Can two Treos sync calendars?

My husband and I just got Treo 755p smartphones from Verizon.  We are using the Palm Desktop to manage them on the computer and we each have our own user pages.  Is there a way to sync his calendar (and just the calendar- not all the other things like contacts, etc.) onto my phone and vice versa?  It would make life so much easier.

Thanks for saving me the $15.  I assume there has to be a way to sync two calendars efficiently, without having to delete imported items time and again!  Isn't that one of the conveniences of this device?
Is there a way to beam the information without repeating calendar items already entered into the calendar?

  • HT5621 I changed my apple ID on my laptop and I can no longer sync calendars from my iphone4s to the Macbook.  I went to settings and when I open iCloud account settings, my old apple id is grayed out and I can't tap it to change it.  Any suggestions??

I changed my apple ID on my Macbook  but I am unable to sync calendar from my iphone 4s.  When I go to settings in the phone, my old ID is there, but it is greyed out and I can't change it. I was able to change the app store ID, but the one in iCloud settings seems stuck.  Any suggestions??

You need to use the old ID and password to delete the iCloud account. After you delete the old account, you can sign in with the new ID in iCloud.
    Have you seen this.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796
    iCloud
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.

  • Can no longer sync calendar events with Yahoo! Calendar

I have an ipod Touch 4G.  It used to be able to sync calendar items back to Yahoo! Calendar so I didn't have to enter them manually once I had entered them on the Touch.
Now I learn that in iO5 I can no longer do this with Yahoo! Calendar.  I thought that Apple prided itself on being user friendly.  I am sorry, but I have to consider this change "user hostile."
One reason I bought the iPod Touch was that it would sync to my Yahoo! Calendar.  Come on, guys!  Not fair!

I have the same problem with my ipod nano. I downloaded tunes from my old pc. ITunes does not recognise it from my new pc and I cannot sync.

  • Can ipod nano sync calendars from windows office 2002

I have a brand new ipod nano 3rd Generation and I can sync contacts from my windows address book. But I cant sync any calendar info or any to-do lists. It shows that "windows outlook must be installed to sync calendars". I have MS Outlook installed and its Version 2002. Still It Shows The Same Thing!!
P.S. I have ipod nano version 1.1.2 and iTunes version 7.6.2
    Please Help??
    Thanks in Advance

Put the songs in itunes, then sync them to your ipod.
You cannot sync directly from windows media player. You must use itunes.

  • Can two iphones sync to one itunes library?

I know the answer to the basic question is yes, as I'm doing that now.  But if we've both been sharing one itunes store account....
So when iCloud came out, it requires your own appleID.  So if both of us have a different ID, will we have trouble syncing on the same itunes mac?
ie,. will there have to be a "log in / log out" in the itunes store each and every time a sync occurs?

This article covers what you want to do: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495
As long as the phones have different names you can set different sync settings for them in iTunes. However, if they have the same Apple ID for iCloud any iCloud content (mail, calendar, contacts, notes, reminders) will be duplicated. The way to deal with this is to have different iCloud accounts on each device, but use the same Apple ID for the iTunes & App Stores. This way you can share music and apps.

  • Can I not sync Calendar via USB anymore?

I just noticed that my iPad no longer syncs with the Calendar on my laptop. I did a search in the Help menu (which actually worked this time) and it said that you have to sync Calendars in Maverick with iCloud. What??? I don't use iCloud, and don't intend to.
Is this true? Hooking up the iPad to the computer no longer syncs data through the cable??

Hello Dub1_303. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Ok so here is what i have to work with, an action tech modem with a usb port, and a airport express connected to it via that usb port. the problem is in the airport express itself. Its not configured yet! How can i configure the AE via usb because this pc running vista doesn't have wifi? Can it be done via usb?
The AirPort Express Base Station (AX) must be connected to a DSL/Cable modem via Ethernet to function as a wireless router; the AX's USB port is only for connecting to a USB printer.
It sounds like you are attempting to use the AX as a substitute wireless card for the PC by connecting it to the PC's USB port. Sorry, but that will not work.

  • Can't Hot Sync Calendar

For quite some time now I have been unable to sync the calendar info from my handheld to my desktop.  I have removed the softwareand reloaded 4.14 and 6.2 several times but to no avail.  The sync breezes through until it gets to calendar.  I've even let it go for over anhour at a time and it just never finishes.  Can anyone help?  Thank you.

    This should help you
Ok, first we need to see if you can sync without calendar checked. On your computer right click the hotsync icon and go to custom. Then click on calendar and then change. We are going to set calendar to do nothing and check the box that says set as default. Close up the menus and try to hotsync if it syncs fine good continue on.
Next we need to install a program on to your device called DBFixit (here's the link http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbfixit.htm) Download this file on the right side of the page. Then install the application to the device. Once on the device open it up and tap on the blue bar but in the top left select delete calendar blobs and say OK or yes. Then keep running that till you have 0 listed or no blobs found. Then we are going to hotsync with calendar syncing from the device to the PC. Again right click the hotsync icon and go to custom. Then click on calendar and then change. Then select handheld overwrites desktop. Sync and post back if that fixed the issue.
If it did then we need to change the sync to sync the files and set that as default. To do that, again right click the hotsync icon and go to custom. Then click on calendar and then change. Then select sync the files and set as default box checked. You should be all set at that point.

  • Can you still sync calendars and contacts using I tunes if using I cloud

My wife and I use a common user account and do not want to share our contacts or certain calendars.  Can we continue to sync these using I Tunes and Icloud  and do not allow calendars and contacts to move up to icloud.  My contacts are not syncing with my I phone now when I conect my computer using I tunes.  This is a problem.

I suggest extreme caution and a long discussion with Apple before doing anything. No one at Apple warned me that Apple automatically syncs with Outlook 2007 via iCloud (I do NOT use MS Exchange Server). I synchronized once using the cable between my iPhone 4S and my pc running Windows 7. Both Contacts and Calendars have relocated within Outlook and calendars does not sync properly, neither with nor without iCloud on of off. 1-800-APL-CARE has said this is an Outlook problem and absolved themselves of further assistance.
I rely on calendar and contact syncing for my business and both files are currently totally messed up with many duplicates, and some missing items, plus sync does not work consistently and most often gives error messages which Apple cannot locate or help fix.
I tell you all this to emphasize the importance of NOT trying anything yourself until Apple gives you all the facts and guides you through the maze. Techs in the Apple Store set up all my initial connections and I had not altered them unless told to do so by Apple. It may be to late to rescue me and my business, but not too late for you.

  • Why can't I sync Calendar on my Mac to my touch?

Let me see if I understand this correctly... I need a MobileMe account in order to sync iCal to my touch? I can't just click "Sync" under the "Info" tab within iTunes and it'll sync iCal on my Mac to my touch? Because that didn't work.

You can use MobileMe or not. Did you tell iTunes what info to sync before you clicked the "Sync" button?

  • Sync calendar by icloud

Can you only sync calendar by icloud?

    Barney-15E,
thanks for pointing to another option... i just can't accept that if i don't want to use icloud, my calendar and contact are pretty much useless. i feel i may be missing something here, that there is another simple option, or it is the fact that apple is trying to jam icloud down my throat?
anyway... i wonder if you know well enough to help me, barney-15e, to set this up. i am stuck at this step from the baikal instructions:
    shdh-dhcp-xxx-xxx:~ xxx$ apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 20 of /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf:
Invalid command 'NameVitrualHost', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
what am i missing? is this too complicated, involving installing other stuff? keep in mind i work for a large institution -- would this work with all the  firewall and security my employer may have up?
if this works, i intend to set up the same thing with my home mac.
    thanks.

  • Can you sync two different apple calendars? My husband and I want to better manage our family.

My husband and I wish to sync our apple calendars.  Is it possible to do so? We have 2 separate apple Id's.  Tried google but seems to sync from google to Iphone calendar but not the other way.  I much prefer apples calendar because of the functions available but my husband and I need to see one another's schedules.  Any help out there ? Can you sync two different users calendars via the calendar that comes with Apple products?

You each need an iCloud account and to sync your iCal calendars with iCloud. Then you can each share a calendar or calendars privately, so only available to the other, who would be able to edit it, or not, depending on your settings. Please see this page:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a8694
    and the subsquent pages.

  • Can two iCal users edit the same published/shared calendar

Can two iCal users (obviously different mobileMe accounts) edit the same published/shared calendar? I want to have a calendar running which we can both edit remotely but for it to be synced so we both know what each other is doing. Maybe I can share it on my iDisk somehow? I have searched but could not find an answer so I am sorry if this has been covered already !

There is now way to do this using standard MobileMe and iCal. What you could is both share your calendars so that both of you can read each other's calendar.
If you want both to have read-write access to a calendar you will need to use third party software or set up a Google calendar where both of you have read-write access to the calendar.

  • Can two users on the same Mac sync contacts by using the same Apple ID in the iCloud settings?

Can two users on the same Mac sync contacts by using the same Apple ID in the iCloud settings?

    Hi Barney,
That's exactly what I want. I have a personal user and a business user on my MacBook Pro. I want both users to have the same contacts so if I add a contact while I'm logged into my personal user, it will show up when I'm logged into my business user. I want both contacts books to be exactly the same; like you said. So, I used my business user AppleID when I enabled iCloud for my personal user and I enabled iCloud for my business user with that Apple ID as well. For my personal user, I selected Contacts and Calendars to sync with iCloud. For my business user, I selected everything to sync with iCloud. The problem is... it didn't change anything. I restarted my computer to see if that would do anything but nothing happened. I'm not super savvy with Apple products, so maybe I'm completely confused.
    Hi Xeni,
Thank you for your response, as well.

  • Can't sync calendar, contacts, etc. in Outlook 2007

I just got a new computer and I can't figure out how to get it to sync my calendar and contacts to Outlook.  I have my Outlook configured to send and receive my Yahoo mail.  It was working fine until I download the Desktop Manager software.  At that point, I could no longer send or receive email, so I uninstalled it.  Can someone help me figure out how to sync the rest of my applications without killing my email?
    Thanks, Katherine
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The following steps will help you to configure synchronization -
Connect your device using Desktop Manager and click on Synchronization
From the menu on the left click Synchronization under Configuration
Again click Synchronization button on the right which will give you option to Select Device Application that you want to synchronize
Put the check mark and you'll get a prompt to Select Desktop Application
Highlight the application name and click next button
Under Synchronization Option you get Direction of Synchronization
Check the radio button with Two way sync
Note: above mentioned steps are explained as per Desltop Manager 4.5
    Example: Synchronize addressbook -
Connect you HH with your desktop Manager in your PC. If you device is set to wireless sync then you need to turn off wireless synchronization. To do so go to Address Book -> click Menu -> Options -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes.
Click on the Synchronize button on Desktop Manager -> Click on Configuration Tab then click on Configure Synchronization -> Click on Choose under Address Book (on the right side of the pop up window) -> Click on you organizer apps (like, MS outlook, Lotus notes etc) -> Select desired apps -> select Synchronization radio button and click OK twice go back to Synchronize tab ->click on Synchronize Now.

  • Maintain and sync calendar on two iphones

I have an 2 iphones and would like a simple way of maintaining a synced calendar (not contacts) between the two using the iphone ios calendar.  I do not have mobile me and would rather not have to enable that service. Also, I would rather not maintain a calendar online with Yahoo, Google, etc. I would rather maintain it on the iphone itself from one to the other.  Are there any app store apps or a way that someone can recommend to do this.
Just the calendar. Thanks in advance

You either sync the calendars on both devices over the air with an account such as MobileMe or Gmail, or you manually sync the calendars on each device direct with a supported calendar app on your computer via the iTunes sync process.
