Can u back up iTunes using some one else's iphone with there information still in the phone without getting erased?
my husband accidently washed his iphone4. His friend lent my husband his iphone4 so he can retrieve his contacts and photo's and also back them up on icloud cos it wasn't turned on. When my husband put his sim card into his friend's phone and turned it on, all his friend's info is on the phone. Would my husband be able to connect to itunes without his friend loosing all is stuff on his iphone? My husband is using a different phone and would like to get his contacts back.

A SIM card stores no personal data, it is merely account information for connecting to the carrier network.
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service. If the user has failed to do this and the phone will not boot, the data is lost.

You can do this using Quicktime Pro 7:
Open MOV file in QT Pro (QT 7.6.6)
Window -> Show Movie Properties
select "Video Track"
select "Visual Settings" from lower window
check "Preserve Aspect Ratio"
Click on appropriate rotation icon (MOV rotates!)
Click back on the open MOV in Player Window
FILE -> Save

Also, MPEG Streamclip can rotate video while maintaining the aspect ratio as well as the interlacing when converting to DV, which is what iMovie prefers as an input:

TV shows will only appear in the cloud if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded from the store (you can't add them yourself), in which case they will appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app for re-downloading. But they will only appear there if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded, and then only as long as the TV company leaves them in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items).

I have iphone5s and there is some problem about my iphone. I turn off the phone and then I turn on. After I turned on, It showed the page of apple signal and then the page of loading. It used long time to show the loading page. Then it was back to page of apple and then loading page again many times. What happen with it? And what should I do?
Did you already try to reset the phone again by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

To delete the iCloud account without losing the data, start by saving your photo stream photos to the camera roll. Next, if you're syncing notes with iCloud, open each note and email it to yourself. You will have to copy and paste the text from the email into new notes. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password (if using iOS 7) and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. A while a go I lost access to one of my Skype accounts.
When I search my email address in skype search that account appears to be associated with my email. But When I try to recover the password the account is not in the list of associated accounts with my email.
More over I know that that account becomes online and offline regularly.

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device. -

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

Ok, you should generally only get this when you are converting your ID to an iTS account for the first time.
Sign into iTunes with your Apple ID and you should get this.... IRC once you agree or accept it's now an iTS account and you wont get that again. -

I upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and now I can't back up iTunes library to disc. In previous versions it was in file>library>backup to disc. In iTunes 10.5 that is gone!
Some of us have our enture itunes library backed up on CD/DVD - what a waste of time and effort as now presumably you can't use these discs to restore itunes on a new computer! WHY NOT APPLE?
Very unimpressed with itunes 10.5/ios5 - wifi tracking apps have been removed from the store (and won't function in ios5), it's impossible to sync photos (I have spent a whole day trying to sync my iphone 3GS with itines 10.5) to no avail and now, no CD backup facility.
I have never had problems with apple before - I was thinking of upgrading my whole system from PC to Mac but now I am doubtful - if this is typical of apple software, I will stay with windows! -

Check your iTunes Store Purchase History (and that of any other AppleIDs which may have your CC linked... Partner / Child / Old AppleID accounts). Use iTunes Store & Mac App Store: Seeing your Purchase History and Order Numbers and a computer with iTunes installed (you can't see this info through the iTunes or App Store Apps on an iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch).
If the purchases are there in the Purchase History and you or a family member recognise them then it's up to you if you request a refund for accidental purchases via Email using http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ or accept the charges.
If however you find them but know it's not something you or someone else authorised to use the AppleID have bought, use the iForgot Website to reset your password, then go to the AppleID Website, sign in to Manage Your Apple ID then go to the Password and Security link on the left to change Security Questions then call AppleCare (0844 209 0611) to speak to iTunes Store Fraud as someone has hacked your AppleID. If you can find no record of the amounts which have come off the CC, call the Bank or Credit Card company and have them block the card and issue a new one as the details have been registered with another AppleID without your knowledge, THEN get in touch with AppleCare and speak to iTunes Store Fraud for a refund of the fraudulent purchases. -
Hi, using iphoto 6, i suddenly lost albums: they are still in the directory, but no pictures in some albums.Using finder, I can locate the pictures and even get preview. But impossible to import them. Anyone can help? thanks
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -
