Can two separate Icloud accounts use the same device?

My wife has already registered and I cloud account on our shared IPad. I am late to the "cloud" band wagon but now need to transfer a lot of data between my phone and I pad. Can two I cloud accounts be used on a shared device such as our iPad?

Yes. Launch iTunes with the Shift key held down as needed, or use separate Windows user accounts on the computer.

  • HT2542 Can we have two separate itunes accounts using the same mac?

I am wanting to download music to my Thunderbolt smart phone (i know, no iphone yet, next upgrade) and I want to use itunes to do it. My partner has an itunes account and I thought I opened my own itunes account, but apparently I didn't. I don't like the same music and only want to download music I like to my phone. Can we just have one account and be able to download checked music from the itunes to multiple devices?

    I'm confused

Do you want one or two?
By the way, and iTunes account is really the thing you use online to purchase music, not what you have on a computer.  You have user accounts on a computer, and you have iTunes libraries or collections of media.  You can have multiple user accounts on a computer.  You can have a single or multiple user accounts use a single or multiple libraries.  We need to know exactly what it is you have/want.

  • Is there a way to photostream pictures from two separate iCloud accounts to the same mac, for display in iPhoto?

Is there a way to photostream pictures from two separate iCloud accounts (two iphones that I own) to the same mac, for simultaneous display in iPhoto?

On a Mac, PhoneView is one option (I've been happily using for a year or two). TouchCopy is another (have not heard anything negative about it).
You'll only get back the low-res versions that were downsized when synced to the phone, but better than nothing.

  • CAn two different skype account use the same skype...

If I buy a skype number thru my account , when someone calls, can it ring in my husband´s and my device or do I need a different skype number for each skype account?

Use port range Triggering instead of Port forwarding. When you use port triggering then those ports will be opened for the entire local network.

  • HT204053 can you have two separate iCloud accounts on one iMac device?

can you have two separate iCloud accounts on one iMac device?

You can have only one iCloud "user configuration" per local user on the Mac. Who the local user belongs to doesn't mind. Since it's a local user it's not related with who actually uses it. So let's say you want to set up Photo streaming using your iCloud user, just configure iCloud (under System Preferences) the same way you did on your phone and you're done.
But, beware: if you're only interested in synching photos, uncheck everything else when configuring iCloud on the Mac, otherwise you will merge, for example, your husband contacts, calendar and mail with those on your phone.
If you want to avoid any problems you can easily create another local user on the Mac with your name, under System Preferences, System, Users & Groups. After you create the user, logoff. The Mac will ask if you want to disable autologin (since there's more than one user that can log in now), answer yes and you will be presented with a logon screen. Click on your account name, insert the password and configure iCloud to sync with your phone.

  • Two i cloud accounts using the same apple id

How can I use the same apple id and have differnet icloud accounts for my family so our contacts dont back up togethe?

You can't create multiple accounts using the same ID.  To create separate accounts, you would need to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with separate Apple IDs for each account.  However, you can maintain separate iCloud accounts and share the same ID for other services, such as your iTunes store account.  The IDs do not need to be the same.
If you want to migrate devices to separate accounts and move a copy of the iCloud data to each account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the existing account will not be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once everyone is on separate accounts, you can each go to iCloud.com and delete any data from other family members that you don't want in your account.

  • HT204053 Can two different icloud accounts used for the same mac computer and same Itunes account still transfer photos and downloaded apps to all devices associated with that mac?

I purchased my wife an Iphone and we currently use the same icloud account, but we just ran out of storage. I'm not sure if we need so much more space that I'm ready to upgrade to 15 total GB of storage. If my wife sets up her own icloud account for her iphone will she and I still be able to share our photos, downloaded apps and music with different icloud accounts?

Apps and music aren't anything to do with your iCloud account, indeed you can use different ID's for each.
If you create and use another ID for iCloud, you will not be able to share both photostreams to the same user account on the computer.
This could be worked around with a second user account on the computer for the second user to do all their computing in. However you may find that photostreams shared albums will work around the problem for you. For example if you create a shared album and share it with your partner, any photos you add to that album will be available in your partners photostream on the computer.

  • Can I have two separate iTunes account on the same pad?

My husband and I have two separate iTunes account. He has a iPad (his iTunes/icloud login) that I would like to be able to download movies on from our family account (my iTunes) but keep his iCloud messaging, etc intact on his iPad. Is this possible?

No, you can only be signed into a single iTunes account at a time.  And once you download a previous purchase from and iTunes ID you can't switch to another ID to download previous purchases for 90 days.  However, you don't have to use the same ID for iMessage that you do for iTunes.  You can create a new ID to use for iMessage, FaceTime, etc., then go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (and Settings>FaceTime), tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.  Using different IDs for will keep you from getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

  • Can I home share two separate itunes accounts to the same homeshare?

I would like to home share two separate iTunes accounts we have at the house.  Has anyone done that? Or am I forced to consolidate to one iTunes account which only allows 5 authorized computers?

Yes you can set up homesharing on more than one library to be shared with other devices, just use the same homesharing ID and password on all of them.

  • Two separate itunes accounts on the same computer

Ok I need help before I throw my computer and iphones.
I have two separate itunes accounts, and two separate iphones. I'm using the same computer.
I'm trying to sync my wife's iphone to her itunes account on my laptop, but it keeps wanting to load my apps to her phone.
Now I signed out of my itunes, and signed into her's.
How come itunes is pulling my apps up and wanting to sync them to her phone?
I authorized her phone to my laptop as well.
This doesn't make sense at all.
How can I just start from scratch and just have itunes backup what's on her phone, and thats it?

The issue is this is referring to music, I'm asking about applications.
If I setup a new user on my laptop, when I open itunes, isn't it going to just pull the same data in itunes already?
And if this is the way to fix it, I would need to have a separate user on my laptop for every device that isn't linked to my itunes account? (seems extreme)

  • Is it possible to access two separate CC accounts on the same computer?

I use two separate CC accounts  - 1) work 2) personal. I have access to Photoshop through the work account and recently purchased Premiere via my personal account. Seems like activating my personal account deactivated my work account because I no longer have access to Photoshop. How do I fix this?

Your subscription is tied to your Adobe ID
Sign in to the cloud with ID "work" and you have access to your work subscription
Sign in to the cloud with ID "home" and you have access to your home subscription
Switching from one to the other requires you to sign out of the Cloud and then sign in with the different ID

  • How can I get iCloud to use the same Apple ID on my Mac and iOS devices

I have an Apple ID that syncs between my iPhone and iPad. The Apple ID on my Mac is different and I cannot change it so it uses the same Apple ID and iCloud account.

Sign out of the Apple ID on your Mac and sign in to the one you want to use. Go to System Preferences>iCloud>Sign Out
Then sign in to the Apple ID you use with your iPhone and iPad.

  • Can two different local ips use the same port at the same time?

Can two PS3s use the same ports at the same time. So let's say you have two PS3s and they need to open the exact same set of ports at the same time to be able to play the same game online. Is that possible on a regular consumer router such as the wrt310n? If so, then how would someone go about that. I am just asking out of curiosity.
I don't work for Cisco. I'm just here to help.

Use port range Triggering instead of Port forwarding. When you use port triggering then those ports will be opened for the entire local network.
