Can Tuxedo6.5 install on Redhat 6.2 or 7.0 or 7.1?

I tried to install tuxedo 6.5(client) on the redhat 7.1 many times on diffirent
machine, but it return the same error as follow:
Using /usr/tuxedo as the TUXEDO base directory
\nUnloading /mnt/cdrom/linux/sw234/tuxcore/WS.Z ...
cpio: premature end of file
.. finished

Well, if you see the platforms of the Tuxedo, you con see only the Tuxedo 71 for
RedHat61
and the Tuxedo80 for RedHat62. But I saw in some solutions case the installation
the use
of the Tuxedo65 with RedHat, but using some patches for RedHat for some C libraries.
I'm trying to install the Tuxedo80 in a RedHat62 now, but I have some problems
because when I start my services i can't see them in the tmadmin utility and I
receive
lines of my UBB file instead.
I hope help.

  • Can you install Oracle 10g on REDHAT LINUX ENTERPRISE WS?

According to oracle documentation, it says you can install oracle10g on Redhat enterprise version 3 or 4, but it doesn't specify whether its Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS or WS. Can you install oracle 10g on Rehat Linux Enterprise WS?

Oracle Certificaction Matrices says only RedHat AS/ES is supported for database. AFAIK WS means workstation.
Also this link is very clear: http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_61_1135.shtm
Besides the above sentences... If the WS installation is providing all required packages (listed in installtion prerequisites) I belive that Oracle DB could be installed on WS but as I (and the above link) said it is not officialy supported.

    Thank you for your help,

I am sure, this is possible.
I wouldn't advice you to waist resources with 32-bit software on your 64-bit OS, but if you want to, you can.

    Hi there!
The first thing you should do if you get ANY (almost) error when
installing Oracle Server in RedHat Linux v6,0 is to read this
    document carefully: http://jordan.fortwayne.com/oracle/
After hours of struggle it finally worked for me :-)))))
Only two things to add here:
    1) If you want to be able to connect to the Linux server
(telnet) and running utilities like sqlplus locally on the
server, you should copy the ".profile" file to the users home
directory, add the user to the group "dba" AND make sure that
the $ORACLE_HOME directory has execute permissions for members
of the "dba" group (mine had default ONLY permission for the
    owner to execute).
    2) The file "listener.ora" was (for some reason) written
with "oracle_sid" where it really should say the real SID name
that is in my case "ORCL".
I just can't thank the guy who wrote the step-by-step
Installation guide for Oracle on RedHat Linux enough... THANK
    YOU!

I am new t othe redhat OS and need help to install sun java.... j2re-1_3_1_05-linux-i586-rpm.bin please help a newbee if you can

The J2SDK RPM for linux comes in a shell script that must be executed first. The shell script provides licensing agreements that the user must agree to.
To run the shell script, the file permissions must be set properly. You must have execute permission. I usually do this from KDE by rightclicking on the file then selecting properties, then selecting the permisssions tab.
Second, you must execute the shell script. To do this I use the terminal. Just typing the file name doesn't work because the shell needs to know where exactly the file is. I CD to the directory where the J2SDK...rpm.bin file is and use the ./ to tell the bash shell (my default) that the file is in the currrent directory I'm in. In short, type the following
    ./j2sdk-1_4_0_02-fcs-linux-i586.rpm.bin
This will bring up the license agreement, read through the agreement (scroll down with the enter key) and type either yes or no when asked. If yes, the file will unpack itself into a regular RPM file and can be installed from there.
If you don't know how to install RPM's, either click on the file in KDE and the KPackage utility will come up, or from a terminal type something like this
    rpm -i j2sdk-1_4_0_02-fcs-linux-i586.rpm
Good luck and keep using linux, it's the best.

  • Install linux redhat for oracle 10g2

    Hi Friends,
I will install linux redhat linux 5 for oracle 10g 2. How to created correct partition of linux to match oracle 10g 2.
I install linux as server style. any advice?
    Thanks
    JIm

    Hi JIm
It is true that for us DBA the OFA is the standard by excellence. You have also the quite good document on that gives you also a lot of examples.
    http://www.ss64.com/orasyntax/ofa.html
What is a style server? Do you mean as a template server?
Please note also that if you need to do more than 1 installation you can clone your binaries from your first installation. Ideally you should patch it to he latest release and then make your clone.
    1. tar your current binaries under /oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1
    2. copy the tar file on the target server under /export/home/oracle and then untar it.
    3. cd to new_oracle_home/oui
    4. ./runInstaller -clone -silent ORACLE_HOME="<new_oracle_home>" ORACLE_HOME_NAME="<unique_home_name>"
    read more on http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/install.102/b15660/app_cloning.htm
You can also clone your database to other targets
1 Duplicate from source to your targets
1.1 Perform a database backup including archive log
1.2 Create an Oracle password file for the auxiliary instance
1.3 Establish Oracle Net connectivity to the auxiliary instance
1.4 Create an initialization parameter file for the auxiliary instance
1.5 Start the auxiliary instance in NOMOUNT mode
1.6 Mount or open the target database
1.7 Ensure that backups and archived redo log files are available
1.8 Allocate auxiliary channels if needed
    1.9 Execute the DUPLICATE script
Hope this will help you to get the templates installed.
    Cheers
    Hubert

  • How many computers can I install my Creative Cloud apps on?

You can install the apps available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for example, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information.
Read more in the Creative Cloud FAQ

    Jeff,
Here is a concern I have.  I called sales support yesterday and asked the following questions.   I have 3 computers (1) PC tower, (1) iMac and (1) MacBook Pro.   When I first started using Adobe all the way through CS5 Master Collection I always owned the Windows Box Versions.  I have been waiting for months for this to come out so I could move my workflow over to MacOS X.    Since the Creative Cloud supports both MAC and Windows installs the question I asked was can I install it on both my 2 Mac Computers.  Then if I need to use it on my PC can I simply deactivate and then activate on it for use?
The answer your support person gave was "YES"  So the answer in this topic don't even flow with the answers from calling the 800 number!
So now reading this forum topic I am really confused.   I like many others have definate reasons why I may want to flip flop the machine I am using the software on  (1) I have $4500 worth of AE plug-ins.  $2000 worth of these are platform specific.  So they only run on a windows machine.  Even, though I intend on my primary workflow to be used on a MAC there may come a time when I need to use one of these plug-ins and then would have to switch my activation to the PC to use it.
Another scenario,  Let's face it Apple has not been to keen on upgrading the Mac Pro system's.  iMac's are great but have their limitations with graphics cards, drives, and memory.  So if you go a complicated AE render to do,iIt makes a lot more sense to run it on a PC at this time for me.  So my hope here is I would de-activate one of my MAC's activate my PC then render away.
I like many others completely understand that we are only suppose to operate our software on 1 machine at a time.  I am cool with you checking this.  Other posters have asked what if I forget to turn one machine off leave with my MacBook Pro and then fire it up.  Will I be in trouble?  Not sure how you handle this if you don't have a connection.  But Spotify the music streaming company license their software to me the user.  If I fire up one machine,  Then grab my iPhone and try to listen it turns it off on the other machine.  Apps in the app store like MotionX Drive do the same thing.
I am an Electrical Automation Engineer by day and a Graphic/Video Designer Enthusiast at night.   In all the programming software that every vendor provides they provide a licensing server software service that sits locally within the location.  It manages concurrent licenses, without the need for online connections.  Any computer needing to run simply pulls the license from the network connected license server software service.  When the program is done it releases the license.  The only issues with this is if your license server crashes.  It can be a bit of a headache with support to get your license back.   Others simply have an online site (like Apple) Where you simply log in and de-activate devices as needed.  (Heck even Hulu, and Netflix offer this.)
I think if Adobe wants the Cloud thing to take off then they need to re-evaluate this.  The license needs to follow the user not the device.  The user should have a painless simple way to activate and de-activate their license back to their Adobe ID.

  • How many computers can you install software on

I have elements 10 installed on one computer can I install it on another?

I am pretty sure you can put on two computers.  I think after you put the serial number in, Adobe will let you know whether you can put another copy on or not.  It keeps track of how many times you've installed it.  I hope that makes sense.
