Can TM2-2050us get graphics upgrade

I was wondering if the Hp Touchsmart Tm2-2050us can get a graphics updrade, and if so would I have to send it back to HP to get it done or take it to a third party vendor.  There are versions of the Tm2 that have dedicated graphics in them, I was aware of this when I purchased mine.
Current Build:
Hp Tm2-2050us
Windows 7 64 bit
4.00 GB of RAM
Intel Core i3 U330 @ 1.20ghz

Hi:
Yes you could but IMO, you would be better off selling yours and getting one with the graphics solution you want.
That is because you would need to have the entire motherboard replaced and then all of the components currently in your PC attached to your current motherboard would have to be removed and installed on the new one (processor, heat sink, wireless card, etc).
Below is the link to the service manual.
You would probably need to replace the current motherboard with this one  Equipped with discrete graphics subsystem and Intel Core i3-330UM 1.20-GHz processor (800-MHz FSB, 3-MB L2 cache, 18-W) Part # 611489-001.
See the service manual, link below, Chapter 3, page 17 for the list of motherboards.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02613455.pdf
$786 for the above motherboard, and it has to come with the processor.  You may be able to get some credit for yours, but I can't say for sure.
You would have to call HP technical support to see if they will replace the board and how much it will cost.
Again, I would think the cost to do this would be more than buying a new one with the graphics you want.

  • I have elements 11 and skipped the upgrade to 12.  Can I still get the upgrade to 13?

I currently have Elements 11, but I skipped the upgrade to 12.  Now I want to get 13.  Do I still pay for an upgrade, or do I need to buy the full version?

If you update to the latest lightroom 5.2, that should open the Sony RX100-II files.
Unfortunatly pse11 can only use up to camera raw 7.4 and your files require camera raw 8.2
Photoshop elements 12 is able to update to camera raw 8.2 though.

  • Can I do a graphics upgrade?

I'm getting a MacBook soon and will not be satisfied with the integrated graphics. Is there enough room in that tiny shell to fit a good mobile graphics card that uses PCI-express?

You would be happier with a MacBook Pro if you don't like the Integrated graphics. It is not upgradeable.

See this thread about disable specific software update in Mountain Lion.
There is some confusion about how to apply the method in the replies to that topic. A somewhat easier to understand explanation is at http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/hide-a-software-update-in-os-x-mountain-l ion, among other places on the web.
Note that you may need to click on the "more" item to see individual system software updates.
That said, the others are right: the RAW format updates are tiny & it is hardly worth the effort to hide them or to worry about the disk space they use.

  • I keep getting an upgrade to firefox 5 beta. It needs me to turn off my security which I won't. Is there a upgrade to firefox 5 beta? How can I get rid of it? It looks fake!!!

Every time I log on, it comes up saying an upgrade is available. I click on it and it tells me to turn off my McAfee. I will not turn it off. There is a half of the firefox logo on the screen. I suspect this is a fake website and encouraging me to think that it is a legal website so I can download the upgrade. I won't do it. I visit your sites and it doesn't show as an upgrade to 5 beta. Can you please get back to me on this as soon as possible? Thank you very much.

It is possible that you are still on the beta update channel if you ever installed a Firefox 4 beta version or a release candidate.<br />
You can check that by looking at the pref <b>app.update.channel</b> on the about:config page.<br />
If the value of that pref is beta then it is better to download and install the latest Firefox 4.0.x release.

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account.  Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices.  You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
Its wrong to assume that everyone has a backup copy.
    are you PC or Mac?

  • Why can't I get an external HDMI display after upgrading to Maverick?

I've been hunting all over for an answer to this problem.  I upgraded to Maverick in the fall and recently discovered that I can no longer get a picture on an external TV via Thuderbolt + HDMI.  I've used new connectors and cords.  Apparently others are having similar issues after upgrading.
I've tried the SMC reset option, but it has not rectified anything.  I've unchecked the "display as separate spaces" option.  Nothing seems to work and I've searched all over the support community for the answer, which can be extremely daunting.

You said you have a workstation with 4 drives, not a notebook.
And you have not reformatted in years.
Just clone Mac OS X Lion (and Lion Recovery) to anotehr hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.
    Cloning as a Backup Strategy
Or backup and erase the DRIVE, like WDxxxxx and not your "Macintosh HD" volume and restore.
Reformatting is a good idea when moving to a new OS and lot of changes to partition structure go on each time, sometimes even mid-stream of a version.

Try holding down CTRL as you launch iTunes to see if it will repair the drivers.
    Or try Cerbu's post here.
Or see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, forcing a driver update.
Please let us know which approach works for you...

  • HT1338 I have an HP Printer/scanner, and since upgrading to Mountain Lion I can no longer scan on my HP.  HP tells me that I can get an upgrade app from 'Apple Software Upgrade' .  Does anyone know how to do this?

I have an HP Printer/scanner, and since upgrading to Mountain Lion I can no longer scan on my HP.  HP tells me that I can get an upgrade app from 'Apple Software Upgrade' .  Does anyone know how to do this?

HP couldn't find its own apps with both hands and a flashlight.
As of Lion all scanning functions are incorporated natively in OS X. You can scan three ways:
Use Preview: File > Import from scanner
    Use Image Capture
(Preview and Image Capture are both in your Applications folder.)
System Preferences > Print & Scan. Select your HP and use the Scan tab.
If you have HP's "Image Zone" software installed, you no longer need it and it no longer works anyway.

  • HT3669 With recent upgrade to my Mac I can no longer get supply report on ink status in my printer-light is blinking and unable to tell which cartridge needs replacing?

With the recent upgrade to my computer I can no longer get Supply reports from my printer:  a red light is flashing and I don't know which ink cartridge needs replacing?

I happen to have an Epson printer as well - WorkForce 645 - that does show the supply levels.
Since I have one, I know that Apple recently updated the Epson printer software (less than two weeks ago).  Do you have the latest software?  If not, you can get it through the App Store or here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1398
Try it if you don't currently have it.  If you're not sure, you can download it - it can't hurt.

  • Can't even get a server error message, much less upgrade to iOS5?

About a week after iOS 5 was released in mind-October, my inability to get the upgrade onto my 3GS led me to messaages like "It's a rolling upgrade; Apple's servers are catching up. Try again later." Every time I plugged my iPhone into my PC, iTunes launched, synched and brought up the Store. Nothing on the screen said anything about downloading iOS 5. More Googling yielded messages from people who followed the same procedure, but evidently found a download link or something like that, because they had launched the upgrade procedure but then gotten a server error message. Meanwhile I was still getting nothing. I tried re-installing iTunes. Rebooting my PC. Yet, here it is November and each time I plug my iPhone into the PC, it's the same dead end. iTunes launches, synchs with the phone, and then shows me all the latest groovy hits I can download. Absolutely nothing about the iOS 5 upgrade steps, contrary to Apple's messages saying "Just plug in your iPhone and iTunes will do the rest."  Maybe there's a secret password?

I'll answer my own question for the benefit of anyone with similar symptoms who searches the forum. Today just for grins, instead of letting the step of plugging the iPhone 3GS into the PC launch iTunes, I launched iTunes first then plugged in the phone. THAT succeeded in bringing up a dialog box that got me started on the road to the iOS 5 upgrade. One more thing: One of the steps that no one mentions is that once your iPhone is plugged into the PC and shows up in iTunes, click once on the topmost list of items representing your iPhone. That will take you to your iPhone "home page." There's an update button in the center of the home page screen that you'll use. It's pretty quick; only took about 30 minutes on my basic DSL connection. Have fun!

  • I purchase my iphone 3gs from online deal, can I get the upgraded one

    Hi,
I purchase my iphone 3gs from snapdeal portal, my query is can I get the upgrade of the same to iphone 4?
I am having invoice of purchase iphone 3gs, Please let me know if I can directly go to apple gallery to get the upgraded one?
    Thanks
    Rakesh

He has just given you your answer - 'Snapdeal is not an authorised Apple seller' so no you can't.
Also, how on earth do you expect him to help you get an upgrade?  This is a user forum.
The only way that you can upgrade is through your phone company/carrier and that is if you are elegible and you will have to pay.
If you don't have a contract with carrier and you want an iPhone 5, then you'll have to go out and buy one like everyone else.

  • Macbook pro running 10.4.11 can I get it upgraded?

What do I need to do to get it upgraded?

10.6.8 is really the best you can do on that machine, it's still getting updates for OS X and somethings, but not Safari or Java 6, so you need to turn off Java Preferences and in the browsers and install Firefox as it's still getting updates for 10.6
The reason I say 10.6.8 is the best you can do, is because the later operating systems of 10.7, 10.8 and soon to come 10.9 are more feature rich and hardware demanding, it's very unlikely you will be able to upgrade much beyond 10.7 and tolerate the poor performance, then to only have Apple drop you for support a mere short time later anyway.
Your going to have to install more RAM into the machine, 10.6 needs 3GB+ of RAM to run well. 10.7 and above need 4GB+ to run well, despite the minimal Apple says.
I wouldn't bother spending any more money on that machine, it's so dated and the dust hasn't been cleaned out that it's been suffering many years from overheating damage.
Your just best buying a new machine.
But if you like to tinker then go for it. The 10.6 disks are online at Apple Shove it in and upgrade, hold your breath.
