Can the css pass on the original source ip to the actual server

I have css11501, and load balacing is done for 3servers. The server application registers the source Ip of the client login. At present server is getting only the Vip. How can the css made to pass the client/source IP to the server.

Can I do automatic page refresh? How many of them can the web server take?

I'd like to ask this question in both short and (if you be so kind) in long form:
Short: Can a portion of my APEX page be set to refresh automatically ones every few minute? Not the whole page, just a portion. Would I have to use frames for that? Can they be invisible?
Long: I'd like to create a web interface, which would allow multiple users to track duration of some tasks. More importantly it has to allow other users to see each other's progress (which task somebody is on, how long he has been on it down to several minutes). I understand to server side of it. However, the client side presents a problem of information refresh. I want users to be able to sit without touching their mouses or keyboard and see changes for other users as they happen.
What do I mean by "as they happen?" Ideally, I'd like to present changes in real time. My brief research of Push HTTP technology, pointed toward Comet or Flash. However, I don't know much about web development and as of now, cannot commit too much time to learning new technologies.
The second best option, is to update information every couple of minutes. Two question arise here. First is the "short" question - please see above.
Let's say the page sections can be refreshed automatically. Then I have a question about the load. If I potentially get thousands of simultaneous users, each sending a refresh request every 2-3 minutes, how bad would be the load on the web server and on the network throughput. The amount of data passed can be small, but I am very concerned about the load on web server and the traffic. (I am planning to do virtual hosting with a web hosting company). Somehow I am not concerned about the load on the database (maybe I should be). All calculations will be put in a stored procedure, at least I can optimize it.
Any other suggestions on how to approach this client refresh issue?

These answers are helpful but I still need more info. The first answer suggests putting html refresh tag. But that would refresh the whole page, wouldn't it? I just need to refresh one region. Can it be done with html tag?
I reviewed the Javascript code in the example referenced in the second answer. It showed that I can refresh a region using Javascript. It looks very nice. However, I need to refresh with data pulled from the database. I am not familiar with AJAX (need to lear JavaScript first) and I know that JavaScript cannot query database on its own. So I am not sure that this example is relevant.
What I need is: Only 1 region of the page needs to be refreshed every 5 minutes. The rest should "stay put." Everytime the refresh is performed the database will be queried for new data by means of stored db procedure. Do I need to jump through hoops to do that or is it fairly straightforward thing to do?

Can the sync server use for sync the custom database?

I review some document from OCS. Sync server (mobile data sync) will connect to the calendar server to sync data. Anyway, if I would like to sync custom data, not with calendar server, is it possible? If so, how? (Can I connect mobile data sync server to the oracle database directly without calendar server?)
Further question, if the database contain binary large object (files), can I sync just only attribute of the file (for example if the name of the file is changed.)

Can the CIM server listen on the HTTPS port 5989?

In the man page of init.wbem it is mentioned that it starts or stops the CIM boot manager.And at startup, the CIM Object Manger Listens for RMI connections on RMI port 5987 and for XML/HTTP connections on HTTP port 5988.
But 5988 is not the secured port and I want the CIMOM to listen on the secured port 5989. CAn we change its configuration to listen on the HTTPS port 5989? and if so how can it be done?

The current version of the Solaris CIMOM doesn't support https, which is usually found on port 5989.

Can the BlackBerry serve as an MP3 in the car?

My Volvo XC90 has the AUX cable capabilities but I was wondering if there is a cable out there that can be used for the BB to play in the car?

I have a Curve 8900 and have not been able to make it work with an auxillary cable in my Lexus. My ipod works just fine using this (it's a very standard type cable). Somewhere I read that a special type of cable might be needed, but the ones I've seen online, supposedly for my model, are exactly the same as what I already have. Also, is there any way to do it wirelessly? My car has bluetooth and it works perfectly with the phone for that. I've been on several Blackberry-oriented websites and can't seem to get straight answers to these questions regarding media files though...so if anyone can help I'd be really grateful!! Thank you!

When I try to access the internet via Safari from the actual server, I get the "Safari can't connect to the proxy server" message" but all the client machines can successfully access the internet....
I'll start to read up on proxies but if someone can offer a suggestion in the meantime, that would be terrific. I know it's something simple I am missing...

No snarkiness taken Mr. Hoffman...As a full-time high school teacher, I've been setting up our small school server on my own time for the past three months...with the help of the server docs, manuals, and the great help found within this forum, we are finally to a point where we can begin using the server.
What I'm just not understanding is WHAT proxy do I use? I see all kinds of proxy servers out there but is there a specific one I should be using?
Again, forgive me for my ignorance on this matter...I just don't understand why after a year of not using a proxy server, all of a sudden we need to have one? And this issue came about when Safari was unable to "connect to the proxy server"...

How can the client know if the SSL certificate specified in the service-config.xml file is invalid/untrusted/expired? For example using iOS client, the trusted certificate will not work and the client has no way to know that the certificate is untrusted. Can the lcds server return any specific exceptions for SSL errors?

We use a standard Java keystore and certificate validation can be handled as per standard best practices. At present we do not provide a hook point to validate the server certificate. However, you can register a bootstrap service which validates the certificate on system startup: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811f00f 6fe7f-7ffeUpdate.html This would require you to pass another copy of the keystore configuration to you Bootstrap service and then you can inspect the certificate in the keystore and validate it.

CSS SSL Proxy - how can I write the original source address in http header

I'm replacing some BigIP's with CSS11500's that are configured to do front/backend ssl proxying in a one-armed configuration. The BigIP's write the original source IP address as a http header value when the traffic is sent to the application, and the application uses the IP to match against an application ACL. How can I do the same in the CSS.

Color on exported video on Adobe Premiere Pro Is a bit off from the original source video

I have both Cyberlink powerdirector 10.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro C6
I noticed that adobe premere cs6. when exporting the video.. colors are a little off.. never matching the same tones as the original
source
i took a screenshot so you can see what i mean.. Notice Adobe is a a little mor orange. is there a way to fix this? Cyberlink powedirector always matches the source color when you export it. except Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6

Thanks for answering. I ddi notice different media players show colors different. But on the screenshot i just showed you.. all 3 are from the same media player.
For some reason everytime i export a video from Adobe premiere pro the color is never the same as the source on media player. I tried it on 4 different videos. Other software programs like cyberlink power director export the video with no color change.
1)The original source from the picture is a mpeg-4 (avc)
2)i always use wmv codec to encode all videos. So the shot from Premiere Pro was using WMV codec. and the other shot (cyberlink powerdirector) was also wmv to encde.
3) I even tried to see if maybe i used a different video format to encode it would fix the slight color change. like h264 and mov.. but nope still same issue
4) I did what you told me to show the source and exported video on Adobe Premiere and really weird. the exporterd video from Adobe Premiere now shows the exact color as the source.. but the exported video from Cyberlinkpowerdirector shows the color a bit different.

That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.

Can the origin for an object be always the centre of the stage?

Hello everybody!
I am doing a site where I've got an object bigger than the stage, that I can zoom and drag. My problem is that when I zoom the object, he uses an origin which is on the same object. What i need is that the origin of the object will be always the centre of the stage. The aim is to drag the object and zoom in right where I am, as happens for examle in a Cad.
So, can the origin for an object be always the centre of the stage?

Can you use SQL as a data source for a project in the same way you can in Excel?

Excel allows you to create a data source that executes a SQL stored procedure, display that data as a table in a spreadsheet and have that data automatically refresh each time you open the spreadsheet. Is it possible to do the same thing in MS Project, displaying
the data from the stored procedure as a series of tasks?
Here's what I'm trying to do - I have a stored procedure that pulls task data meeting a specific criteria from all projects in Project Server. We're currently displaying this data as an Excel report. However, the data includes start dates and durations so
it would be nice to be able to display it as a Gantt Chart. I've played around with creating a Gantt chart in Excel and have been able to do a very basic one, but it doesn’t quite fit our needs.

No, You can not use sql as a data source for a project.
You have 3 options to achieve it:
1. You can create a Sharepoint list with desired column ,fill desired data in that list then you can create a MS project from Sharepoint List.
2. You can create a SSRS report in which you can display grantt chart Joe has given you that link.
3. You can write a macro in MPP which will take data from your excel. In excel you will fetch data from your stored procedure. write a schedule which will run every day to update your data or
create an excel report in which will update automatically and write macro in mpp which will fetch the data then publish it so that it would be available to team members.
