Can theme template pages be expanded horizontally?

Can iWeb '08 theme page templates be expanded laterally? I know the page templates can expand downward but am wondering if they can be made wider?

Okay, for an example of what I am writing about:
In iWeb '08,
Choose New Page:
Choose Layered Paper as a Theme> choose Welcome Page.
In the Inspector>Page>Layout
Type in 800 px in the Content Width
On my screen the content area expands horizontally but is broken and separates from the central light yellowish block that has rounded corners.
Does anyone know if it is possible to expand the width of the central light yellow block?

Table expanding horizontally causes new blank page

I have a report like that in the following picture:
The tablix expands horizontally at runtime due to a couple of columns groupings. What I marked as "Extra blank space" must
be there, because otherwise the TextBox in the title where "Expr" appears will appear wrapped at runtime.
At runtime the tablix expands correctly and I sized the columns so that it will draw itself on just one complete page.
The issue is that I get additionally a second page, which is completely blank: I think this is due to the "Extra blank space", which, as explained, I cannot get rid of.
Maybe SSRS is not so clever as to remove this useless Extra blank space and fill it with the expanded tables.
Any suggestion is welcome. Regards

Hi pg,
I can reproduce this issue when the textbox in the title is wider than the total length of the text and the page width. In this way, the second page is completely blank.
To fix this issue, we can narrow down both the title textbox and the report body width to fit the page width. Because when the total length of the title text is narrower than the page width, the extra space in the title textbox is not necessary. When the
total length of the text is wider than the page width, the extra text that exceed the page width would be wrapped, and displayed on the second page. So the "Extra blank space" is not necessary.

Can't modify "My Photos" template page

There has to be a simple solution to this: the white "My Photos" template page has 3 pictures across in a row. I can't edit them at all, i.e. can't replace the template's images with my own. If you click on one of the 3 default images, all 3 are selected (indicated by a blue frame) but that's it. Can't change a thing. How do I get rid of them so i can place my own?

You get rid of them by dragging other photos onto
them. They are merely place holders to show you
where the photos go. If you have used iPhoto to
arrange the photos you want to use into an album, you
can just drag the album to them. You should see a
blue line that encompasses all the photos show up.
When you do, let go of the album or the photos.
If you use iPhoto, an easy way to do this is to use
the Media Browser (there's a button for it at the
bottom of the iWeb window) to locate the pictures you
want to use.
I did that and if the picture you want to replace the placeholder picture with is smaller, you can still see the dummy photo under it. How do you eliminate that? Also, when I drag a bunch of photos to the page, when I publish the page and click on the start slideshow button, the only images that play are the dummy images. What's with that?

If you're using a version of Pages prior to 5.0, it can import AppleWorks 6 word processing documents directly. Otherwise, reopen them in AppleWorks and export them in a format that Pages can read; for Pages 5.0, those are listed here.

I did the ios 5 update for iphone 4 and can no longer see the pics i take in the camera app or camera roll. nothing will let me see them the page just goes to no photos or videos. if anyone knows a solution or a fix it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Try a reset of the device by pressing and holding the home and power button for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

It is not Pages '09 that is broken.
I am back in Mavericks and testing Pages 5.2.
There are improvements, we shall see how useful, but in less than a minute I have already discovered bugs.

Can a template created in Pages be used in Word?

I need to create a document template that will be used in Microsoft Word. Can I create it in Pages?

Word can't open .pages files, or Pages template files. You would have to Export your Pages document to Word format and then see how it looks when opened in Word. If you are happy with the result you can save the document as a template in Word. Not all Pages features will survive the export.

How can i add a template page on my document ? Pages 5.0

Hi to everyone.
I have a problem after i updated Pages to the new one (5.0 (1465)). I'm not able to add a template page (for exemple chapter page or photo page or so on), while i'm writing my document. How can i do it ?
(For example with Keynote i have only to click on "+" in the left bottom corner, and i can choose wich slide i want).
Can someone help me please ? I need that for my thesis.

Here is soem of the text you get from the search add custom template.
Save a document as a template
Choose File > Save as Template (the File menu is at the top of your computer screen).
Click one of the options:
Add to Template Chooser: Type a name for the template, then press Return. Your template appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser.
Save As: Type a name for the template, then choose where you want to save it.

I can't modify the title in my template pages?

I'm developing a site from a template and have most of the site built. I did have some issues with the template and errors earlier on in the process when I was working when I should have been sleeping, I think I erased the 'doctile' in the head of the template. The template still updates the child pages, but now I've discovered I can't change the title on the template pages and I think I've made a real mess out of the template. Can you pleae have a look and possible let me know where I go from here to resolve this issue.

Copy and Paste this code into a new, blank, HTML document. Save As a new template in your Templates folder. Test it first. If it works as it should, save it over your old design_template.dwt.

they are wpd files from around 2001-2003 that my Dad emailed me and on a PC was easy to simply relabel as .doc but despite this I cannot open in pages or convert to pages.
Please can you help me?

In fairness to Pages, only apps that can handle Word Perfect docs of that vintage can open them, either. W
As Viking said, changing the extension does nothing to the file structure & metadata of the document. At one time Mac people didn't bother with the extensions, because they were simply a visible indicator of the app that made them, and the Mac would get that information from the file itself.
Since you changed the extensions, some Windows apps may still use those extensions to tell them the file source. When they try to open a .wpd file as if it were a .doc file, they will get very confused.
You can try to open the files by using the Menu> Open command, with the setting of "all files." IF and only if the app can handle .wpd files, then maybe it will open it & ignore the extension.
