Can the Home Network list be cleared ?

When I go into my HH specifically the Home Network page, the list on the wireless connections is massive, listing all devices that are no longer connected like my iPhone.
Is there any way to remove all these dead listings as the refresh button doesnt seem to do much.
Thanks.

Jollyware , If refresh does not work then try this:
Go to your Homehub advanced settings  / Home Network tab.
Under Wireless Connections :  left click on an item you want to delete , and you should get an option to delete, at bottom of the page.
Downside of this is you will need to do this for each enrty.
PS ... there might be a bug on your homehub cos refresh works ok on mine. Its a HH2b
Good luck..... Allamn

  • The airport only finds other networks than the home network I have used before.  Doesn' help to try to manually add/find this network, it simply doesn't come up.  All other networks in the neighborhood are found though. Doesn't help to reboot either

The airport only finds other networks.  Not the home network which I have used before.
It doesn't help to search for new networks, try to manually search or add the network.  Doesn't
help to turn off/on the airport or even the mac.  Doesn't help to reboot the home network - which is
found and connected on the iPhone and iPad. (and network speed is good enough for many devices).
The network just doesn't come up on the list of available networks.
No chance to update software, since got no internet.

I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

  • E2500 randomly drops internet connection but not the home network.

I have an E2500 with the latest firmware upgrade (1.0.03). My configuration is simple, I have a fixed IP from my ISP with fixed DNS servers. I have one computer connected via cable and one connected via wireless and a laptop that gets connected on occasion wirelessly as well. I also have an android phone that I sometimes have the networking turned on and sometimes not. That doesn't seem to be affecting the router either as I've lost connections under both circumstances. The only thing I have different is I clone the MAC address as the ISP has my IP linked to my old Linksys MAC.
The problem is I randomly lose connection to the internet, the home network is still up it's just the internet goes down. I could be on the computer or not, sometimes while browsing sometimes after I browse for a while sometimes before I get started. Fortunately its not happened during one of my online games but it has happened just after I log off the game. It usually happens a couple of times a day.
My fix has been to simply log into the router via html and on the status screen click the reboot button, then the ok, then the continue (I know it by heart). I wait 30 seconds or so and bingo I have my internet back. It's a pain that I'd like to get fixed.
    Any ideas?

There might be some settings required in the router so that it gets the proper solution. If you are facing the concern of getting lag, dropped connections then you can try the following steps:
A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
3] On that same setup page reduce the MTU value to 1400 from Auto
4] Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed,
For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the username field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.

  • Not Connecting to Wired Network and Forcing the loss of all Connections on the Home Network

Just got a new G550 laptop  w/Win 7 OS. Tried to connect to wired router and got message "network cable not connected". Recycled laptop and router and came up with router connected to the laptop. Same message after search and identify steps finished. I then noticed I lost connection to the net/router with my other home networked units as well! Tried another cable, same results along with losing the entire home network connection. Disconnected the G550 from home network, via the cable, and the home network reconnected without any intervention. Tried another reboot directly connected to the cable modem, no go there either!
I also rebooted with the wireless search shutoff and got the same problems as on the wired attempt. Thought it might have been the NIC card so I exchanged the system back at the store.  Sorry, same problem!!

I have a very similar problem... New Lenovo G550, running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Right from the start it causes my TrendNet TEW-432BRP router to crash every 10 seconds. I bought a new DLink WBR-1310 and experience the same problem. Connecting to either router through either a wireless connection or a LAN cable connection causes the router to crash every 10 seconds. The router crashes, reboots, establishes a connection with the laptop, communication starts and then the router crashes again.
    I am looking for help.

  • I cannot printany web pages or emails over a wireless home network. My OS is windows 7 and am using an Epson printer. I know I have the home network set up correctly as i can print files over the network.

I cannot print any email or web pages over a wireless home network. I know that I can print my files over this network, just not anything from the web or emails using Firefox. I am using Windows 7 and printing to an Epson.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== when I set up the wireless home network.

The most likely reason for this is that the wrong printer is chosen in the File->Print window.
In Firefox, go to File->Print and click the dropdown box with printer names. Ensure that the correct network printer is selected, then try printing again.

  • HT2305 I am using an Iomega Home Network Media Server Cloud Edition. I need to know to how to install Bonjour to the Iomega so that it will run my TiVo Desktop Program to transfer media files to/from the TiVo units to/from the Home Network Drive.  Help ?

TiVo support has already advised me that Bonjour Browser is needed so that the TiVo can communicate with the Iomega.  The Iomega already has installed Apples' AFP protocol.
The only way that I can currently transfer or access any files on the Iomega Home Network Cloud Drive with TiVo is if the folder on the Iomega Drive is listed in the TiVo Desktop Plus software that runs the TiVo server. This means that my laptop has to be continually running non-stop for files to transfer or for me to access them.
I am looking for a way where TiVo will recognize the Iomega Home Network Server just as it recognizes the other TiVo unit on my home network.  TiVo menus have a place for adding an app that is TiVo compatiable; however, I have not been able to find any.
Can someone please help?  TiVo has advised me that there 3rd Party software out in tech world that is capable of running the Tivo Desktop Server better than the TiVo Desktop Server Plus program itself but I have been unable to locate it..
    Thanks

  • Two new apple tv's in the home network...

    Hi,
Recently i bought both my kids an apple tv. I am worried now that my home network will get jammed or get really slow as the both watch films from the shared iTunes library on my iMac. The actual media files are on an external hard disk, witch is connected to my iMac via fast usb.
We all share the same iTunes library.
Is there any way to make a second home network that also connects to our iTunes library that the kids can use?
Maybe by making two identical libraries on two separate drives?
My goal is to have one network for professional use and one for play.
    thanks

Is there any way to make a second home network that also connects to our iTunes library that the kids can use?
The problem is the library is useless without a computer running itunes.. apple TV cannot stream from a library.. that is the itunes job.. and in fact the Apple TV is really just a streamer.
So to fix the problem you really need a media computer.. since Apple offers nothing in the way of a media aware box.. but a mac mini.. (2010 or 2011 or 2012 models) you can buy a cheapie second hand.. the advantage of later (2012) is USB3, otherwise you are kind of stuck with the small internal 2.5" drive.. although it is relatively easy to change to a pair of 1TB laptop drives.. I would stick with using something external, like FW800.. or even look around for thunderbolt1 like WD duo.. And make the Mini both a media computer and NAS for your network.
The mini is very quiet and very low power.. you can use it centrally in the house and use a different wireless network.. to keep everything separate.
You don't need a huge drive to start with .. the normal internal 500GB is a pretty lousy slow 5400rpm drive. If your itunes library is bigger than that you will need a bigger drive. Still it gets you started. Certainly if you replace it look at fast laptop drives.. or even use an external SATA drive plugged in by extension cord.. bit messy but a great idea. USB3 on the later ones of course is fast enough.
You have entered a world of pain without realising it.. giving kids their own ATV..

  • Mini stopped recognizing the home network

I have an intel mini 1.42GHz with 1G memory, a G4 Quicksilver, 733MHz, and a 1 GHz G4 iBook. The mini and the quicksilver are on a wired network and the ibook is on an airport network, and I also sometimes use an ethernet cable connection with it as well.
Recently, the mini and the quicksilver have stopped recognizing the network. I can still get internet, via DSL, which is distributed throught the network, but I can't connect the computers to each other via the wired network, like if I want to transfer files between them. I can connect to the mini only via airport from the ibook, but not to the quicksilver (it doesn't even show up in the list) and I can't connect to the ibook from the mini. The ibook will not connect to the mini via the ethernet wire.
Personal file sharing is checked on in the system prefs. I don't know of anything that has changed recently with the setup, except that I recently upgraded iLife on the mini. Any suggestions?
The mini runs 10.4.11, the ibook and the quicksilver run 10.3.9.

I tried to reply to this awhile back, then was out of town, then was busy (as always...)
    Anyway...
I don't know why, but it started working this morning. I think you're right about my network setup. DSL comes in from the phone line, goes to a router, and is then directed to the mini, the QS, the ibook, a network printer, a wireless router, and a PC.
I tried pinging the ibook and the QS from the mini this morning and it worked fine. I was able to connect to the other computers OK. The only think I did last night is that I had to do a ctrl-cmd-power switch restart after the ibook locked up when trying to connect to one of the other systems.
I also notice that the QS doesn't show up in the Network list if it's gone to to the screen saver, but the mini does. Another strange thing (that I don't think is new) is that there are two entries for the mini in the ibook's and QS's list of systems. One is called "SKS Mini" and seems to be the one that works. The other one is called "SKS-MINI". If I try to connect to that one, I get a window titled "SMB/CIFS Filesystem Authentication." It also seems to go to the mini, but I'm not sure why there is this extra entry here.
    Thanks for the help.
    Anon, y'all

  • How to install LaserJetP1006 over the home network

    Hello,
I have the P1006 installed on a Windows XP desktop.
I am trying to print from a Windows 8.1 (64bit) laptop , which is connected to the XP desktop via a standard home network/router..
Windows 8.1 is unable to find the driver to install.
On the HP website, there is only an exe file which does not allow Windows 8.1 to extract the actual driver file.
Where can I download the actual driver file(s) and do a manual installation of this printer on the Windows 8.1 laptop.
    Thanks for your help.

  • In accessibility option can the home key be assigned to end a telephone call?

In accessibiility mode can I assign the home key to end a telephone call on an iphone 3gs?

Quicksilver, free, reviewed at [http://www.macworld.com/reviews/product/526533/review/quicksilver.html] However the doing a web search for this reveals somewhat uncertain sources. There's a 10.6 version at http://www.blacktree.com/ The site looks pretty broken but the download still works.
    Second edit:
Seeing that Quicksilver's site appears to be unsupported you might be better with the Spark recommendation. One Spark user even said they had given up on QS for Spark.
