Can two iCloud accounts share calendar entries

My wife and I share an iMac but have our own iPads and iPhones and two iCloud accounts. Unfortunately, calendar events entered in the iMac don't show up on her iPhone, but if entered on her iPhone will show up on the iMac. This is getting confusing and results in missed appointments. Does anyone have a solution please?

Yes, you can share calendars.

  • Can two icloud accounts share a photostream

Help!  I know many of us are in this same boat.  My husband and I would like to share our photostreams but we have two separate iCloud accounts.  We'd basically like all the photos to be viewable across all our devices (computer, iphones, ipads).
    thanks!

That's not possible, I'm afraid. You would need to import your photos into iPhoto and sync the photos to your devices via iTunes.

  • Can 2 iCloud accounts share same Calendar, Contacts, and Photos? (family)

    iPhone #1 (Husband)
    iPhone #2 (wife)
    iMac (Both)
We do not want to share the same email or reminders... email is personal, but we would like to share photos, contacts, and calendars. Can two iCloud accounts be shared with the same iMac and by doing so the iMac syncs the two accounts in Calandar, Contacts, Photos and merges the two accounts to the one program resulting in both phones containing the same Calendars, Contacts, and Photos???
Any ideas, tips, tricks, or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I posted pretty much the same question on the forum a week [How to share contacts in iCloud?] and did mention that there the subscribe functionality for Calendar (replacement of iCal) works fine, but the issue with Contacts is becoming more critical (as Apple gave up the MobileMe support)... I did increment the count of 'I have the same question' hopefully increasing sight of Apple support team...

can two iTunes accounts share the same appleTV simultaneously ?

    This should help:
iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer
Note that when it says "publicly accessible location", it needs to be a place where everyone has read and write access. The most common such place is the Shared folder in the Users folder, but you can place the music elsewhere if you change the access permissions manually (don't start tinkering with permissions unless you're confident you know what you're doing and can reverse things if they get messed up).

  • Two iCloud accounts - one calendar?

My wife and I have separate iCloud accounts and devices - iPhones an iPads. How do we set up cloud so that we have just one calendar that we can both make entries too and access on our devices?

You could simply set up calendar sharing (see also: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690). Justopen the calendar app on your iOS device, click calendars, and then the little "i" icon, here you can add other people and share your calendar.

  • Can two User Accounts share a playlist?

My wife and I have a shared iTunes Music folder (Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/iTunes Music) which serves both user accounts and both iPods.
However, we have not figured out how to copy playlists. I don't want all of hers, and she doesn't want all of mine. It would be useful, however, to be able to copy individual playlists from her iTunes Music Library to mine, and vice-versa, so that playlists we both like don't have to be re-created.
Is there a way to do this?

  • How do we sync contacts and calendars (ONLY) between two iCloud accounts, two iPhones and one iMac with two user accounts?

This is complex.  Until today we had one iMac with two user accounts - one for me and the other for my wife.  We sync'd our calendars and contacts between our two user accounts using my iCloud account, thereby keeping our schedules coordinated and our contacts information always the same between us.  Also, as I had an iPhone, I sync'd my phone with my iCloud account, thereby keeping the contacts and calendars in the two user accounts on the iMac AND my iPhone sync'd.  (I also sync'd other things, like Notes and Mail and Safari settings, between my iPhone and my user account on the iMac, but my wife did not want to be burdened with all my emails showing up in her email account and I wasn't interested in hers, etc., so we didn't sync anything between us other than calendars and contacts.)
We've finally bought my wife an iPhone and set up an iCloud account for her.  And of course she now wants to sync several items from HER account on our iMac to HER iPhone, but I don't want them, just as she doesn't want all of my other stuff.  But we still want our mutual calendars and contacts to sync to HER new iPhone, just like they already do to mine.  But I can't figure out how to CHANGE her iMac user account from using MY iCloud account on the iMac to using HER new iCloud account, and then having HER iCloud account speak to MY iCloud account but share JUST our calendars and contacts.
Originally I tried a workaround by simply having her iPhone log into my iCloud account.  That works great for the calendars and the contacts.  But...she can't sync anything else from her iMac account to her new iPhone because she's presently "forced" to use my iCloud account.  And neither of us want to sync our other things to each other's iMac accounts or iPhones.  Also as we're both using my iCloud account, in things like the Find My iPhone app, the Cloud is seeking two phones labeled with my name and none with her's.  So we definitely don't want this as the set-up and communications network between our devices.
We want to set up our users on the iMac to sync to our SEPARATE AND DIFFERENT iCloud accounts and then have those iCloud accounts sync calendars and contacts (ONLY) between themselves, and then push that data to our separate iPhones (or the other way, from either of our iPhones to the individual accounts on our iMac and the other person's iPhone).  Does this description make sense to you?  I've diagramed it nicely using Keynote, but even thiough I can draw it, I can't figure out how to set up and configure all the devices to make it work.  If you would like me to send the Keynote slides (just two of them - the current and desired configurations - please send your email address to me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to forward it to you.
If anyone can help me set this up I'd be most appreciative!  Thanks so much.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all readers in this community!

I had the same problem, and decided to look into it last night.
First of all, the solution I would like to have is for Apple to allow for selection of iCloud accounts per application, i.e. Contacts to one, Photo Stream to another. I believe this would be the most straight forward solution for the problem we are facing.
Since this is not an option I came up with a workaround. I was most interested in solving this for Contacts, so this is what I tested for. Now I have all 3 devices with the same contacts.
    1) Turn off iCloud for Contacts on all devices. On the device that has the Contacts list that you would like to propagate to all others select to keep the contacts, and on the others select not to keep them.
Note that the current backups still exist on iCloud, so in case something goes wrong you can still turn the iCloud for Contacts back on to get your current Contacts back.
    2) In iTunes, sync All Contacts with the phones, starting with the one with the Contacts content you chose to keep.
From this point on, the 3 devices should sync contacts with each other.
This, of course, will stop your iCloud backups of Contacts, but I don't think this is really needed. You are already storing copies of your Conacts on 3 devices, which for good parts of the day are likely not all co-located. You also potentially have Time Machine backups turned on, which would mean there is a 4th copy there as well. For the case of Contacts iCloud only complicates matter ... that is until Apple implements the solution I first wrote about.

  • I have two iCloud accounts, my original one that I used for iTunes years ago which has all my content, apps etc and a mobile me one which I got when I set mobile me up which has all my settings etc, this is causing problems, can I merge them?

As I said I have two iCloud accounts, both do different things, i.e. my original iTunes account has all my app's and music etc, and then also the account which was set up for me when I set up a 'mobile me' account has all my calendars, contacts, settings etc, how can I merge these or even easily set my settings etc to go to my older iTunes account, I have tried to set up family sharing and all I can share is my calendars not my apps because they are with another iTunes account.
I am also a little concerned that my fire vault has just set its self up using the mobile me account, if I was to get rid of an account I imagine this would be the easiest one to ditch then what would happen to all my encrypted data?
    Many thanks for your help.

I am logged into the same things on both my iPhone and my MacBook Pro, except for mail. I use a gmail IMAP account and everything there already works on both machines. The iCloud account on my iPhone uses one Apple ID and the one on the Mac uses the second Apple ID.

Yes, you can have multiple iCloud accounts on the iPad but only one account will be the primary with all iCloud info.
The other account will only use some of the iCloud info.
Set > Mail, Contact, Calendars > Add account.
Add the other iCloud account and you can see what will be there.

  • How can I have one "family" Apple ID and two icloud accounts one for me and one for the wife?

MacVirgin!Just got new Air and iMac (iphones on the way). How can I have one Apple ID but two iCloud accounts (one for me and one for my wife)? I have set up one iCloud account and am attempting to share contacts between iMac, iCloud and Air, however iMac and iCloud are not in sync? I must be missing something very simple.

ok. I set up the imac and Air with one user account. this was used to activae iCloud on both machines and I have now se up one iCloud account and managed to share calander and contacts between the two. Ultimately both me and my wife will have an iphone and we wish to share calenders and contacts. We both also use the imac and air on one user account. It looks like I need to set another user account then activate iCloud in my wifes Apple ID

  • HT204053 Can I set up two iCloud accounts on my IPAD3 at the same time? If not how do you sign out of one to sign in to another?

Can I set up two iCloud accounts on my IPAD3 at the same time? If not how do you sign out of one to sign in to another?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
You can add more than one account to your iPad, but you can only have one primary account. Secondary accounts which you can add at settings> mail, contacts, calendars do not have all the features of a primary account such as photo stream.

  • I seem to have two icloud accounts--how can i consolidate?

I seem to have two iCloud accounts--how do I consolidate?

If your second account is actually an iCloud account with data in it, as opposed to a login for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match (which isn't actually anything to do with iCloud itself) you can sign in with it in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars and its data will appear alongside the main account. (You can't use PhotoStream and a few other facilities with this secondary account, and you don't get 'push' email, only checking at intervals).
If the second ID is in fact only for iTunes just go on as you are: there is no conflict about doing this and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

  • Can i have two icloud accounts on my iphone

can i have two icloud accounts on the same iphone?

Yes.  You can set up a second ("secondary") account on your phone by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and signing in with a different ID.  There are some limitations with secondary iCloud accounts to be aware of.  Only the primary account can be used for Photo Stream, Bookmarks, Documents, iCloud Backup and Find My Device.  Also, push mail only works for the primary account; secondary account mail is fetch.

  • TS3988 how can i merge my two icloud accounts information

How can I merge my two iCloud accounts information

Apple doesn't provide a direct merge operation but you can connect in one account, disconnect but keep the data on the device, then connect with the other account and merge the data.
    Details...
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, log into the other iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc.  Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there.  These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE:  Photos in the first account's photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the other account.  It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.
