Can the inbuilt Mac FTP server be made secure?

Last night I followed a tutorial on how to set up your router and firewall so that the inbuilt FTP server can be accessed from outside computers (using Dynamic DNS). It appears though that FTP clients have to log in to the server using only plain un-secured FTP on port 21. Is there anyway to set the FTP server up so that it can accept secured connections?

The Finder only does regular ftp, sftp can be used in the Terminal though.

I would like to configure one of them, but i don't know how can i registry an FTP server in SLD, and use this FTP server as a Business Service in Integration Directory.

In the SLD Create a Technical System of ThirdParty Type.
Choose Home ® Technical Systems.
       2.      Choose New Technical System.
The System Type screen appears.
       3.      Select the Third-Party indicator and choose Next.
The General screen appears.
       4.      Enter system details and choose Next.
The Installed Products screen appears.
       5.      On the left, select installed software products by selecting the Installed indicator.
On the right, all software components that are part of the selected software products appear.
       6.      On the right, select installed software components by selecting the Installed indicator.
       7.      Choose Finish.

Adobe flash media encoder compatibility with the lion mac mini server

Can anyone tell me if the adobe flash media encoder is compatible with the lion mac mini server?

I am running adobe live flash encoder on a new mac-mini server with Lion and am able to stream video just fine - however I get a hum in the audio. I am not sure whether the hum is caused by the audio input, the camcorder, the adobe encoder, or the combination, but it seems to be the camcorder's fault.
There is a manual about migrating or upgrading to lion server, but none about instituting a new capability from scratch

What version of Muse are you using? If it's not 2014.2, please go to the Creative Cloud Desktop App or creative.adobe.com and update.
The FTP login failure is most likely due to your host not supporting FTP Extended Passive Mode. In Muse 2014.2 switch to "Passive (PASV)" in the Connect to FTP Server dialog.
Regarding performance, how large is your site (in pages and megabytes)? How many Design view tabs are open? What specific operations are slow?

Does the Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor on the new Mac Mini Server support 3D Monitors?
I'm in the process of purchasing a 3D LED Monitor (27" S27A950D Series 9 LED 3D Monitor) and would like to know if it will be fully compatible with the Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor that came with the Mac Mini Server (Mid 2011).
Will it be possible to play 3D Games and watch 3D movies with this graphics card?
Also, does the new Mac Mini Server come with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Core Processor?

Mac FTP Server Help??

I have a whole bunch of movies and TV series' on my Macbook Pro. I am wanting to put them on my WD Mybook external HD. My question is; Is it possible to setup an FTP server to host the movies that are on my external Drive? If so how do I go about doing this. I want to setup this FTP server for streaming purposes only. The purpose for this FTP server is to watch movies inside my house and when im outside of my house.

Ok Nathan, now that we have the requirements sorted out, I can tell you that using an FTP server this way is probably not going to work well, and is more difficult to set up than using software you already have. What I mean is that you can use your iTunes media library on your mac as a shared library; your iPad can connect to it using wi-fi. There is an article here on how:

So, in your case, the only other thing you will need to achieve is to move your iTunes media folder to the external drive, as per your very first sentence in this discussion. There are steps for doing that here:

Note that from then on, you will need the external disk to be connected in order to access any iTunes content (songs, videos, mobile apps etc). If the external drive is not connected and you start iTunes, it will default the iTunes media folder back to your internal drive and you will have to choose the external drive again as per the apple article.

Apple's own Server software is not available free, you have to purchase it via the App Store. It is however very cheap.
Most of the services included in Server.app are actually hidden in standard OS X for example Apache, it is possible to in theory set them up and use them via the command line, however if you want to use Apple's software in an Apple way you should buy the official software.
Remember OS X is a real Unix operating system.
What might be more useful to look at is that there is also a free package called MAMP which is the Mac equivalent to LAMP for Linux. This includes separate copies of Apache, MySQL, and PHP with some admin tools. See https://www.mamp.info/en/
We use MAMP to test WordPress websites on a Mac.
PS. You could run a virtualised copy of OS X, via VMware Fusion, or Parallels.
PPS. You can run Apple's Server.app on a MacBook or any model Mac, it does not have to be a desktop Mac.

Can't connet to ftp server.

I'm sure this question is already asked. But I can't go through hundreds of posts to find an answer so I hope someone here is willing to help me out.
The problem is; when I switched to CS6 my dreamweaver refused to connect to my server. I didn't change anything from the previius version, it's all the same.
But here is an image of the error I constantly get when I try to connect to my ftp server.
Still I used the same settings as before.
So what to do guys?

IWeb can't communicate with FTP Server.

I am trying to update my IWeb and I get a Publish Error that says "There wa an error communicating with the FTP server.   Try again later, or check with your service provider.
I've tried again and I've checked my service provider who says everything is working on their end.
I have an IMac with Maverick.

Update:   the issue is not a connection with FTP server.......it has to be something in IWeb.
I have a website that I add photos to.    I Have always added them from Aperture on the right hand side of IWeb.   Now, when I add the photo to my page, it moves the other photos around as it has always done.    I try publishing and I get the error message.    When go go to the actual website I can see a blank space where the photo should have been published.
So it's sort of updating - but instead of the picture it shows a blank.
