Can we change file name in the excel report bursting in infoview

Hi,
I have created a publication with email destination and excel format in infoview. By default there are some place holders which can be used to give report name during bursting process but I want to customize report name like I want to append state variable value in the report name so that each recipient should get report which has reportname_state.xls.
Did anyone came across this situation. Please help me.

You cannot change thats placeholders you must use them or use a fixed name...
IYou must try in the body of the email theres some other additional plaeholders that maybe you can use in this case.

    Hello,
Have you checked if a HTTP header "Content-disposition" is returned ?
You can use ieHTTPHEaders for IE

  • Changing file names in the Information Pane

Why doesn't changing the names of photographs in the Information Pane also change the name of the files in the iPhoto Library folder??
If I import photos direct from my camera, the photos are stored with generic file names (like DSC_006) in the Original Folder and the Data folder in iPhoto Library folder. Once stored there, I understand that if you move, delete or "rename" any of those files "in the Finder" that iPhoto may not thereafter be able to see them.
But I don't understand why if you change those file names in the Information Pane from within the iPhoto application, why the actual file names in the Original and Data folder aren't correspondingly changed.
I would prefer to eliminate the generic file names and presently the only way that I can do that is to simply transfer the photos from the memory cards, change the file names and then import the files into iPhoto.
This seems like an unnecessary step.
    Am I missing something here?

If you want the capability of editing the original file names they you'll need to upgrade to a more professional application like iView MediaPro. Aperture doesn't let you change the original file names from within the application.
If you need to the use file outside iPhoto with the same name as the Title in iPhoto then you can do just as PhillyPhan pointed out, export to the Desktop using the User Title option.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Changing file names in the Finder

    Hi,
Is there a way to change the names of video files in the Finder then relink them in FCPX? I have some files that I imported from my camera. Unfortunately, the camera's date was incorrect. I'd like to change the file names via the Finder to the correct dates, then relink them to the associated projects in Final Cut Pro X. However, this doesn't seem possible: when I relaunch FCPX, the "new" files appear alongside the old files in the event library and there doesn't seem to be a way to relink them.
    thanks,
    fh

You can't relink files in FCPX. Best way to rename clips is within FCPX itself.
    final
Batch rename clips using a naming preset
    1. In the Event Browser, select the clips you want to rename.
    2. To open the Info inspector, click the Inspector button in the toolbar (shown below), and click the Info button at the top of the pane that appears.
    3. Choose Apply Custom Name from the Action pop-up menu          and choose a naming preset from the submenu.
The clips selected in the Event Browser are renamed.

  • Can not change file names in finder

Several times over the past week I have not been able to change existing file names in Finder. The mouse moves normally and can highlight the name, but the keyboard instructions, including "delete" or typing, does not result in any response. All other programs continue to function normally.
Restarting the computer solved the issue for a while, but it happened again.
Reading over the previous posts, none of them apply (I do not have those programs).
Any idea why this happens and how do I fix it?

This same thing happens occasionally (or maybe rarely is a better word) for different users here at my work.
I haven't had the problem myself, and thought it was gone now when everyone is running Mac OS 10.4.7 (we ran 10.4.5 just recently) but a user just got the problem 5 minutes ago. All apps except Finder respond to keystrokes.
Relaunching the Finder using "Force Quit..." from the Apple solves it, but I guess sooner or later the problem will come back.
Would be great to know what's causing it.

  • Can't change file names in finder

I can highlight a file or folder name in the finder but when I try to type nothing happens. Also I can't type anything in the search section in the upper right corner of finder windows.
All else seems to be working fine.
This happened after I installed Photoshop Elements 4.0

    No problems since

  • Can't change file names

Since upgrade, I cannot change the names of my files as icons. I hold the button down for quite a while and occasionally it will let me, but this is rare.
    Any ideas as to why?

No, it isn't gone, but I've always found it a wee bit tricky. To me the fastest easiest way is to click the icon once to select the file/folder, then move your hand off the mouse and hit the Return key. The name is then immediately editable, and your hands are both on the keyboard to begin typing.

  • How do I reconnect media after changing file name?

The original file name is 1001.WAV I changed it to Take1 . How do I relocate the files? I use Pluraleyes to sync all my files.
    Cheers, Greg

Change it back.  NEVER change file names in the Finder level if the media is in an FCP project.  Change it BEFORE you import it into FCP...or change the name IN FCP.  What you did was bad bad wrong wrong. Expecially since you already did things like sync it up with pluraleyes.
Change it back.  Then change the name in FCP.

  • Changing of the physical file name of the file after archiving

    Hi all,
We are in process of archiving  and  completed the process successfully and archived to o:\PRODSID\<filename>.
When refresh   is happening from Prod to Quality   the archived data will come as O:\PRODSID\<filename> and the archived files will not be accessible since quality system  is not able to find the path with O:\PRODSID\<filename>.
Is there anyway i can change the physical file name  of the archived files to correct path O:\QUALITYSID\<filename>, i need to change only the SID  only    from PRD to QUALITY.
    Thanks,
    Subhash.G

    Hi Subash,
Do you want change the Physical File name or the Path from PROD to SID.
Path :- in the transaction called FILE, double click on Logical Path Definition , select the Logical File and double click on "Assignment on Physical Path to Logical Path" and you can change FILENAME also here
    Thanks,

  • Programaticly changing the (suggested only) file name in the save prompt when signing a document?

When you sign a document in Adobe X (or XI), the system says it needs to save the file first.   Is there some way to change the (suggested only) file name to a different value for that save?
Right now, people open a blank form - lets call it formX.pdf.   They fill it in and sign it.  The suggested file name for the save is FormX.pdf.   I can generate a unique file name which i'd like to put in place of the suggested default...

AFAIK, you can't do it with code. Your best option might be to use a form field to show a message to the user when they sign the document with that information.

  • Is it possible to change file name policy in the JRE cache folder?

We are getting calls from our clients complaining of slowdowns in loading our Java applet. The reason is a virusscanner. If a virusscanner is in the middle, it can drastically slow down the download process, and therefore cause some high delay before the user can work on the our product as expected.
On this csutomer's side, it may take up to 10 min (the first time it is ran) instead of 1 min. JRE 1.6 is in use.
They dont want to exclude from antivirus scan all files from Sun\Java\Deployment\cache folder.
    Question:
Is it possible to change file name policy in the JRE cache to make it less unique?
    Thanks,

I suggest you solve the real problem - big files.
    There are two scenarios
    1. Initial download
    2. Updates.
The first takes as long as it takes. No way around it.
The second means that you can't use one jar. Otherwise every single update requires downloading the entire application every time. Multiple jars means only the one that changed is downloaded.

"You don't, they only appear in open file dialogs and in tool panels like in iMovie, iPhoto.
To view your media, you open the app that you use to manage that type of media." this on the other hand was zero help
What you did doesn't show the Media Browser. It just shows the folders where your media is stored. You may be correct that was all that cobacc wanted.
The Media Browser shows the actual media in thumbnails so that you can preview the media.
However, neither requires any Sharing services to be enabled.

  • When someone other than myself downloads an image from my web album, a dynamically generated file name replaces the original file name.  How I can prevent the original file name being replaced during the downloading process?

When someone other than myself downloads an image from my web album, a dynamically generated file name replaces the original file name.  How I can prevent the file name being changed during this downloading process?

    Hi Glenyse,
    Here are my steps.
    1.  I upload multiple image (jpg) files onto my photo album.
    2.  I select the "sharing" by email option for this album.
    3.  I enter the recipient's email address.
    4.  The recipient receives my message and clicks on the link.
    5.  The recipient accesses my photo album and clicks on one of the images.
    6.  The image opens up to its own screen.
    7.  The recipient selects the "download" and then save file option.
Here is the part I do not understand.  For some reason, during this "download" process, the original name which I have given to the file is replaced by different name.  So I was hoping that someone knows how to prevent the file name from being changed during the "download and save" process.
Much appreciated if you can help me find a solution to this problem.
