I am a university engineer student, bought a windows laptop, a new ipad and an air 13 inch.
Currently run into financial problem, and thinking about selling my air.
I mainly use air when i am in class, read notes, sometimes browse the web when I get bored, and writing codes
Just wondering is air replaceble by ipad, havn't used my ipad much,

Only you can decide whether or not the iPad can replace the Air; it's not something we can tell you since we can't know what needs and preferences you have. Since you have both, you should be able to spend more time with the iPad and determine for yourself whether or not it would be an acceptable substitute for the Air.

Should I change router settings to G only,switch channel from auto to maybe 6,channel width to 20mhz? Already changed security settings to WPA2. Currently router is running in mixed b and g mode.

If you have one computer running on G they will all run on G. All ROUTERS are backward compatible, in otherwords if you have a group of computers and all of them are N compatible and one or two are G They will all work but the N computers will run at N and those that are G will run at G speed not N.
It can get confusing but really it is simple. The newest is 802.11 AC and ic used with the newest Mac Computers made available in November 2013. So if you have the newest Airport Extreme that is 802.11ac and the newest computers that are AC compliant your speed will be 5 times faster than anything on the market right now.

I find it silly that Apple wont let the camera app on the new ipad air take panorama pictures when 3rd party app do. Apple why make something as wonderfull as the new ipad air, then cripple it with a sub standerd camera app.
My iPhone 4 that is over 3 years old has the same camera app.

Yesterday is the first time my finger got so painful I could no longer work on my project. I iced it to help numb the numbness, usally the pain subsides when I stay off my laptop for hours however when I start working on it the pain returns and you need your index and middle finger to work that laptop. This is the first time the pain had not gone away, 24 hours later. It feeIs like the tip of my middle finger has a giant splinter in it, very sore! I bought the first edition Macbook Air laptop 4 years ago and never had this problem with my index and middle finger, until I started working on my new Air.
Look at how many people are having the same problem. It can not be a coencidence. This problem has cost me the use of my finger and the high expense for this new MacBook Air. I'm going to my apple store tomorrow and show them how many people have this problem with numbness. I think this problem goes way beyond giving me a refund for this computer.
Any thoughts after reading other people having the same painful experience?
So What is Apple going to do with the new MacBook Air trackpad that creates numbness in your fingers?
PS: I know the trackpad is made of glass, so I covered my trackpad with a clear cover they sell to put on iphones however that did not slove anything.

Can the SuperDrive open a MacBook Air?

I used to press the C key to run DiskWarrior from a DVD. That doesn't seem to work when using a MacBook Air Superdrive. Does anyone know how you can open a CD like DiskWarrior?

You may need an updated DVD for Disk Warrior to be able to boot your Air.

TS4552 Skype doesn't recognise video on the new mid-2013 macbook air. Does anyone have a solution yet?

So Apple have known about this since June and they still haven't done anything about it! Has anyone found a solution yet?
Skype will not recognise my video at all. There's no way I would have bought the computer if Apple had told me this was an issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

I just got myself the new 13 inch Mac Air. When I scrol up or down on an Internet page, like a news article, I see rowing, ripple distortions in the document, which causes headaches for me. Is this a common problem? Can I do anything to eliminate this?

It's just you. Remember, there are lots of people who purchase the MacBook Air that are using it without issue. These forums are like a hospital emergency room - the people you see here are the ones that need help. The rest are all out there enjoying their MBAs. It is entirely possible, as many have known from day one (as ifixit's first teardown revealed). Unlike the unupgradeable memory, the SSD is a discrete expansion card that is removeable with just one screw, after removing the case cover. It is however debateable as to whether such an expansion is worth the possible risk of making demonstrable changes to the MBA whilst still under warranty. So you may want to stave off consideration for a while.
I made the upgrade recently on my older 2010 MBA, and it was easier than upgrading the HDD on my old MacBook Pro.
