Can the Calendar please be made to work

Is it beyond Apple's ken to make a competent Calendar application? Is it not possible for the OS and the iPhone to understand and use floating time zones?
I enter an appointment on the iPhone 2:30pm Eastern. I sync. I open Calendar on the Mac. In month view the appointment is displayed as 11:30a. I open the appointment to edit it and inside it says the time is 2:30pm. I reset the time to floating (which I can't assign on the iPhone apparently) the appointment then syncs correctly on the iPhone.
This business with floating time zones and Calendar has been going on for years, and they simply have never been able to get it right. It's really pretty poor.

There are some reports on www.xlr8yourmac.com in the SCSI area that report of PC to Mac conversion of an Adaptec 2940UW card by simply flashing it's firmware. One visible difference between PC and Mac versions of the cards is that the Mac versions of the controller chip are labeled AHC, and PC AHA.
Some years ago, Adaptec called all Mac users to upgrade their 2940 to e.g. 29160, of course not for free, and than dropped future support of Apple not much later. I cannot get any Adaptec product, beside the 2930 to work reliably and according to its specs in anything newer than a G3 (open firmware 2.1), regardless of firmware tweaks, etc. Personally, I will never buy any adaptec product again.

You can select the calendar to sync in the Info Tab in the iTunes window on the right, when your iPad is connected to the Mac , while iTunes is running and after you select the iPad on the left side under the devices heading.

There's a new driver bundle for OSX 10.6 that you might need to install, the HP link seems to be failing at the moment but there's a version of it here: HP_Installer_Scanjet_v2.4.3_Ph4.dmg

No, the bluetooth profile in the iPad does not provide that
capacity. Can your netbook be a wifi transmitter? If yes,
you can connect to the internet via htc-phone and pass
the connection to the netbook which will connect via wifi
to iPad. I am not familiar with the hardware in netbooks nor
the capabilities of Windows, so what I am suggesting looks
good in theory but the reality may not allow it. Still worth
checking into.

Is it possible to modify the Calendar object to only show working days?

Is there a way to configure the Calendar selection, duration calculations, and notification dates in the system to only include working days (i.e. holidays and weekends are not counted and not available for selection)? This is particlular for Purchasing and Sourcing Modules.

You can do the change through group policy preferences, or some other method you prefer (ConfigMgr compliance settings for example).

HI Jason269. Thanks for your reply, however I wrote that I already have "All events" checked. If All Events is checked and it doesn't diaplay all events, how do I fix? It seems this is a common issue, as I have read many others on here state the same problem.
I believe my problem occurred when I synced my iMac calendar to my iPad calendar using yahoo. Yesterday, I unsynced them on my iMac controls. When I checked my iPad calendar, all of my old entries reappeared - but only for five seconds and disappeared again. So, the data is saved and still there but cannot be displayed, even when I have All events checked. In fact, it only shows my individual entries for the last two months, but does show all my recurring entries. If I switched to last six months, I will see everything for the last six months. If I switch back to all events, it is only for the last two months.
As I mentioned, others on here have expressed exactly the same issue, including the two month example and having used yahoo.
For legal purposes, I need to be able to use the information from my indidual calendar entries in an upcoming court case. So I really need to fix this ASAP!

I'm sorry - I misunderstood you. You only want to see the first 12 hours of the day. Is that correct? If that is what you want to do, I don't think that's possible to remove 12 hours from the calendar view.

Can the Calendar app be/get smarter?

The adding of an event within a Blackberry couldn't be simpler and the opposite is to be said about the iPhones Calendar ... unless I'm missing something.
I would like to add an event or reminder by touching a time in the "day view" and just start typing.
Within my calendar settings/preferences I would put parameters that I would want for the vast majority of my reminders/entries/events ... such as length of the event, alarm, repeat, etc... For the few occasions that I would need to change these parameters I would go into the actual event and change the length of the meeting, or alarm parameters, etc...
Also ... When I am notified of the event/reminder I would like two options to come up ... "ignore" or "Edit". Kind of like a text does with "view" and "close". So then if I have not completed the "reminder", say "take out the trash" ... then I can push "edit" and push it back a few hours or if I already took out the trash I could push "ignore". Seems easy enough?
Is this possible? Is there an app that does this? Why hasn't Apple implemented this easy and efficient method? They got everything else right except this feature ... in my opinion ...

We are creating a report that will extract customers that have changed or updated in Oracle. The user requested to include also the specific change made to the customer. Is there a way that we can capture what are the changes/updates made to a customer?
We understand that the last update date and updated by could be tracked. But, is it possible to find what change was done in which field?

This will only tell you if the user you're interested in was the most recent person to update that table, but not what they did, and if they were not the most recent, then all trace will be gone.
Have you considered enabling auditing? It's not going to provide details of anything which has already happened, but it keeps fairly detailed records, but at the cost of a large performance hit.

It also lacks Wlan, Bluetooth, Infrared and a card slot.
