Can two iPhones with different iSO get synchronized via the same iTunes?

Me and my wife have two iPhones 3S, sharing the same iTunes store account, which get usually synchronized via iTune 9.2. Now, I want to upgrade my iPhone to iSO4, while my wife is quite happy to momentarily stay with iSO 3.1.3. The question is will she be able to keep synchronizing her iPhone the old iSO3 way after me downloading (and installing) iSO4 on my iPhone? Need an advice before doing something foolish...

If you don't want to update your wife's phone, don't update. The OS is NOT part of the itunes sync, other than some apps may only work properly under iOS 4 once developers start updating their apps. You should have no problems doing what you want.

just to add another question to this, can i subscribe to a photo stream, like my mate's?

  • Syncing two iPhone with separate Apple ID's to the same PC

I have an iPhone and an iPad syncing to my computer, all three using my apple id. My wife is getting an iPhone and would like to use some of the apps which I have purchaced, as well as the music, movies and tv shows on our computer.
My question is: Can my wife use the content of itunes on my computer on her phone, if her phone is using her apple id (keep in mind that she will not be syncing her phone with any other computer) or will i need to use my apple id on her phone to enable the sharing of apps?
    Thanks in advance.

anything that you have in your itunes library on cpu can be transferred to her device even if those items were downloaded using your apple id.she can purchase apps using her apple id as well and those items will be added to itunes library on the computer.what i'm saying is that if use share each others applications and in the future some of those apps need updating you have to update with whatever apple id they were downloaded from.does that make sense?

  • HT204053 I have two iphones with different numbers that I use my apple ID for purchases, etc.  How do I get my second iphone setup on icloud?  I would like to use the features of icloud for both of my iphones.  Thank you

I have two iphones with different phone numbers that I use.  I have one of them set up on icloud now, but do not know how to set up my second device on icloud.  Both of my iphones use my same Apple ID for purchases, etc.  Is there a simple way to add a device to my icloud account?  Thank you in advance for any help someone may be able to give me.

To move one of the phones to a different iCloud account (if that's what you want to do), go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data to Off.  When prompted, choose to keep the data on your iPhone.  After everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud so the other phone will not be effected.  Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing in Settings>iCloud back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new iCloud account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com and sign into each iCloud account separately and delete any unwanted data that you don't want on the phone syncing with each account.

  • What is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

what is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

You don't have to do anything special. If possible, start your project with a clip that has the desired target frame rate and audio sample rate, and your project parameters will be set automatically. Other sample rates will be converted under the covers.
For example, if your video is shot at 48khz, you can add music files at 44.1khz with no problem.
If you are recording audio that you want to synch with video (multicam), you will get best results if everything is 48khz, but you can use 44.1 if that is all you have. Once I forgot to reset my Zoom to 48,000 and it still worked.

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
    Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

We have 2  ipods & would like to sync different songs to each using the same itunes library. How do we accomplish this?

Use one of the several outlined methods in this Apple support document. I personally like the individual playlist set up where you add everything you want to a specific playlist and then set up each iPod to sync that one playlist that contains all the content you would like to be synced to it.

  • What happens if two iPhones with different versions of ios share an identical ID and password?

I activated my new iPhone 6 as a replacement of  my old iPhone 4, using the same apple ID and phone name. Everything the old iPhone 4 had is now on the new phone. What happens if I connect my old phone, which I believe is still registered as before, to iTunes?  All the applications on 6 (ios 8.1.3) have been updated and my iPhone 4 has ios 7.  If I back up the old 4 on to my iTunes account, does it affect my new iphone 6 when I up date it on the same iTunes account?

  • Can two iPhones with same name sync with iTunes?

I've just got a new iPhone 4 and immediately synced it with iTunes, transferring all the data from my old 3Gs including the phone name. This means that I now have two iPhones with the same name(3Gs and 4). What are my chances of keeping my 3Gs as a back-up phone that's still able to sync with my iPhone account or will I have to change to phone's name and install apps from scratch? I'd really appreciate any advice from the experts on this.

You need to rename one of them. I would suggest that you backup and sync each device after the renaming.

  • I have two Iphones with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID. Will that cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

I have two Iphones 5 with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID account. Both are using IOS 8.
I would like to set up a new Apple Id for one of the phones and remove it from the old account.
If I do that, can I move all of the purchased apps and songs to the new Apple account?
Also, will sharing one Apple ID account with two devices cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address).  While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud.  You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

  • Two iPhones with different applications

I have Vista and when I try to create another user to sync the iPhone#2, it says that it's only logged on as a temporary account and all information will be lost. So I've decided that I will just use my user account to sync both phones.
I have found a way to distinguish the calendar and contacts on Outlook.
However, is there a way to distinguish the different applications so that iPhone#1 and iPhone#2 don't end up with the same applications? We have 2 different iTunes account.
    Thanks!!

Helpful but is there a way to separate the two so I don't have to individually choose the apps? Would that mess up our accounts because they're downloaded with different accounts? I know with the music, I can just make a separate playlist. Thanks.

  • Can two iphones on different accounts sync from the same itunes account?

I have an iphone through work. The iphone along with four other various types of ipods sync with my accounts on iTunes, including thousands of purchased songs. My wife is getting an iphone but she had to do if through her work.
How do I make sure she can still sync with my library of purchased songs? We all want to have just one itunes account even though the iphone will be purchased separately. Make sense?
