Can TV @nywhere master (ms-8606) be used in China Mainland

I bought the TV @nywhere master (ms-8606) from the united states because i know that 8606 can support NTSC and PAL automatically( your web introduced).
But it can not work now (in china),can not find out channel (radio is normal), i don't know it is hardware or software problem. I want to know whether 8606 has different hardware version for different country. Such as NTSC version for north american, pal-d for china. Or something worng with MSI PVS's setting, or something else.
I am very hurried.

The chip on board is cx23883-17. Does cx23883 support NTSC only??
Why somebody can use it in UK(pal-i)?
There are two jumper-like circuit on board, one is NTSC the other is PAL. the NTSC position is short linked by a 0-ohm element. And i changed it to PAL, it does not work yet!!
The tv@nywhere master sell in UK is linked at NTSC or PAL? Can somebody take a picture for me? I greatly appreciate your help!

hi i did something stupid. i have lost all the cds that came bundled with the TV@nywhere Master (MS-8606). now after a format of my hard drive, i can not use the tv tuner. anybody got any clues where to find all the software, including the software? PLEASE?????

there are two stickies at the top of this forum, one has unofficial new drivers for the Master card, and another has new test MSIPVS
if you don't feel that brave, then the original drivers and software can be found on the TV@nywhere Download page on the MSI website. however i suggest you still at least use the unofficial drivers as they fix several common issues.
and if you can't remember the serial key for the MSIPVS software (handily printed on CD), MSI PVS install requires serial number

At the moment the iPhone is locked to AT&T and you'll find I'm afraid that they do not unlock.
If the iPhone is out of Warranty, you are more than welcome to find a third party solution on the internet. Apple will still support the iPhone for any repairs that are needed so long as you restore the iPhone as new before the iPhone is taken in for repair.

TV @nywhere Master (MS-8606) Problem w/remote!

some how evry thing expet the remote works great video and stereo sound, but the remote ;( it sends singnals example i can turn MSIPVS on/off but i cant change channel with the arrows also same thing with the volume but the nummerpad works (1-9), the Mute button dosnt work, Fullscreen dosnt work, Function works etc etc, anyone know if there are any patches? if there are i dont seem to find them on there support nor the forum.

hmm i seem to fix the Volume problem maybe its just my SW...
but if you have the same problem go to the file RemtCtrl.ini in your WinCinemaMgr.exe folder example "C:Program FilesInterVideoCommonBin"
Make BACKUP of your ORGINAL RemtCtrl.ini if your gonna recode.

Patience Yuz this forum has no input from MSI so you have to wait until someone, somewhere else in the world is awake.
Regards to MSIPVS yes it is awful and there has been quite some discussion within this section of the forum and the survey section as to the problems with this software. It is not only MSIPVS that is at fault the drivers also need some work. On some PC`s MSIPVS causes crashes but by far the biggest complaint is the poor display. Also MSIPVS or the card/drivers not sure which, will not remember it`s locale, every time it is started it will go back to the default in my case it seams to be PAL_B and some times to NTSC my locale is the UK and the TV setting should be PAL_I but getting to stay on PAL_I is a big problem. It makes it hard to schedule a recording as it will probably start in the wrong format. I agrre with you that feeware software is better than MSIPVS.
Thanks to your previous post I can confirm that you have sorted the remote`s missing functions.
Now all we need to get the drivers and MSIPVS sorted.

The T-Mobile iPhone, sold in the US, is officially unlocked & will work where you live. Bear in mind, your warranty/support will only be valid in the US. Any issues & you'll have to physically return the phone to the US, you can't mail it to Apple.

Transfering NTSC VHS using TV @nywhere Master....Plz Help!

Im trying to transfer NTSC VHS using Philips VR422 VHS Video Recorder. This is able to play NTSC VHS Video's normally on any TV.
But When I use TV @nywhere Master it doesnt display properly and I only get it in black and while and the display sometimes has a bar at the top and/or bottom usually flickering displaying a previous part of the recording.
Now I have used the Coax/Phono(RCA)/S-Video inputs from the Coax source and the both scart connecters (ex1 & 2) using a scart coverter connector and still have the same problem.
Now I live in the UK and obviously here it's PAL-I but i have tried from setup/installation both NTSC (& NTSC-M) and PAL-I and still get it in black and white!, ive tried changing these after installation with no joy!, I have used the original drivers and have the latest WDM drivers and PVR1 & 3 downloaded from the MSI website.
I have no probs with the sound coming in through L/R Phono's to 3.5mm using the Line-In.
Does anyone know how to get this setup so it players normally through the TV @nywhere Master or could someone help me in finding either a DVD recorder that can do it or a service (local to Birmingham,UK) which i can use as I need to get these done ASAP!!... HELP!!!

unfortunately there are two versions of TV@nywhere Master; if you have the PAL one (for Europe) then it won't work with NTSC signals (or vice-versa)

Can the 100% browser width function be used in non-master pages?

Can the 100% browser width function be used in non-master pages? I watched the video about pulling it to the red edges, and did that on some of my parent pages, but when I preview the page in browser, it doesn't work. I can still see my browser edges.
The idea for the website I am designing is to have different full browser width images for different pages, and I'm looking for a way to do that. I would create a different master for each page, but there are more than 20 pages...too many master pages! Thanks!

The 100% width feature works with rectangles and text frames on both master pages as well as regular pages. It doesn't work with images in either case. A possible workaround would be to use a rectangle with a background image, depending on the nature of your image.

Is the folder 'Master' in Referenced Library useful? Can I delete it?

I've switched from a managed to a referenced library.
I stress that after double checking ALL my photos are now stored outside of the library.
When I show the content of the apertue library package I can see the Master folder still contain 25GB+ of photos.
What are thses files?
Can I delete them?

Over time you'll end up with more content in the Master folder. For example, if you edit an image in an external editor, Aperture automatically creates a new original (master). These automatically created originals are always managed. You will need to relocate them after the fact to make them referenced.

in IO '0material', i have some data. but i need to delete that. while deleting it is saying that 0material is used in other data targets...first u delete that then u can delete from 0material...
but what i found is even tho 0material is used in number of data targets, no data target is provided with data from 0material. so im not able to understand what to delete from data targets...shud i del the 0mateial IO from those data targets or what????

Hi Nith,
I am not quite sure about your issue, but here some additional hints.
- you cannot delete a infoobject if it is alread used somewhere else (e.g. in attributes of another infoobject, in ods objects, in cubes)
- you cannot delete the data of a infoobject if the data is already used somewhere else (e.g. see above). The system checks the used records and only the records that are not in use will be deleted. You can check yourself which records are already used or not. In the sid-table of the infoobject you'll find a flag datafl. If it contains a 'X', the record is used.

TV@nywhere Master problems

I recently purchased TV@nywhere Master to use on my Dell Dimension 4550 which runs WinXP, and would like help with the following issues:
•   The signal for the TV card is provided by an antenna however, it is not strong enough to reach the tuner’s threshold, so none of my channels show as available in SETUP. I have already downloaded and installed the three latest driver versions from the MSI website. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can remedy this situation? The same antenna provides the signal to our two TVs, and our reception is perfect.
•   I have twice attempted to register this card on your website, and have been told both times that my sessions, which took about a minute, had timed out! Can you fix this, please?
•   The radio comes on unbidden whenever I start my computer, and after it comes out of standby mode.

I have a TV@nywhere master and I live in the UK.
I do not have any problems with tuning the stations with MSIPVS. All 4 main channels work fine, it also tuned in to some weaker signals. The only terrestrial channel I can not get is channel 5 but that is because they is no channel 5 by aerial in my area.
You could try fine tuning the channel that BBC2 is on, it may help, how to do it is in the manual.
The drivers on MSI web site are not for the master (MS-8606) version they are for the original TV@nywhere and the TV@nywhere Master drivers are the same version number as the one on the website but have probably been tweaked to accommodate the new Microtune MT2050 tuner.
The only gripe I have about the MS-8606 is the drivers for the tuner. They do work BUT if you want to use any other software that works with the new CX2883 and MT2050 chips, you have to run MSIPVS first to get the tuner to work. The display within MSIPVS also leaves a lot to be desired especially after using Dscaler (no tuner - video-in only). Video-in is not a problem and works with most well know freeware/shareware software. The capture quality (which is my main concern) is excellent when using the higher setting. I have captured some footage of an holiday video that was transfered to an very high quality VHS tape nearly 12 years ago, and converted it to an SVCD. The quality of the end results is as good as the original VHS tape. I have also capture from the Tuner in DVD quality and it is almost undistinguishable from a real DVD`s play back and certainly better than some cheapo DVDs.
As the Tuner and encode/decoding chips are very new (product only released 3-4 weeks ago) support and new drivers will take time to appear, BUT even without the support etc. I can still see the quality that this card as to offer.

Aggh! tv@nywhere master, coax blue screen

2 biggie problems
1) My TV@nywhere Master won't give me anything with the coax cable but a blue screen. Yes, setup is set to "TV" and the conexant card is selected. Composite video works fine, but that's not what I want to use. I've scanned for channels
2) no sound. I've tried in internal cable ot my mobo. Ther's no indication of the pin orientation on either the MSI card or my mobo, so I've tried it a couple of ways. I've also tried patching into the mob's external audio in as described in the manual. Still nothing. I get the message after scanning channels that stations are stereo, so it seems that the sound is getting in...... All other system sounds and audio are normal.
I just built the system, so I'm not a complete techno dud, but I've tried everything I can think of.

MSI PVS Crossbar and Tuner 2.3.7.5
WinDVR version 2.0 (the latest version from online at MSI)
System;

I tried moving the card around to different pci slots, but that had no effect, so I put it back in themiddle slot wher I started.
Then, I de-installed EVERYTHING MSI, drivers included and
1) reinstalled all drivers through the xp hardware wizard. ( all drivers latest download from MSI)
2) installed the PVS software (also downloaded from MSI)
3) scanned and locked onto channel 3, so I can now view my satellite thru that channel, no blue screen
BUT
NO sound!!!
agggghhhh!
love to hear any ideas
also, if anyone can tell me how to orient the internal audio cable, I'd love to know that too
