Hello, I've got a question about my Iphone 3gs. Well one day i woke up and i tried to slide to unlock my phone but the touch was unresponsive. So, i turned off my phone and back on, the unlock screen came back one and same problem happened. The only time the touch works is when I slide to turn off my phone. When people call me, i can't answer. When people text me, I can't answer. I do have the latest update for the phone. I've looked everywhere on the internet and have got no answers. I have dropped my phone a couple of times and it does have some cracks on the screen. Please help!

Can the Touch Screen on iPhone be Disabled while Playing Video?
My 16-month old son loves watching Sesame Street on my iPhone 3GS while we travel. Problem is, he keeps touching the screen and inadvertently stopping the video or exiting from the iPod application.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up. You can't use the FIndMyiPhone app on the iPod since the app requires iOS 7
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

epatsioIf your iPhone has been jailbroken there is nothing that can be done to help you...the Terms of Use of these discussions prohibit giving any assistance with hacked or jailbroken equipment. Apple will do nothing to help with the iPhone.

Thanks!Nope. Tethering isn't an option until iPhone 4. My wife has the 3GS and not an option. Sorry. you need to update your phone, but wait a few months for the iPhone 5 or discounted iPhone 4S.

Your security software (Antivirus, firewall, router settings) is blocking access to gs.apple.com, Apple's activation servers. Try temporarily disabling your security applications on your computer.
You have a redirect in your hosts file that defines a different IP address for gs.apple.com. you must delete all references to gs.apple.com from your hosts file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts, or /etc/hosts on a Mac)
Your phone is jailbroken or otherwise hacked.
