As that software update hasn't even been officially announced yet it's impossible to say with any certainty. It is expected it will be compatible with all current WP8 devices but only Microsoft can say that for sure.
You will need to contact Nokia India directly or retailers in India to find out when they expect to be selling it.

It seems Lumia 620 doesn't benefit the "double tap to wake", other than that all announced apps and features will be available. I advise to check also some great beta apps from Nokia Beta Labs, kudos to the guys developing these.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone on here knew how long it should take between the update geting to the carrier and them pasiing on the update to the consumers?
I ask because mysef and others are STILL without the Update 3/Black update for the 620 ( in the UK), and are increasingly becoming annoyed (putting it lightly - don't want to get banned from the forum already) at this fact, especially since we know it is the carriers fault (I won't name and shame the carrier since it's in the link!)

The link above shows the interactions that have been made between those of us waiting for the update, and those at my carrier. In short, on the 2nd April, the foum dudes passed it on to those who deal with the updates. 8 days later (10th April, 3 weeks ago), the next reply was that they were in the latter stages of testing, and should be out "within the next few weeks". There have been NO updates since, hint the fact we are getting increasingly annoyed.
Surely, the fact they claim they were in the latter stages of testing 3 weeks ago mean we should have the update by now, especially since all other 620's in the UK had the update in March.

Lumia 620 Black Update, availability in Africa!

I have the Lumia 620. I have been waiting for the Black update since the rollout started. I have the phone that is the only one amongst all the other phones, based on the network provider I am using, that is still waiting for availability. My phone has been acting up, I am beginning to see problems arise. I mentioned this to one of Nokia's employees and I was told it could be due to I do not have the update. Therefore problem can't be within my fault per se. This is just one of many emails. Any communication would be appreciated.

The following may or may not apply to Lion:
Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Later versions of OS X.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

iTunes does not have provision for automatically storing one kind of media on a separate drive, so you have some basic decisions to make first. Do you want these movies to still appear in your iTunes library, or are you content with browsing filenames on a drive in Finder when you want to look for one? The second's the easiest thing because then you don't have to have an external drive permanently turned on and attached to your computer (wired or wireless). To do that you literelly only need to drag your movies folder to an archive drive and delete movies from iTunes. To watch them again you can add it back to iTunes while holding down the option key so the movie is used from its location on the external drive.
There's ways to move the movies to an external drive while keeping them in iTunes but the external drive iwll always have to be turned on and connected to the computer or you will see a bunch of broken link exclamation marks.
Realize what you are talking about is not "backup". Backup (which you should do) is putting a second or more copy of items on external drives for the day when your internal drive fails and everything on it is lost, inclduing all your home photos and perhaps things that have been pulled from the iTunes Store and can no longer be re-downloaded.

I am concerned about installing the +10.5.8 Update Mac OS X Leopard+ from +10.5.7 (Power PC G5)+. It does not say anything about users who aren't on the intel chip systems so I'm worried if I really need to upgrade, any advice?
This also comes to mind when doing any kind of *new update* when SOFTWARE UPDATE manually shoots down and informs me it's time to install some new software updates. I will eventually buy a Mac Book Pro and use my Power PC for home internet use but is there cause for concern to keep updating software because it assumes everyone is already upgraded to intel mac systems??? I updated my G5 iMac the other day with no problems. I did however
make a backup using CarbonCopyCloner before updating.
I also updated my Intel MacBook with no problems (again taking a
backup prior to the update).
I also did a Repair permissions using Disk Utility before each update.
Some people suggest using the Combo update but I have always used
the delta update via Software Update and have not encountered any
issues.

Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as Microsoft Office 2004. If your computer's incompatible with 10.7, you can't update iMovie any further.

Microsoft has stated that all current WP8 hardware will be able to update to the next major OS version. This will mean that, with Microsoft usually updating Windows Phone around November (they have for 7.5 and 8) you'll be good until at least around May 2015 by which time most people will have upgraded their current phone anyway.
The updates mentioned in the previous post are Nokia Firmware only and are installed on new phones shipping now. The update will be available as an OTA update to existing phones at a yet undisclosed moment.

Issue with Lumia 620 Black update

Hi everyone. Recently I've updated my L620 to Black and the ROM is EU-Spain. When I turn the " Double tap" on for unlocking the screen and put my phone into any of my pockets, the phone strongly hangs and there will be no way to unlock the screen except replacing battery. I think this is a bug and my phone can not recognize the hits in my pockets as temporary hits. I don't want to disable " double tap" but by this problem I cant work with my phone safety.help pls. thanks

Just to clarify, did the issue happen immediately after the Lumia Black update? If yes, try to verify if the update is successfully installed on your phone. Check if 'Lumia Black' shows up under Settings > Extras + Info. Try also to check if all system apps are updated by scanning the QR app codes shown at this link, especially the one for 'Touch': Nokia Windows Phone 8 App updates After that, check if the phone's 'Double tap to wake' feature and the overall performance of the touch screen will improve.
