Can the Apple Watch Bluetooth pair with a car

Just curious; can the watch be paired to a car's Bluetooth?

There seems to be conflicts with the Apple Watch, iPhone6 Bluetooth and car connectivity.  The iPhone is the hub that Bluetooth goes through for both the watch and the car, the watch itself is not pairing to the car.  I have an iPhone 6 Plus that has no problem connecting to my Toyota RAV4 EV audio and phone system via Bluetooth.  I recently paired an Apple Watch to the phone, and all was well until the next time I got into my car.  The automobile Bluetooth would no longer automatically pair with the phone, and when I forced a connection, the result was that my watch would no longer receive calls.  I left it alone, and a few days later I realized that my watch had ceased other operations as well: it would no longer charge with the provided dock, and sending taps, heartbeats and on-watch texts immediately failed.  Ultimately, I had to remove the car Bluetooth connection from my iPhone and reset the watch to "out of the box" settings before it became functional again.  At this point I cannot connect the iPhone to the car via Bluetooth without impacting the watch.  Apple Watch devs: software fix, please!

No, neither the first nor the second gen iPad supports a mouse - there is no cursor for a mouse to control, all you have on the iPad is an insertion point when entering or amending text

  • Can the apple watch track the distance of a run without iPhone pairing.

I have been searching the net to establish if the apple watch can track distance without iPhone pairing. I have an older iPod nano which I use to measure distance indoors i.e on a treadmill, hopefully the apple watch could do the same. I believe that the iphone may be needed to track the route of the run, however I can't find any content about tracking distance without the iPhone.

    Hi
Thanks Frank, however, I was hoping for something about the accelerometer as I thought the watch would be pretty pointless for runners who don't always want to carry their iPhone with them, especially the iPhone 6 plus. Furthermore, if people want to track activity in indoor environments such as tennis courts or squash courts. I did find the below which helps.
MacDailyNews Note: Apple Watch will not have GPS, but it has an on-board accelerometer, so it’ll be able track your steps, distance, and pace. Therefore, even without iPhone, you’ll know how far you’ve gone, you just won’t know where you’ve gone. If you want a map of your route, you’ll need to strap the iPhone to your arm or carry it in your hand as usual. For avid runners who also **** after the mammoth iPhone 6 Plus (6.22 inches (158.1 mm) x 3.06 inches (77.8 mm) x 0.28 inch (7.1 mm) at 6.07 ounces (172 grams), this will create quite the conundrum.
Apologies, this is the first thing I have posted on the support communities, should this post be somewhere other than the developer forum?

  • Can the Apple watch totally replace my iPhone?

Can Apple watch totally replace my iPhone?

No, it can't. The Apple Watch is an extension the iPhone.
You need an iPhone to set up the Apple Watch. Without the iPhone this is what you can do with an Apple Watch once it's set up:
Use Apple Watch without its paired iPhone
Although you need an iPhone to do most things with Apple Watch, you can still do several things with Apple Watch without having an iPhone in range.
Play music from a synced playlist on Apple Watch
Use the watch, alarms, timers, and the stopwatch
Keep track of your activity (stand, move, exercise) with the Activity app
    Track workouts

  • HT201205 How can I keep my phone paired with my car after I leave car?  My 4 had no problem

I just replaced my iPhone 4 with a 5s.  It pairs with my car and when I leave my car, it uu-pairs.  My 4 did not have this problem.
I don't want to have to pair my phone everytime I get in the car.

What do you mean by "unpairs"?
Do you mean your iPhone forgets it was ever paired to your car?
Or do you mean your iPhone drops its connection to your car (which it should certainly do)?
If you mean it forgets it was ever paired, try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.  Then pair your iPhone to your car what will hopefully be one last time.

  • Just updated my iPhone 4S to ISO6 and now the phone will not pair with my car(Lexus ) is this an issue with the car firmware or iOS 6?

Just updated my 4s to iSo 6 and now the phone does to pair with my Lexus anyone have/solve this issue? Is it a firmware problem with the car?

Was it pairing before the iOS update?
If so, delete the pairings in the device and the car, then try again.
If it was not, the issue is most likely the car.

  • Bluetooth pair with VW car phone handfree system

I have 4 Iphone devices in my family (3G-3GS-4-5). None of these is enabled to pair to my car (VW Passat) bluetooth phone system RNS510 . I was told by the VW customer's service that RNS510 operate the mobile phones through the rSAP (remote Sim Access Protocol) which is absent and not supported in the IOS devices. Would it be possible to download from the store the rSAP  app or similar? Thank you.

Fine. I have received the following message in my email address:

before I tagged my post in the community I have spent a whole night in reading posts those my help me and I went also through the recommended document written in the Apple support team reply.
It sounds like :" take this or leave it"
I spent above 60.000 Euro for my super tech VW Passat CC and I can not pair my apple phones with the 5.500 Euro RNS  510 device built in the car. That's superb as I have not this problem with my friend's smart phones (HTC, Samsumg, LG, BLACKNERRY, etc...). Really funny.
IS THERE SOMEBODY who can provide an helpful advice or recommendation?
It is needed the rSAP (REMOTE SIM ACCESS PROTOCOL) application which run on IOS devices (i.e. IPHONE 5, 4 and 3).
Is there anybody able to develop an application for such simply and existing protocol?
Otherwise I would rather leave the Apple family  forever as INEFFICIENTLY recommended by the Apple support team.
    My warmest regards from Rome

  • Can the apple wireless keyboard work with Apple TV

I just set up my ATV and was wondering if it can recognize an apple wireless keyboard. If so, how would I set that up?

No, this is not currently possible.
If you have an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad you could use Apple's Remote app.

If you go to google.com and type in "what time is it in <name of city>?",  you can find out what time it is in any city in the world.
You can also ask Siri the same question.
Which, oddly, never occurred to me.

  • Is the apple watch compatible with iPod touch

I Know the apple watch is compatible with iPhone but what about iPod touch? Would it work with Bluetooth?

I do know that it will work with the iPhone 5 and later, and I doubt that Apple wouldn't make the Apple Watch compatible with the iPod Touch. The fact that the Apple Watch will be able to make calls concerns me. You can not make calls on the iPod Touch with any built-in app, so that might make the iPod Touch excluded from being compatible with the Apple Watch. I am almost one hundred percent sure that IF the Apple Watch is compatible with the iPod Touch it will only be compatible with the 5th generation.

  • Can the apple superdrive connect and be used on an imac?

Can the Apple Superdrive be used with an iMac?

Apple's USB SuperDrive requires more power than is normally allowed for an USB device, and therefore isn't intended for Macs which shipped with an internal one. If you want, you can get it to work by editing one of the computer's plist files.

  • Can you use apple watch without pairing to iphone?

can you use apple watch without pairing to iphone?

Essentially no.  Your watch has to connect to an iphone to be of any use.
Once you do pair your watch and phone and you are in a known wifi area, you can turn off Bluetooth and your watch SHOULD connect directly with wifi. I've found it doesn't always connect.
As of right now my bluetooth on the phone is OFF and I'm on wifi and can get notifications, play games, imessages, check instagram, etc etc.

  • Does the Apple remote control work with MacBook Pro with retina? If yes, how can I sync it?

Does the Apple remote control work with MacBook Pro with retina? If yes, how can I sync it?
    Thanks!

It should. First, turn on BlueTooth on the computer. In BT preferences be sure to check the option to look for all devices. Your remote should be picked up and a notice asking if you want to Pair it with the computer. Select Yes. Once it is paired it can be used to control your computer.

  • When I got the IOS 8.2 update it did not come with the apple watch app like it said it wouldo

I went to settings and clicked on the IOS 8.2 update and when it restarted the apple watch which on the update discription said would be there wasn't there

The Apple Watch app is only on the iPhone. You can't pair a watch with a iPad even though it was included in the update.

    Hi Eslam El-Gammal,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that after resetting your iPhone, you are being prompted for Apple ID information that is not yours. This can happen if an iPhone is restored without turning off the Find My Phone feature. For more information on this, please refer to the attached article.
