer running windows 7 64 bit.

I am using a wireless setup and the installation appears to stall at HP Photosmart essential. I can print. The HP solution center will not open because the installation is not complete. I am trying to get to be able to scan from my computer.

OK, let's try it again:
- Using the uinstaller in the Start > All Programs > Hewlett-Packard folder unstall the software.
- Start and execute Windows Update over and over until there are no more updates.
- Restart your PC.
- Without doing anything else or starting any other software download from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
- After the install completes, restart your PC again.

My niece has a powerbook running snow leopard. She was wondering if it would be possible to install and run any version of OS 9 on the machine so that she can run some old programs. I said I didn't think so, but that I would ask the experts. Does anyone have any advice?

Firefox said bookmarks imported successfully from Internet Explorer - no folder visible in Bookmarks pane. New firefox install on new computer running windows 7.

Already tried adding Bookmarks toolbar, looking at Bookmarks sidebar, opening bookmarks pane. Don't see the "From Internet Explorer" file anywhere. Help appreciated!

If you have problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.<br />
That way you also preserve any sorting that you may have done in IE with the Favorites.

When you connect it & open it WMP click on the SYNC tab of the program. Choose the files you want to sync to the computer then hit SYNC . The files should transfer to the computer. (check your settings as to where you want the files to go.)

Can bootcamp run Windows 8 Pro in OSX 10.8.2?

Can Mac OSX Mountain Lion (10.8.2) run "Windows 8 Pro" in Bootcamp? Since Windows 8 Pro has the ability to run program from passed versions of Windows. This way Windows 8 Pro can run Bootcamp, even though it was made for Windows XP/Vista/7 specificly.
I need to know whether it can damage my MAC, or I am able to install Windows 8 Pro.

Windows 8 is not supported by Bootcamp. There are no Bootcamp Windows 8 drivers http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1899

I just tried running the Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test both in normal mode and in safe mode. Both times it indicated a failed read test on the HDD. The last two tests also failed. I forget what those tests were called.
I am really beginning to think I have a bad HDD and the problem just happens to be in the reserved partition where my factory system software resides.

You don't need any software to run the router at all. Connect with your wired computer to 192.168.1.1 username blank, password admin and configure your router manually like everyone else.

I got my iMac in July 2007, which I believe is mid-2007, I am currently running v.10.6.8, have 2 GB memory and over 100 GB of available space. This to me meets the system requirements, so why do I get the "cannot be installed on this computer" message when I try to upgrade to Maverick?

Something does not match up. Check your year of manufacture.
