Can the "join points" function default be set to "smooth"?

I have hundreds of "join points" (command-J) operations to do and they all need to be set to "smooth" - which means that my workflow speed is seriously slowed by having to click on the radio button next to "smooth" because the default is "corner". Is there any way to set the default to "smooth" so I won't have to click this button?

Bill,
The JET_JoinNearest script by James, should do it if the end Anchor Points have handles.
He has made it available here: http://www.illustrationetc.com/AI_Javascripts/PathScripts.htm

  • Can the interface menus and icons be set a little larger in 64bit Photoshop version CS6 ????

    Can the interface menus and icons be set a little larger in 64bit Photoshop version CS6 ????
    It would be very helpful if the tools and font size choices were enhanced to Larger, Largest or custom enhance. Anyone know if that is an idea we can send to Adobe?

    I wonder about folk who use small screen laptops with a high pixel density. I'd guess that there are 1920x1200 laptops with 17 or possibly even 15 inch screens, and Photoshop is going to be a nightmare to use on them. Heck, the notebook sized iPad 3 has a >2000 pixel screen! That sort of pixel density is going to work its way through to laptops, before too long. I have read about LED televisions with 4K (equivalent of four 1080 panels) and even 8K (equivalent of 8 1080 panels) screens. Is that going to work its way through to computer monitors? To be fair, we are talking about 60inch screens here, but nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to gamers and their hardware!!!
    I have all but given up using Photoshop on my 19 inch laptop with a 1920x1200 screen because it is not comfortable compared with the 30 inch monitor I use for my main screen at home (also 1920 x 1200). This is a frequently asked question, and Chris has said it would be a major undertaking to upsize the icons, but it surely has to go on the list for the next upgrade.

  • Is there any Java library that can invoke access point functions?

    Hi, Is there a Java Library that enables programs to access access point and run their functions?
    I want to create sample code that invokes functions of access points such as signal strength e.t.c.
    My ambition is to create a model that can identify the position of wareless devices such as PDA in a wireless LAN

    Thanks for your reply, sorry I have not gotten back sooner. I'm still having the problem.
    All the access points have the same SSID. I did try deleting the network and rejoining, however, I don't think it properly "forgot" all the settings when I did that. I haven't yet taken the time to try to delete the network more thoroughly. I'm still turning off airport, carrying the laptop to within a few feet of the access point I want to join, and turning airport back on, on an almost daily basis.

  • Can the time capsule function as a SAN that a pc can attach to

    I am working with a new client who is running both a Mac and a pc and using a Time Capsule for connectivity.  I know the time capsule will back up Mac devices and serve as a 'print server', but can it also function as a SAN type device for file sharing. He is also running Win7 in parallel for an app that required windows.

    TC can function as a file server to windows..
    You need to setup the TC to use SMB compatible names.. ie short, no spaces. pure alphanumeric. If you use wireless then both the TC name and the wireless name must comply.
    Also ensure you use have bonjour for windows loaded or better still the airport utility for windows.
    Set the file sharing section to correct workgroup can sometimes help.
    Also ensure you have correct access credientials.. or at least turn on read and write access.
    Remember .. there is no backup of files stored on the TC.. it is a backup device itself with no automated backup. There is a very slow manual full disk archive. That is all.

  • Can the people recognition function in PSE 9 be configured to look for a specific person?

    HI All:
    I have over 100k photos in my library.  I'd like to have PSE 9 search through these images and identify only my family members.  For instance, I would like PSE 9 to serach for images of only my daughter and provide a tag for each image that contains her picture.  With this many photos it just takes too long to use the people recognition function because I must go through every person (face) that it identifies rather than just my daughter's.  So, is there a way in PSE 9 to restrict the photo recognition feature to search for only one person/face?
    Thanks, Jeff

    I have the same need. We have numerous app vendors that change their certificate that I need to deploy to 2500 PC's. We were using the registry via MS JVM to import these certificates. That is no longer an option with 2003 Server and Vista not supporting MS JVM. I have tried the Keytool as a login script process but it keeps asking for a password. Doubt we would ever be able to locate anyone who would know what it was. So far I have found the system deployment setup but am having problems actually getting it to work. Here is what I have so far for the deployment.config:
    deployment.system.config=file\:/M\:/Winstall/Utils/Javacert/deployment.properties
    deployment.system.config.mandatory=false
    The deployment.properties has:
    deployment.system.security.trusted.certs=file\:/M\:/Winstall/Utils/Javacert/Trusted.certs
    The Trusted.certs file ahs all the certificates we support from a network application point of view. Any help would be appreciated.

  • How can the «Jabber Priority» of iChat be set?

    Jabber lets you login at various places at the same time.
    To make sure you can control which location gets your messages, there is a system of priorities.
    Every Jabber-Client lets you set a priority — the client with the highest priority that is online will then get the message. As soon as this client logs out, the next highest ranked client takes on the duty and so forth.
    By default, iChat sends a priority of zero. This is the lowest «usable» priority for a normal client. Which means, it will be the last client to receive the message and will only be active if there is no client «superior» to iChat active.
    Unfortunately, you can't change this setting in the preferences.
    In the com.apple.iChat.Jabber.plist, you can actually see that there is a key called <priority>0</priority>. Unfortunately this key has no effect on iChat. It is simply ignored.
    Does anyone know how to set the priority for Jabber connections in iChat?
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hi,
    The only way I can see that this could be done is to use Terminal to write to the .plist
    I don't know the exact wording but this link should give you clues
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050610163358263
    This writes to the iChatAgent .plist and reorders the Info from iTunes
    It is older than iChat 4 and 5 and I have not tried it on there as the Apple AppleScript is now included in iChat.
    Here is another on changing the default time until you show as idle
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=200402181751007&query=Defaultswriteichat
    So it will start with ( A first vague stab)
    defaults write com.apple.iChat Then a bit about the Jabber.plist followed by the heading just above the Key you list if there is one that distinguishes from the &lt:Priority> part.

  • Can the time capsule function like an external hard drive?

    Can I place files there I want to archive but don't need access to everyday? I want to consolodate two older external drives that I have to the time capsule.

    You can place files on the Time Capsule drive if you want, but there will be a conflict at some point in time if you are also using the Time Capsule for Time Machine backups.
    Drives do have a way of filling up much faster than you expected.
    If you plan to place "original" or "master" copies of data on the Time Capsule drive, you'll also have to figure out how to back up those files to yet another drive.  Time Machine cannot do this.

  • Can the same partner function be entered in the sales order more than once.

    Hi
    I know that as per standard same partner function cannot be entered more than once in Sales order.
    If somebody has tried ways to do this please share.
    THanks
    Alags

    Yes. You can have multiple Ship to Party, Bill to Parrty & Payer in Sales Order. But Sold to Party will have to Unique & single.
    This functionality of having multilpe Partners is widely used & just follow as Deepak suggested above & you too can have multiple Partners of same type in single Sales Order.
    But there has to be a strong Business case in doing so... say different Ship tp Party for different line items in Sales Order or different BIll to Party for some line Items in Sales Order.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Can't figure out how to solve the decimal point bug in this calculator code

    Hi guys, I'm new in flash and is currently learning how to build a simple calculator with multipliers (plus,minus,multiple,divide,decimal point and change sign) but I'm stuck on the decimal point and change sign.
    var multiplier_old:Number = 10;
    var multiplier_new:Number = 1;
    // .: Sets the multipliers so that new input numbers become decimals of a lower unit column
    action_point.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, function():void {
              multiplier_old = 1;
              multiplier_new = 0.1;
              point = true;
    // Takes intput from the input_ buttons and adds it to the input after applying the multipliers.
    // If `point` is true then the multiplier_new is divided by 10, also as described.
    function inputNumber(n:Number):void {
              input = input * multiplier_old + n * multiplier_new;
                        if (point) {
                                        multiplier_new *= 0.1;
                       trace(multiplier_new);
              output_txt.text = input.toString();
    Decimal point
    The problem is that when I input 2.7 in the calculator, it will display the values in output_txt correctly. But then when I input 2.78, it will display 2.780000000000000000000000002. This will also happen to other numbers if the input is too big.
    What I want is just 2.78. How do I change the codings to make 2.780000000000000000000000002 become 2.78?
    Change sign
    Any tips on how to start on this one?
    Thanks for your time,
    Zainu

    I think you misunderstand what I mean. The weird decimal doesnt comes out after I press the 'equals' sign. It comes out when im just pressing on the caculator number buttons
    First I click the no.2 button and then the decimal point button.
    So the caculation output display will show
    2.
    after that I press the no.7 button
    2.7
    and then no.8 button. It appears like
    2.7800000000000000002
    This is the code I use when the user press the decimal point button.
    // .: Sets the multipliers so that new input numbers become decimals of a lower unit column
    action_point.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, function():void {
              multiplier_old = 1;
              multiplier_new = 0.1;
              point = true;
    // Takes intput from the input_ buttons and adds it to the input after applying the multipliers in the method described above.
    // If `point` is true then the multiplier_new is divided by 10, also as described.
    function inputNumber(n:Number):void {
              input = input * multiplier_old + n * multiplier_new;
                        if (point) {
                                 trace(multiplier_new.toFixed(3));
                                  multiplier_new *= 0.1;
                                  //trace(multiplier_new);
              output_txt.text = input.toString();
    I think there is some code wrong in this function that makes this weird problem. I tried putting toFixed method but it's still not working.
    Sorry for this long reply but I have to try my bestto explain with my bad english.

  • How can I ensure that Printing Defaults are reset on the clients?

    Hi,
    we have a setup with a Windows Server 2008 print cluster and a mix of Windows XP and Windows 7 clients. On all clients the users are local admins.
    When the install a new print queue the Printing Preferences at the client is set to the "correct" values, meaning the values that we have set on the server. But if they change the settings (e.g. from Black/White to Colour) the setting is kept even after
    the application is closed.
    Either things have changed over time or the issue is caused by letting the users be local admins, but I beleive that the settings where previously set back to defaults once the application, from where the settings where changed, was closed.
    Can someone please tell me how to ensure that users do get the servers Printing Default forced on to them and that settings changed within an application is lost when closing the application?
    Thanks for your help - it is much appreciated!
    Best regards
    David

    I see it's a quite old post but still without an answer.
    What follows it's not exactly what David asked for (application-aware reset of printing defaults).
    I ended up here searching for a way to refresh printing defaults on clients without having users to remove/add printers manually. I hope this helps someone.
    A viable solution might be to create a login vbs script deleting -> adding all network printers currently installed on the user profile. Default printer setting is not affected.
    Tested on Windows 7 x64 clients and 2008 R2 print server.
    strComputer = "."
    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
    Set colPrinters = objWMIService.ExecQuery("Select * From Win32_Printer")
    For Each objPrinter in colPrinters
    If InStr(objPrinter.DeviceID, "\\") = 1 Then
    UNCPrinter = objPrinter.DeviceID
    objPrinter.Delete_
    Set WshNetwork = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Network")
    WshNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection UNCPrinter
    End If
    Next

  • Join numeric with join numbers function

    Hi !  a small question from a guy that didnt use labview for a while !
    i need to use the join number function to join two DBL number A and B to form a new number A.B, just like the join numbers function
    in the example i would like the results after the join number function to be 1.5
    however i understand that the function merge bytes/words together and the result is far from what i expect ....  any ways to
    A and B are extracted from modbus READ register command and are unsigned 16 bit
    seems easy enough but i need a good refreshment on how those bits, bytes and numeric works together..   doh !
    thank for everyone involved, Kudos to all labview champions!
    Solved!

    Hi yan,
    it seems you really need a refreshment on all those bits/bytes/numeric representations
    Typecasting floats (DBL) to U16 will probably never result in the desired value.
    Why do you convert your U16 modbus values to DBL anyway? Stick with U16 and you will have no problems using JOIN or any other bit-banging function...
