Can we call this a "Good support"?

Hi.
If you go to this link...
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_detail.php?UID=434&kind=1
As ya know 875P Neo download web page.. you 'll find an ADI sound driver.. for ICH5, dated : 2004/1/8, and its version -they said- 5.12.01.3620. The problem is: if you download this huge installation file >15MB and you 'r using dial up! ah cool!..
By the way, this file is just an old version, 5.12.1.3538, dated : 12/19/2002 (ehm, not 2004)..
I have MSI mainboard and I am using now a driver from XXXX web site, I downloaded it from their web site because it is a newer version than MSI's one, and fixed some bugs.
What about Promise (RAID) driver version? Intel Inf? Network drivers, etc.. Need some updated driver please.
Sorry, but it is the truth.
EDITED.

The real drivers are supplied to our OEMs by sending them an email conatining release notes for them in an encrypted Zip-file.
They then need a password to FTP them from our FTP site.
Any normal individual (i.e. end user) coming to ADI direct should gte a standard reply telling him to go to the Mobo manufacturer or PC supplier along with some links .
Here is an example that I concocted as an MSWord autotext so I just type the word "sound" and this is inserted :
Sound Cards and Modem Information
Analog Devices does not manufacture sound or modem cards. Many sound cards use chipsets from Analog Devices in their designs.
Drivers are often customized to work with specific PCs or motherboard platform. Please contact the manufacturer of the PC for technical assistance. For technical assistance on a specific sound card, please contact the manufacturer of the card. http://forms.analog.com/Form_Pages/soundMAX/soundMAXtechSupport.html
may help.
Other sources you can check:
* You can visit the FCC's web site and use the search engine to see who manufactured the card.
* You may also be able to locate & download drivers for these cards at the following web site: http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/
* You may want to try http://www.danworld.com/ for hotlinks to sound cards/modems
* or   http://www.windrivers.com  .
* http://www.driverguide.com  is extremely good  You have to register (once) but it is very useful and free. Copyright 1995- 2003 Analog Devices, Inc. All rights reserved.

  • "You can't call this number on Skype right now" er...

    Hello,
I've a 7$ Skype Credit lying in my account and yet, when I try to call a Belgium mobile phone, I get an error failing my call to that number. I read all the forum posts and yet, I couldn't understand why Skype isn't letting me talk to a Belgium phone.
The error is vague and equally frustrating is that I didn't see anywhere a dedicated customer service contact anywhere on Skype site. Can someone please help me understand this error.

  • Can LabVIEW call a DLL built with VS(2005) C++ with /CLR and Without an Entry Point

My project requires me to convert a C++ program to a DLL and having it called by LabVIEW. Due to the complexity of this C++ program (converted from fortran using f2c -C++ option), it cannot be compiled without using /clr option.  I did build the application standalone (/clr), and it functioned fine.  When I build it into DLL using VS2005, I was forced to use No Entry point option and without using DllMain in the C++ code. Eventually the DLL was built without error.  But after I call it from LabVIEW, I was not getting calculated results as expected.  I added a testing function to the C++ code of the DLL and just try to modify a parameter, it will not, but only return the input numbers.  I was passing data by pointer and not by value, so I expect this parameter output be modified.  I suspect that the DLL didnt get executed at all as it has no entry point specified.
Am I on the right track to approach this task, or I am heading to totally wrong direction here?   I believe due to the fact that my C++ was from f2c and use vsf2c.lib and so on, the code is managed code, so that a regular DLL cannot be built from it with an entry point. How can LabVIEW call such a DLL? Am I right on that?  I really need your advice here for a right approach to this problem and possible implementation "watch outs"...Thanks!
    Bryan

Hi...Finally I was able to compile my code with an entry point defined and without using /clr.  I can also call this DLL from LV and got back a variable from a little test function added to the DLL.  But the function that was used for my main application in the DLL crashed LV and I got a pop up box from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error! "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way, please contact the application's support team for more information".  In Visual Studio I also got the following message: (I eliminated most of the "No symbols loaded" messages that are not errors but just info.)  I would apprciate if someone can take to look with your more "experienced eyes", many thanks! Bryan.

  • I looked up serial number in About This Mac and Support site says it isn't

I can't find my Apple Care plan or read the bottom of the computer but I looked up the serial number on my iMac under About This Mac. I copied and pasted it into the box to get a call for technical support and I get a message saying it is not the right number. Now what? How can I call them to get support without the number?

A valid Apple product serial number is eleven characters long, does not contain the letters I or O—though the numerals 1 and 0 are valid characters—contains the numeral 0 though 9 in the third position and the numeric string 01 through 52 in the fourth and fifth positions.
On your model, it's found screened beneath a barcode on the underside of your foot, or can be found as you were instructed using About This Mac or using the System Profiler application. If your logic board has been replaced and is not the original unit installed at the time of manufacture, your logic board may not have the serial number embedded in firmware. In that case, it is not available to display using the About This Mac dialog or the System Profile application.
The most reliable source of such information is typically the number screened on, inscribed or affixed by label to your Apple product.

  • How can i call a DLL file from labview?

Iam using a sensoray 2601 module. It is given as DLL file(S2600.DLL).How can i call this function from LabVIEW?
Please Mark the solution as accepted if your problem is solved and donate kudoes

As far as I can tell problems might occur with the call library function node if the the DLL from visual basic is actually an ActiveX dll if that is the case it seems calling the dll by using the Invoke node is the way to go.

I checked some documents and found nothing...if it's possible that it can call a REST web service using JAVAScript code, I mean I can program some code to call this web service ?

    Hi Jesse,
You can do GET, PUT and POST using FormCalc, so you should be able to access a REST web service.
