I think there is a contradiction in your requirements. You want two people to share an account and you don't want either to interfere with the other.
The short and simple answer is to use IMAP to connect to the mail server. If your current email provider doesn't offer IMAP, find another that does. This is old technology already and it's disgraceful that some email providers haven't yet put it in place.
IMAP means that your messages are stored on the server and both of you will see exactly the same set of messages. And therein lies the contradiction; you will both see changes made by the other so you are inherently interfering with one another.
Caveats: some providers may not permit you both to access the account concurrently, and even if they do, things may become interesting if you both choose to work on the same message simultaneously.
Note that all of this is about email servers and protocols; your choice of Thunderbird as your email client has little bearing on the situation.

You can use the same apple id for two separate phoones to share apps/music, however you would need a separate apple id for both phone for imessage/facetime/icloud. -

Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads

The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). How can I make different catalogs from the same image where that image has been changed in some way between the catalogs. For instance if I wanted to have a catalogs for cropped images and have 3 catalogs one for 4x6 , 5x7 and 8x10 cropping. When I tried this , if I changed a file in one catalog that same image in the other would change also.
Do not confuse the creation of the crops and the display in collections per crop ratio.
Of course one virtual copy (VC) per crop ratio is needed. If the same image should be cropped in all 3 mentioned ratios there would be 3 VCs.
The OP asked how to have/see a set of same-crop-ratios.
After having created the virtual copies for whatever crop ratio he wants, the way to display this result in the fashion asked for is via smart collections, provided they can be found. Without a plugin the naming of the VC with the crop ratio applied is a straight way to achieve that.
IF the wish is to get new crops automatically added. (See my answers 2+3)
IF the wish is to creat static collections per crop ratio for a certain set of images, I'd go as follows:
1. Select all images you want to have cropped in that way,.
2. With this selection click on the + to add another collection and fill the dialog box like this:
Then navigate into this newly created selection and perform the 4x6 crop - according to taste individually or by synchronizing the first crop.

I strongly suggest not doing this. This can lead to a 90 day disabling of one account if you download past purchases with another. So this is not a good thing to be doing.
For anything else you can sign in & out, but its still not very practical. iOs was just not designed as a multiuser device. -

Yes, you can delete your account from settings > iCloud. Your data will be stored in your personal account (simply choose to delete all information from your iPad when prompted). Then make a new one (again, settings > iCloud) making an account for your class. When you are done in the classroom, delete the iCloud account again and login with your personal account When prompted, always delete the information.

Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchased the app.

I want to create one Crystal Reports XI report to display several records coming from one table, but I need different display format for different records from that one table.
There is a field RecordType and based on that value, the record will be displayed differently on the report page.
Can I have several sections in the report and to define different SQL query in each of them?
Example of the report I need to see on paper:

In Cognos ReportNet, I defined 2 Queries (SQL statements) and I just placed them in the report one below the other. Query_1 returns 1 record where RecordType value =1. Query_2 returns 5 records where RecordType value =2 and etc. So each record "section" displays record in the way I want it.

HoolieI'm currently syncing three iPods to the same library. iTunes will recognize each iPod as a unique device. My preferred method of managing my iPods is "Sync Selected Playlists". This allows me the convinience of syncing (and all my ratings, playcounts and last played sync) while still being able to control what goes on each iPod. You can set your preferences for each iPod. You could managage one manually and sync the other. Whatever works best for you.

How do I add the Address for 2 different PARTIES to the same complex folder
I have a PARTY table and an INTERESTED PARTY table and both contain an ADD_ID from the ADDRESS table.
I created a complex folder with both PARTY.ADD_ID and INT_PARTY.ADD_ID and I want to add the Address info for each each to the folder.
I am only prompted to CHOSE A JOIN when adding the first ADDRESS items, but not for the second.

Using Discoverer Admin 9i, I had already created the Complex folder and was dragging items from the simple ADDRESS folder into it.
Because the simple Address folder is joined to so many other folders being used by my complex folder, I was prompted to chose which join I was referring to - so I selected ADDRESS->PARTY.
Then I tried dragging the same set of address items into the same complex folder again. I expected it to ask me to chose another join (ADDRESS->INTERESTED PARTY) - but it didn't. It assumes I'm still referring to the PARTY join, but I'm not.
I even tried bringing the ADDRESS table in from the database twice (like you would do in an Access query).
I joined ADDRESS->PARTY and ADDRESS1->INTERESTED PARTY, but Discoverer got hung up on that so I ditched that idea.
I will look into your suggestion of manually entering the appropriate SQL.
