Can the ADC cable be replaced?

i have a 17" studio monitor that has a short in cable. When plugged in, if you jiggle the cable even a little, the display will turn green…and if you jiggle it a little more, you can get it back to normal. Is there any way to replace the whole cable? If so, does anyone know a good source for a replacement cable (new or used)?
i searched and only found 2 threads regarding this issue with 22" displays…but nobody replied. So, any help would be much appreciated!

My ADC cable (20" clear cinema display to G4 mirror door ADC port) has rotted away and I need to replace it. What are my option$? Can't find the original cable anywhere on line but see a lot of the Apple DVI to ADC adaptors (eBay). (The mirror door G4 has both ADI and DVI ports). But looking at the pictures I'm not sure that'll do the trick-- it looks to me like the ADC end of it is on the power supply ... not sure how that will physically plug into the back of the display, at least it doesn't look like it will. Maybe there's an adapter needed?

The cable is permanently connected to the display. There are some cables for sale that may have come from broken displays, but they are for every size except the 20". One may be compatible with the 20", but you will have to open your display to see if it matches.

Yes it can. NO idea how it'll work in India but I believe APple's policies are world wide. Replacement costs start at $249 and goes up depending on the model. What you're really paying for is a reduced cost to replace your broken one with a refurbished one.
I'd look for authorized repair shops in your area (the 'contact us' link on the lower right of this page goes to a page with phone numbers and links to world wide authorized repair places) and go from there.
Non-authorized ones will be cheaper but if you use one of those you will void any remainder of your factory warranty.

Can the changing port be replaced

My 4 year old son decided to help charge my daughters 2nd gen iPod by shoving the lightening connector into the port over and over damaging and flattening all the pins. Is there anyway to replace the charging port? Or will apple fix it if I take it to an apple store? How much?

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Can the monitor frame be replaced?

Hello everyone,
I just had an unfortunate accident which involved the fall of my MacBook Air purchased just a few months ago.
The only apparent damage seems to be the monitor frame, which is now bent on the top left corner.
I was wondering if replacing the frame alone is possible or if I'm going to be forced to replace the entire upper part including the monitor, which is absolutely undamaged.

I have one of the original MB Air computers with an internal hard drive. Does Apple offer the option of upgrading to the solid state drive? If I did (and it is possible) would it run cooler?

That said, you may be able to find a 3rd-party Apple Service Provider that would do it. Be sure to find someone certified. The MacBook Air isn't the easiest machine to work on.
Going to an SSD would give you a performance boost, but I'm not sure it would help with heat that much.
And there's the question of money. Spending the money an SSD + install may not be worth it on an original MBA.

Apple does not repair devices at all.
As stated, you can elect to find a local repair shop to do the work, but understand that Apple does not sell parts either.
Alternatively, you can choose to do an Out of Warranty replacement via Apple and get a 90 day warranty on the replacement device.
Another option would be to replace the device with a more current model.

ADC cable swapable?

Looking to replace the ADC cable on my 20-inch studio (clear). Checked the eBay listings and there are a few cables listed for the 23-inch but none for the 20-inch. Opened up my 20-inch to see what the connections looked like and they appear to be the same as those on eBay listed as apple part # 922-5585 (instead of 922-5508 the part number for the 20-inch).
I wonder if they are the same part just with different numbers for different displays.If they have the same connectors, can they be incompatible in some other way?

Try disabling a/v software and turn off the Firewall on your PC.
Disable antivirus software
Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
Then connect the iPod to your computer. Launch iTunes. If your computer still won't recognize the iPod check out this article.

Once your iPod is functioning again, with it connected to your computer, launch iTunes. Select the iPod under Devices in the source list on the left.
Select the box next to: Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected
That way iTunes should open automatically when you connect your iPod to your computer.

Just the plug-end needs changed. I the UK you should beable to find the cord that plugs into the back of the iMac and has the correct wall-end.

i am using an IPOD 4 Gen
last 4 months, my ipod is not getting detected on my Windows 7 PC
its not detected in itunes nor in my computer

After four years they are not going to replace your device for free.
If you put it into disk mode and Windows doesn't detect it then either the cable is faulty, or the docking port. I've seen the port get clogged up with enough lint to prevent the a good electrical contact with one or more pins which is enough to prevent communications. This can be cleaned out with canned air or gently teased out with a thin sliver of plastic or cardboard. See Corrupt iPod classic for some info. on device diagnostics.
