Go to Settings > General > About and see what iOS version you are running. If it is lower than 5, you won't find the software update button. It was added when iOS 5 came out. The current iOS is 5.1.1. To update to the current OS, you'll need to connect to the computer you sync with (this is important - do not connect to a computer you do not sync with as you will lose you apps) and update the software in iTunes. Once you have updated to the 5.1.1, the software update button will be in Settings going forward. Make sure you have a lot of time. Updating from below 5 to 5 or higher is a somewhat lengthy process.

I cannot answer regarding compatibility, but there is no download available for PSE6 if you would need one for this. You might be able to copy the installation files from a disk to some other removable media that the machine accepts. Upgrading to PSE7 would not be possible mainly because Adobe does not sell older versions of their software.

Why does itune keep telling me it could not establish a connection with the software update server

i have an iphone 3g running on 3.1.3 firmware and every time i plug into my pc running windows 7 it says that it is contacting the software update sever then after about ten seconds it says that update failed could not establish a connection with the server i have tried to disable my firewalls completely and it seems that nothing works nothing is wrong with the iphone it sync's properly and works fine someone plz help me so i can update

For the second time I tried upgrading my iPhone 5S to the latest software, the iOS 8.1.3, but as I expected, it failed. The process stops and my phone gets stuck on the same "software upgrade screen" without proceeding. The first time this happened I had to contact the iDoctor/Apple Support to get some help. However I was told there was nothing they could do, so, as my phone was still in warranty, they gave me a new one. I tried reseting,'backuping', restoring and syncing, but none of that helped. I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you can help, because I am still with a non-working cellphone. Thank you,

If this is the second iPhone that does that, visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store instead of contacting Apple Support over the phone. They can update the phone for you, just to make sure that your backup data or iTunes on your computer has nothing to do with that.

I have been looking all over this forum and couldn't find an answer to my question, so I decided to post it myself.
Recently I bought a laptop with windows vista installed on it, and my creative zen vision M 30gb software stopped working. After ignoring this problem for a month, I thought creative might have already came up with a solution. I downloaded this new software package; Creative ZENcast Organizer .04.06 Suite. When I tried to install the software, I received an error, stating that my windows media player wasn't up to date. After double checking my windows media player updates, I concluded that my windows media player was up to date. Still I can't install this new software. Looks like creative is living up to its BAD reputation over and over again. Any help?

I have the new airport express. I have a two year old airport extreme. I downloaded the airport software update today and the internet access is not connecting. I can access the internet on other networks, but not my own. In the airport utilities my airport express lists ,connection good'. The airport extreme, even though it has the green connection dot lit, does not have any verbage giving connection status.

Normally the best way to create an add is to to do it and to export it as PDF/X-4.
From Photoshop you can save as PDF, choose either the standard as the printer asks for or save as PDF/X-4.
Never use in any case EPS.
If the add contains vectors and/or fonts PDF is the best file type.
If no text or vectors are used you could use JPG with high compression quality, tiff or (not in your case) psd.
Take care that
Your file is not flattened to background, so all layers are alive, otherwise fonts will be rasterized.
You file should have a resolution in minimum between 240 and 300 ppi (not dpi)
With the text: is it pure black or is it 4c-black? K-Black is easier to accomplish in InDesign.
Don't make small elements in 4c.

Connect your USB cable to your computer but not to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until step 3.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button down, connect the USB cable to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen. When this screen appears, you can release the Home button:
Note: If the image of a battery appears, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again. If you don't see the Connect to iTunes screen, try these steps 1 through 4 again.
iTunes should automatically open and display the following message:
"iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."Note: If iTunes not open after two minutes, please open iTunes yourself.
Use iTunes to restore the device.

Can't open iPhoto with latest software update

I'm running iPhoto 11 on my Mac using OSX 10.9.1 On Dec.12th I updated the iPhoto software to the latest version. When I try to open iPhoto on my Mac I get an alert box saying that I must upgrade to the latest version of iPhoto or I can't open my library.I've rechecked the latest iPhoto software and it says that it's installed. Any ideas ?

As Larry has already pointed out if you had iPhoto 7 before the upgrade you'll need download the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1, launch it and run it on your iPhoto library. It will be located in your Applications/Utilities folder. Then iPhoto 9.5.1 will be able to open and use your library.

Can I do this with the Push Registry?

I need to write a midlet that will listen for an incoming message from the comm port on a Motorola i355 iden phone. I don`t care if the midlet is open or closed when the message comes in. Whichever would be fastest would be best. I'm using the phone to process a message and send another message back out through the comm port to a connected machine. I also don't have control over the message that is coming from the machine that the phone will be connected to. This will only be my 2nd J2ME application so I'm very new at this.
I have seen plenty of examples of using the push registry to do this for a socket and datagram (I don`t even know what a datagram is), but nothing for use with a comm connection. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Airport Extreme Base Station has a USB port which I read you can plug a printer into. My question is: Can I plug a USB hub into this port and access all devices plugged into the hub wirelessly?
Specifically, I have a printer, scanner, external hard drive and want to access them wirelessly from a MacBook.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The USB port on the square 802.11b/g/n AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) supports ONLY printers and hard drives. Therefore you could connect a USB hub and connect your USB hard drive and printer.
The USB port on the earlier round 802.11b/g AEBS supports ONLY a single compatible printer.
