You'd have to cross reference the frequency bands with the carriers you mentioned. You can also contact them directly to verify if this phone works with their network.

Hello. I am from the United States, and have Sprint as my carrier. I am currently living in Singapore for the next few months though. I have been looking at the Palm Pre, and really want to get one. Is there any way I can purchase one here, use it in Singapore, and then be able to use it with Sprint when I get home? I mean of course without purchasing a Sprint plan and then having to pay over a dollar a minutes for calls. Thanks!

Yes but I have brought the A1429 where as the information you provided states that it's the A1428.

Remember though, that although you have warranty on this phone, it is only valid in India and NOT Canada, because you purchased the phone in India and iPhone warranty is country specific, so if you have problems with the phone, then you'll need to take it back to India to get it fixed.
If you will be in Canada for any length of time, then buy a new phone in Canada. It will be guaranteed to work then and you will also have warranty cover.

Most CDMA phones will only work on the network they are branded to. The carriers usually do not allow other brands of phones on their cdma networks.

Call AppleCare and tell them you just want to know if your iPhone is unlocked and if not, who is it locked with. If it is locked contact the cell provider and ask them what their unlock process is and complete it if you qualify.

Assuming I have a flat network, a computer with 2 NICs and are connected to 2 different routers. I configure the routers to run HSRP between them. But the routers do not have any layer 2 or layer 3 interconnects between each other.
Can HSRP work this way?

Leo is correct in that HSRP won't actually be working do to the fact that it can't exchange hellos. Both routers will think that they are the primary.
If your looking at trying to get a redundant setup here is how you would have to set your equipment up. Router A would be connected to switch A which would be connected to switch B which would be connected to RTR B. Your computer with the two nics would then have one connected to switch A and one connected to Switch B

It isn't. There's a Java update for Mac OS X 10.6.8 that does the same things.

My 3g 16mb damaged by water now works except connecting to internet. Have no account for it after moving to my 3GS. Can this phone be used again?

I want to sell the phone since every test done shows it to be working after two years of drying out.The only service not working is connecting to the Internet. That i believe is caused by transferring AT&T account to new iPhone. Is there any test of older iPhone to see if it can connect to the Internet?

Amazing to see that the iPhone with the SIM card from my new iPhone worked good. The only problem I had was with AT&T. Somehow they got the idea I had set up a new account and starting charging me for that instead of continuing with my old one. After talking to them, that problem was taken care of.
Another five months passed and I tried to power on the old phone without the SIM card, which I had done successfully before. This time the battery was down to zero and will not take a charge.
Is this the final resting place for the dunked iPhone or is there a way to recharge the battery?

The Sim may have moved slightly and lost contact.
Try in this order:
1. Turn on Airplane mode for about 1 or 2 minutes, then turn it off.
     if that Deos not work,
2. Reset: Hold down the Home and power buttons until the Apple logo shows up. Let the Phone reboot.
     if that does not work:
3. Open the Sim tray with the provided sim tool or a paper clip, and reseat the sim card.
      if that does not work:
4. Try a different sim card from your carrier if you have one available you can borrow.
      if that does not work:
5. Contact your carrier, the sim may have developed a fault.

Unfortunatley it will not work anywhere outside of AT&T and its roaming partners. You must have an account with AT&T and the corresponding multiyear contract. The problem is that in the US and Canada and many other countries (though not all) the network providers are really in the business of selling phones. They get exclusive distribution contracts with the phone suppliers then they modify (break) the phone so that it will only work on thier network. On top of this they will only offer locked in multiyear contracts to get access. So althought some governements are forcing cell phone companies to faciliate number transfer if you switch, they have done nothing about the restrcitive network access policies which are a much bigger problem.
Imagine if your ISP forced you to buy a computer from them, made you sign up to a multiyear contract, then disabled the computer from working with any other ISP. That is essentially what they are doing.
OK in some cases the multiyear contracts do cross subsidise the phone cost, but at $600 I don't see allot of subsidisation going on here. What I see is colusion and predatory behavior.
I'm disgusted that apple is helping to perpetuate this model. I should be able to buy whatever phone I want, from wherever I want and connect to whatever compatible network I want.
