Can the IMAQ 1424 be configured for other digital cameras?

I hope the answer is yes! Because when I read:
Compatible with Cohu, Dalsa, Hamamatsu, Kodak, and Pulnix cameras
I didnt take that to mean
ONLY COMPATIBLE with Cohu, Dalsa, Hamamatsu, Kodak, and Pulnix cameras
That is to say I was operating under the impression that you could configure the IMAQ 1424 to work with other cameras, as long as you have all the pertinent information of said camera. What worries me is on my initial attempt in the IMAQ software it says that the option to configure a camera only works for non-digital card/cameras. I havent got into the software and hardware in great detail yet, maybe I will find that this is a non-issue but I just thought I would ask,
in that if the answer is no I wont waste anymore time. So, if I can configure the 1424 to work with OTHER cameras, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks a 10^6

Grant,
Yes, it can be used with other cameras. The list of compatible cameras only includes the ones NI has already written configuration files for.
For cameras not in the list, you need two things. You need a cable that will connect all the appropriate signals. This may require a terminal block or custom cable. You will also need an camera configuration file, that tells the camera how to read the video signal, how to react to different signals, etc. The main problem is that NI does not document the format of the configuration files, so it can be difficult to write your own. They are usually willing to help by writing the basic file, but you are on your own if you want to implement anything fancy. If you study other files, it isn't too difficult to figure
out how to do it.
I would contact NI and discuss the specific camera you are trying to connect to the 1424. If it is a common camera, they may already have the files or cables you need (or know where they can be found). If it is not a common camera, they can tell you what needs to be done and how difficult it will be to do.

  • How do I increase the maximum number of images I can acquire in a sequence using the IMAQ 1424 with 80 MB of onboard memory and a Duncan Tech camera?

I've increased the maximum number of buffers to higher than I need, but I still cannot acquire more than 139 images with the Duncan Tech digital video camera before I get a memory lock error. Is there any way to increase the number of images I can acquire in a sequence using the IMAQ 1424 with 80MB of onboard memory?

It sounds like you are already bypassing the onboard memory. If you weren't, you would only be able to acquire about 20 images.
If I understand correctly, you do not convert the images until after you acquire them. This means each acquired image is 4.13 MB, and 139 images will take 574 MB of memory. I wouldn't be surprised if that was all the free memory available on a 1 GB machine. The operating system, LabVIEW and any other software running probably take up the rest of the memory. You might want to put your computer on a diet and minimize the number of other programs and utilities running. The only other option I see is getting more memory if possible.
Is there a way that you can reduce the number of images you need to acquire? Pe
rhaps skipping every other frame? Do you really need more than 139 images?
Is it possible to acquire the images in monochrome? That would triple the number of images that you could acquire.

is there another way i can download the update? it just never work, tried multiple time

    The most common causes are:
Your antivirus, firewall or router security is blocking access to Apple's servers - try temporarily disabling them - if you have Kaspersky this is definitely the problem
At some time in the past you used this computer to jailbreak, unlock or otherwise hack ANY iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad - if this applies to you your hosts file is corrupt and you will have to edit it and remove any lines that contain "gs.apple.com"

    Hi,
My App runs on Android. Free publications can download, but when I publish a folio to sell, it appears on the Android device and it gives the message: "This version of the application is not configured for billing"
I used the (long) app license code at the API section and pasted it into the android Public Key aria in the DPS Admin.
Then I logged out and logged in again.
Any Ideas what could be wrong?

  • Can the MacBook Air work with any other type of internet connection beside wifi?

Can the MacBook Air work with any other kind of internet connection besides Wifi?

Who? ITS VERY important when doing a restore, in fact you DO NOT want to do a wifi restore
The pros all have that Ethernet adapter,... that should tell you something. An Ethernet restore via that "thing" makes restoring the OSX about 8X faster.
Its called a Gigabit Ethernet adapter for a reason.
"who the heck" is anyone working with their Macbook Air at home and want a MUCH FASTER download / internet connection.
*Stockbrokers who pack their Macbook Air, arrive at work and plug that "hardwired" dongle to their Air........  because even seconds in the stock market can make the difference between losing a million $$, or making a million $$

  • Can the H-Squared Air Mount for AirPort Extreme be mounted horizontally on a wall withOUT the Horizontal Adapter?

Can the H-Squared Air Mount for the Airport Extreme Base Stataion (5th Generation) be mounted horizontally on a wall withOUT also having to buy the Horizontal Adapter (which costs another $14.95)?
Are there mounting holes in the Air Mount to allow for that?

Can the H-Squared Air Mount for the Airport Extreme Base Stataion (5th Generation) be mounted horizontally on a wall withOUT also having to buy the Horizontal Adapter (which costs another $14.95)?
Yes, if you wanted to use a couple of L brackets, you could do this. The chances of the pre-drilled holes in the L brakets  lining up with the pre-drilled holes in the Air Mount are open to question, though. So, you may need to some drilling.
I suppose you could design your own horizonatal adapter out of wood, but once you did that, you might as well use another piece of wood for the top shelf. Then, you don't need the Air Mount at all.
Are there mounting holes in the Air Mount to allow for that?
The Air Mount has a dozen, maybe more pre-drilled holes. As you might imagine, the Horizontal Adapter mates perfectly with the Air Mount.  The picture in the link below will give you a good idea.

I want to change the settings (brightness, contrast, gamma) for my internal cam on Macbook pro. I find having to but a third party software (iglasses, webcam settings) to control basic settings as unnecessary and exploitative. Does anyone have a solution?

It is not about payment of $19.95 (Igalsses) or $7.99(webcam settings). This is a very basic setting that should be available in the system settings. The automatic setting of the internal cam does not work great on low lighting as everyone is aware.
i am just amazed how users take in lying down and suggest solutions such as paying for a 3rd party paid app or improving the lighting in your room.

I added photos from my laptop onto my iphone 4s,now I can't delete them. There is no trash can for these photos, but there is for others. What have I done?

Sounds like you used iTunes to sync them to your phone. You will need to use iTunes to unsync them - they can't be deleted on the phone.

  • How can I manually verify autodiscovery configuration for on premise environment from Lync 2013 desktop client?

I have very limited access to an environment (basically just user access). I am documenting the Lync 2013 cilent for this environment. I was provisioned a limited SIP enabled account for testing. Autodiscovery from the Lync 2010 client works, but not from
the 2013 client. I can connect (with some issues) from either 2010 client (autodiscovery) and 2013 client (manually configuring the server). So I want to verify if the Autodiscover is configured correctly to work with the 2013 client or not and if the reason
it fails for me is due to something wrong with my account or if this will happen with other users?
I have checked the lyncdiscoverinternal.domain.com and it resolves and is reachable. I can navigate to https :// lyncdiscoverinternal.domain.com/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root/domain and it returns the information I would think it should
including hrefs to Internal/Autodiscover, Internal/AuthBroker, External/Autodiscover, External/AuthBroker, Internal/Mcx & External/Mcx as well as fqdns for SipClientExternalAccess, SipClientInternalAccess, SipServerExternalAccess & SipServerInternalAccess.
The AuthBrokers urls return what I believe is the expected RemoteService Service pages. The Mcx urls return what I believe is the expected McxService2 Service pages. The SipClientInternalAccess & SipServerInternalAccess fqdns are both resolvable and
reachable. The Autodiscover urls return hrefs for Domain and User. Those Domain urls return the same information as the initial root/domain url and the user url (which I believe is the one that is actually opened by lync during the autodiscover process) returns
what I believe is an expected 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials page.
If I explicitly configure the Lync 2013 client to use the fqdn listed for SipClientInternalAccess, the client will log me in. However on Automatic configuration, it fails to log me in.
One other note is that when I watch with Wireshark, I observed that it is getting another internal server fqdn from somewhere. We'll just say that the SipClientInternalAccess fqdn is lyncABC.domain.internal. When looking at Wireshark and the DNS requests,
I'm also seeing a lync2013ABC.domain.internal that does resolve and is reachable and can also be used as the explicitly listed server in the Lync 2013 client and it will log in. However, that fqdn is not listed in any of the root or domain url replies. So
I'm not sure where it is coming from or how to check that.
Is there any additional information anywhere that can tell me exactly what the behavior of the 2013 client is when trying to find the server to authenticate to and how I can reproduce any missing steps manually to determine what it is identifying as the
login server (if any) since it is obviously not the trying the one listed as SipClientInternalAccess?
    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,
To narrow down the issue, you could refer to the following steps first.
    1. Delete the Lync client 2013 user profile and registry key.
    User profile:
    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
    Registry Key:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
    Certificate:
    a. Open Windows Certificate Manager. To do this, press Windows + R, type certmgr.msc, and then click OK.
    b. Expand Personal, and then expand Certificates.
    c. Look for a certificate that's issued by Communications Server and delete it.
    2. Upgrade Lync client to the latest update.
    3. Check the DNS records(A records and SRV records) again.
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • Can Central System administration be configured for JAVA systems?

I know, we can configure Central system administration (DSWP -> Solution -> Operations Setup) for ABAP and ABAP+JAVA systems.
Can some one tell me, can it be configured for JAVA systems like Portal?
    Thanks
    Aditya

    Hello Aditya
Unfortunatelly Java only systems are not supported by CSA in EHP1. The CSA infrastructure is currently being overhauled and as a result of this, pure Java systems will also be covered starting with the next release of SAP Solution MAnager (SAP Solution Manager 7.1) The availability of this next release will be this year, but I am not yet sure when exactly. You can check further info in www.service.sap.com/solutionmanager -> in the last line of this page there is a link to get detail about this version Ramp-Up.
