The photo print quality from my Mac to my Epson Artisan 810 is poor. I just purchased my iMac for my photography business in Jan. (this is my first Mac). When I first tried printing, I noticed the quality wasn't as good as I expected it to be. Then, I had to print 4-3.5x5s on a sheet, so I e-mailed the image to myself and opened it on my PC to print it (much easier to print that way on PC in Windows Photo Gallery - I think it's impossible to print that way in iPhoto). That's when I first noticed that when I take the same photo files (JPEGs) to my PC to print to the same printer without even uploading them to the PC, they print brighter and crisper from my PC.
I've already been on the phone and e-mail w/Applecare many times over this issue. We've tried creating a test user and printing from there, and we've tried reinstalling the OS. I've tried printing from iPhoto, ImageCapture, and Preview apps/utilities, all w/the same result - no comparison to the PC-printed versions (no enhancements have been performed on the PC).
I'm out of ideas, and so is Applecare. They say it's most likely a driver issue b/c the printer is outdated, and that the only solution is to buy a new printer. BUT it is a pain for me to purchase a new printer - it takes days of research due to the nature of my business and the fact that I need a printer that can print directly onto a disc. I love this printer and don't want to have to buy a new one if I don't have to.englishfreak2004 wrote:

We are a family of 4, each with their own apple device. Is it best for us to set up individual apple ID's for things like ITunes? If we do can the same e-mail address be used for all of them or do we need to create e-mails for the kids?

You can always shut it down manually via the Task Manager

SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.
"Dumb" phones or phones not in the smart category that don't have internet access in any shape, form, or fashion can exchange SMS/MMS.
Since SMS/MMS (a poor man's email with cell phones since it is very limited) is a cash cow for carriers and very profitable, why wouldn't cell phone carriers be interested in including SMS/MMS as an additional option (and of course at an additional expense) with a data plan only for the iPad? They certainly are interested in it but they can't since SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.

No, sorry. it won't work with the 2007 MBP. You can replace the optical drive yourself - just go shopping at OWC.

I have a one broadcast domain using, for example the 192.168.0.0/20 network. If a VLAN design is implemented, can the same IP scheme 192.168.0.0/20 be used or would it be something like 192.168.0.0/24 for the servers, 192.168.1.0/24 for the users, etc....?
Also, what determines the use of VLANS? For example, I've read that if the broadcast traffic is 20% or more then a VLAN design should be implemented. Or is it best practice to implement VLANS regardless of broadcast traffic?

Usually the best practice is to use vlans and keep the broadcast domain small. A common practice is to use a /24 subnet per vlan.
192.168.0.0/24 vlan 10
192.168.1.0/24 vlan 11
192.168.2.0/24 vlan 12
and so on.

What verson of iPhoto did your MacBook Pro come with? If it was iPnoto 8 (09) or earlier you will have to purchase iPhoto 9 (11) from the App Store. If your MBP came with iPhoto 9 preinstalled you should be able to update to 9.4.1 without charge.
However, as Niel pinted out the iPad iPhoto is a different animal (pun intended) entirely and will have to be purchased.

Not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the "Download Response as PDF" feature (to see the PDF filled out with the filler's data) or the "Download Submission Enabled PDF" (to sent to people to fill out)?
If you imported a PDF in FormsCentral, the Submission Enabled PDF will look exactly the same as the imported PDF plus a submit button
If you designed the form in FormsCentral and save the Submission Enabled PDF it will look very similar to the web form (switch the view in the Design Tab to Page View to see what the PDF will look like)
The PDF doesn't use skip logic or show/hide logic so this mean that the PDF always shows all the form elements

No, the bluetooth profile in the iPad does not provide that
capacity. Can your netbook be a wifi transmitter? If yes,
you can connect to the internet via htc-phone and pass

On a somewhat different topic. When I named my iPod, I called it, "if found please call (xxx)xxx-xxxx. That way, you do increase the odds of finding should it fall into the hands of an honest person, and if not, the person who found it will always know that he/she could have gotten it back to it's owner every time they use it.
