interface of Integration Directory and Java are same as i am new to XI and familiar with java, it would be helopful if i found the difference between interface between java interface and XI interface

1)wthat is meant by XI?
A) XI is nothing but Exchange Infrastructure.
2)What does it do?
A)It is middle ware tool like webmethods and tibco,XI is a middle tool ware tool provided by SAP.
   XI will gives an advantage to exchange the data between two systems.The System might be A2A or B2B.A2A is nothing but Application to Application and B2B is nothing but Business to Business.
EX:System A--XI--
>System B.

See the abvoe example I have two system both these system might be sap to sap or sap to non sap applications.
I have a situation where want to send data from System A to System B..I need one middle ware tool such way that it will accept the system A data and undestand the data and it could get transfer to System B.
    Sucha situation we need middle ware tool like xi and for sending the system A data to System B though XI we need one interface where it can have both sender data and receiver data.
How a Interface looks,
System A contines two fileds and I want to send these data to System B

So the above information can be hold one interface and it will transfered to System B.

My ASA5540 8.2.4(4) can not monitor and failover on certain interfaces

the story is
we configure the
monitor interface inside
monitor interface outside
monitor interface partner
and save configue
but when i show run monitor-interface
the configure do not show the 3 montitor interfaces, it only show other monitor interfaces,which can failover , but not the above 3 interfaces, however they are all showed interface monitor in the ASDM configure

No value mapping in Integration Directory, but they are in the cache

Hi,
I recently got acquainted with the fabulous world of value mappings in PI. Until now, FixValues did the trick for me, but now I have to modify the errors in someone else's work.
I read this article:

and a bunch of other help.sap.com stuff and I still don't get a very specific thing in our system. When I check the cache from the runtime workbench, the values, agencies and what have you are all ok. However, when I go to Integration Directory, disregarding the fact that I don't have any values on the search helps for Agency and Scheme, which is quite weird, when I put the correct Agencies and Schemes, I don't get any value displayed, just blanks.
Why does this happen? Is it something wrong in the PI configuration or something that I don't see any value mapping there, altough they are in the cache?

1. Create Value Mapping directly in ID (this cannot be seen in RWB, it can be only seen in ID)
*Just a corection we can see the value mappings created in Integration directory in RWB in cache monitoring.*
Just follow these steps to refresh your cache. you will no longer be able to see deleted Val mappings and newly created entries will also shown immediately.
1) Go to integration builder -- > Administration --> click on Runtime tab --> cache overview
You will find 2 things over there :
Value Mapping Group Cache
Value Mapping Value Cache
Refresh both of them. I hope it will work as it always work for me :).

We are contemplating a Mac for a family Christmas gift -we currently use a windows based laptop. Do the two systems interface? If a child starts his homework on the pc - can he finish it on the Mac? Can they both be hooked up to the same printer?

How can I use the color adjustments interface that shows up for camera raw on other files types? The HLS controls had the secondary color adjustments (6 colors instead of the 3). Plus, it had same vibrancy and a better Curves interface. Yesterday was the first time I imported raw into Photoshop CS5 and I got that really cool interface. What is that? Can I use that on other file formats?

Actually I am using the Tradional Chinese Version, when I try to edit the jpg file with camera raw, the system shows that there is no camera raw plug-in. The cmaera raw never work.

Sun x4170 ILOM - Can't get to the web interface 2 days after password reset

Just bought a used x4170. I was able to get iLOM on the network and get to the web interface logon screen after setting the IP for it.
I tried logging on but the password was not given to me. So I connected to the serial interface (rj45) from another machine and used putty to connect. Got to the preboot point and was able to reset the password to default, Rebooted.
I was then able to log into iLOM. That was 2 days ago. Today for some reason, I can't get into iLOM. It pings but I can't get to the web interface. I get the IE error "cannot connect" or unable to connect or something like that.
I'm completely new to this brand of server so consider me completely ignorant on all aspects of the hardware.......lol

By default, you connect to the server’s service processor (SP) using the out-of-band network management port (NET MGT). The ILOM sideband management feature enables you to select either the NET MGT port or one of the server’s Gigabit Ethernet ports (NET 0, 1, 2, 3), which are in-band ports, to send and receive ILOM commands to and from the server SP. In-band ports are also called sideband ports.

Using Pro Logic X to record. I have several tracks and I'm trying to record an audio track. I have the mic connect to Avalon 737 then into apollo interface. When I record all track are being recorded into that track. I can't just get the audio to record.

Thanks for responding. Everything seems to work right except for the when I plug into the 737. Ok let me see if I can be more clear. I had this set up done with two representatives of Neumann, and DBox. Here it is I hope this helps. 32 Channel snake (24 Inputs 8 outputs) Channels 1-8 from snake to my Octopre for Drums. From Octropre output quarter inch lines into the Apollo 2, quarter inch input. This is so that the Apollo 2 is taking the drum tracks. Snake Channel 9-12 into Apollo 1 channels 1-4 xlr. Snake Channel 13-16 into Apollo 2 Channels 1-4 xlr. Snake Channel 17 into the 737, output of 737 into Channel 5 of the Apollo 1 quarter inch.
Ok The Dbox. Sum output L&R into channel input 7&8 of Apollo 1. Apollo 1 output channels 1-8 into summing input channel 1-8 of Dbox. Apollo 1 main L&R going to main analog input L&R of Dbox. Spid out to DAW input of Dbox. I have both ADAT of both Apollos connected by optical wire. Also have port 2 of Apollo 1 into port 1 of Apollo 2 connected by Firewire. Let me know. In order to be able to submit apps to the App Store, you need these things:
1. An Apple ID
2. Join the Mac developer program ($99) https://developer.apple.com/programs/mac/
Once you've got these, you're free to submit your created applications to the App Store. It should walk you through the process

Can anyone explain the odd behaviour of the CVI Operator Interface?

This is probably really related to CVI in general, but I think people should be aware of this behaviour. If tracing is enabled and a program executing, moving the mouse cursor over the Menu bar area of the Operator Interface program increases the execution of the test program dramatically. Anywhere else slows it down! Could this have any effect during critical test runs? Is there a way to force the fast execution. (i.e. to disable whatever message processing is going on when the mouse cursor is over the rest of the window?)

You did not mention what is the CVI operator interface that you are using. In the Simple CVI OI, which is located at \Examples\OperatorInterfaces, the behavior you mentioned may occur.
It is mainly because it uses a CVI timer to poll UIMessages, and the Timer Control runs in the same thread as the User Interface (CVI Panels). Because they both run in the same thread, when you move your mouse Windows handles the mouse move and repaint any window if necessary. While doing this, it stops all the other tasks that is running in the same thread, which means, the timer stops to tick and UIMessages are not handled for some time. In addition, the TestStand Engine executes synchronously with UIMessage handling, so if msg
s are not handled the Engine pauses the execution.
Finally, there is an example that ships with CVI under
\Samples\Toolbox\AsyncDem.prj that shows how to use asynchronous timers. In other words, a timer that runs in a different thread different than User Interface. I also modified the Simple CVI OI to use this asynchronous timer, check the attached zip file.

Can't use certain filters- "problem with the filter module interface"

I frequently use the BPelt Flatten and Multifill plugins and they have always worked perfectly until today. Now I get the following error: "Could not complete the [Multifill/Flatten] command because of a problem with the filter module interface."
I use Photoshop CS6 Extended with the Creative Cloud membership, and just recently updated to version 13.1.1 x64. I believe this may be related, as the plugins worked before the update and nothing else has changed. Any recommendations on how to fix this? Is it possible to undo the update?

Usually this means a bug in the third party plugin that you are using.
