Can we configure SAP server installed in RHEL in windows sapmmc?

Can we configure SAP server installed in RHEL in windows sapmmc(Which is also sap server with same version and same DB)?
I have tried to configure using help from previous post in SCN ( SAP MMC in one server to control the entrie landscape ) but it is not working...  As picture shown below after entering the details am clicking on add but nothing is happening...
Scenario is I have installed 4 VM's with SAP installed in all (out of it 3 linux and 1 windows) & all communicating well and they are in same Network/Landscape & I can configure/manage/logon all servers in host GUI... But If I shutdown my VM or a Laptop...  Every time I have to start all the servers... by starting lsnrctl, DB, sap for all the servers,
Is there any chance to configure sap in windows sapmmc...???
Kindly suggest the process step by step...
Thanks in advance...

Hi Yüksel
Thank you for the reply It helped me to configure but i struck in some place.. Dispatcher is getting stopped... I tried to add 3 different sap servers in sapmmc and tried to start.. Three are getting same errors(Guess same error)
After your suggestion i was able to configure and start SIDadm of host but immediately or after 30sec Dispatcher gets stopped tried to find out some solutions but didnt worked... But i was able to start from there servers manually in linux way startsap, but not in SAPMMC way...
Could you or please help me in solving trace given below...

As I wrote, you can use any SNC provider. Especially Secude would be interesting, as it is available on all platforms.

This is a completely different approach: In the stuff I was writing to you before I was assuming that IIS would do the authentication. The other approach is that SAP Portal does it. This also works - EP 5.0 should be fine - but it works completely different. E.g. you doesn't need a trusted connection for SSO with MYSAPSSO2 ticket.

This DLL is not allowed to be exported into some countries because it contains strong cryptography. You usually get it via your local SAP subsiduary.

Did you find a MYSAPSSO2 cookie in the request?

    Hi,
Take a look at the admin guide (Page 75, 119, 159):

If you installed a firewall on the license service computer, make sure that the firewall is not set to port 30000; otherwise, the license service cannot work.
If you are using Port X, make sure that you open Port X and Port (X+1) in the firewall. For example, if you are using port 10000, make sure to also open port 10001.
The default communication port is 1143.
The default port of the SAP Business One license server is 30000 for license communication and 30001 for the license naming service

  • How can I configure Lion server to accept inbound VPN (L2TP) connections while connected as client to another vpn service?

    I have what I believe to be a unique need;
I have a MacPro (1,1) running Lion with Server app.
I require that this particular machine be connected as a client to a VPN server, while at the same time acting as a VPN server for my network.
The PPTP connection configuration is such that "Send all traffic over VPN connection" is checked.
If PPTP client is NOT connected, I can connect to Lion as VPN server. As soon as I make the connection from Lion as a client, I can no longer
    connect to Lion VPN server.
I understand this is because I am forcing all traffic out the virtual interface (tun0) and eth0 is no longer listening on the local network.
    1. Is it possible to bind the VPN client (on Lion Server) to a particular interface? If I could tell the PPTP client to only use eth1 as the interface of choice, my assumption would be that eth0 would then be free to accept incoming connections.
    2. Is it possible to bind the VPN service  (on Lion Server) to a particular interface? if I could tell the vpn serviec to only listen on eth1, and in turn tell the PPTP client to NOT communicate on eth1 but only eth0 then perhaps I could separate the communications?
In my head, it seems as though both of the above options would be required in order to use Lion as both a VPN server and VPN client
    Any and all help appreciated.

This is a standard facet of most VPNs - the problem lies in your NAT router since both clients appear to come from the same IP address as far as the VPN server is concerned, and the router can't separate out the traffic.
There are a couple of solutions.
First, the built-in VPN server supports L2TP and PPTP protocols. You should be able to connect one system under each protocol, so that gets your two machines connected.
Second, you can replace your NAT router with one that supports multiple VPN clients (often termed 'VPN passthrough').
Third, setup a site-to-site tunnel so that your entire LAN is connected to the VPN (this saves you from having to run a separate VPN client on each machine, but is typically only worth it when you have more machines).

  • How can I configure Lion server or mail.app to show IMAP subfolders with mailboxes?

I'm sure we've all seen the weird IMAP glitch where mail subfolders appear down lower on the mail.app pane instead of nested neatly under the mailbox itself.  Usually you can get around this by changing the Inbox IMAP prefix to "" or "INBOX" or "/" or some such path that the server recognizes as the root path to your IMAP folder.  Unfortunately, this sometimes means you are unable to work with those folders or introduce other problems.
Since I am running Lion (Client) and Lion Server as my mail host, I would think that there is an appropriate answer to this either on the mail.app client settings, or perhaps with a Lion Server configuration through DOVECOT.  I don't mind if the solution is a command-line one, but I need to be able to easily set up my mailboxes so that mail subfolders appear properly under each mailbox, instead of being hidden away lower on the page where it is very inconvenient to find, especially when you are using multiple email accounts.
    Client Machine Lion 10.7.3
    Server Machine Lion Server 10.7.3
    Please Help!!!!

I've tried editing /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf on Lion Server to add the following:
    namespace private {
      type = private
      separator = /
      prefix = INBOX/
      inbox = yes
This puts me in a catch-22:
If I leave the "IMAP Path Prefix" setting in the account Advanced tab empty, I can see the subfolders and move messages in and out of them, but can't add or edit the folders or heirarchy.
If I set the "IMAP Path Prefix" to "INBOX" I can add and edit subfolders, but they don't appear nested under my inbox.
    Please help!

  • Can't configure tacacs-server port

We're unable to configure a specific port, which is required for our customer for the tacacs-server.   One of the devices is a 7604 router running this image -

  • Can I use Leopard Server with Samba instead of Windows Box?

I need to add an admin setup to a clients studio, basically to run a separate network with 4 win XP 32bit clients and a basic file sharing server that has roaming profiles.
So my question is would a Mac Pro with 10.5 server running as a PDC via SMB be OK?
I would much prefer to stay in the OS X world and seeing as its a basic setup it should be fine?
I have read about serious issues with 10.5 and SMB on 64Bit clients (which we will not be using)
Any tips etc really would be much appreciated

Yes, CIFS/SMB services do generally work fine. (Some folks have had some problems here, yes.)
There are various wrinkles with Vista NLTM authentication that are discussed around the forums.
Providing Open Directory (the Mac OS X Server analog to Microsoft Active Directory) is more involved than providing disk services.
You're going to want to read file and disk services and Open Directory materials in the manual set as a start.
And if you're headed down this path, first get RAID configured and working, then get DNS working, DHCP and related, and then get OD working, and then add CIFS / SMB services and other such. Order how you install and configure your services here, as there are dependencies on what (other) services are available.

  • Can my AD connected server use kerberos to authenticate windows users?

    Hi,
I have installed our brand new Xserve with leopard and set it up so that it is connected to a directory service (AD). I have check to see if it kerberized and it does appear so.
What I want to do is provide SSO for our users when they visit our intranet. Our users will be using Windows XP Pro clients. I have tried using basic authentication but this requires the user to enter their network username and password to authenticate. When I try setting the realm security to be Kerberos it doesn't work.
Can this be done and if so what am I doing wrong? Surely I am not the only person trying to integrate a mac server into a windows environment and provide windows clients with a seamless experience!
    Please help anyone!!!!

Ok, we managed to solve this!!!
It was to do with Active Directory. You need to set the xserve in Active Directory to be trusted for delegation (all kerberos services) and voila! Sorted!

  • How can I initiate dual boot install from a CMD window...?

Laptop hardware meets sys req for Win 10 and currently runs 8.1
    Samsung RV-511-S01UK
    i3 380M @ 2.53Ghz
    6GB RAM
Discrete Nvidia 315M 1GB dedicated VRAM
Having first tried 10 inside a VM... and it looks ok.... time to try it on real hardware instead of the restricted emulation.
I'm attempting to clean install and create a DUAL_BOOT on prepared partition
ISO downloaded direct from the correct link (SHA-1 checked)
USB... or DVD... installer created with the MS installer tool.
ALL attempts to install by booting from either installer medium, trying builds 9926, 10041 and 10049 (64 and 32 bit), end before they start....... the process stops completely at the very first screen.... the logo screen.... the indicator dots beneath
the logo screen which appear as standard to 'indicate' that a 'process' is happening in the background NEVER appear... even after an 8 hour wait in one instance.
Even if I follow the install instructions supplied on the download page here instead of booting direct:
    5. Double-tap or double-click setup.exe from the installation media, and then follow the steps.
it gets to a point within the process and has to restart.... then it stops as soon as the logo screen appears just as it does when I try and boot from the created installers.
There seems to be a problem at the Windows logo screen which halts the entire installation process !!! It suggests a BIOS/Win 10 conflict, but only one way to really find out..... process log...?
The only way to discover where the error lies is to observe the process happening as it happens in real time (if that's possible) or create log file of my attempt.... from within a CMD window...? Unfortunately I don't know the language of CMD code
    well enough.
I would like someone to assist with the correct code on how to initiate the install from within a CMD window so that I can see the process happen in real time within the window and therefore observe exactly where the instruction is failing.... but
as stated if running a CMD during install is not possible then a saved log file to refer to after fail and reboot into 8.1
This should make it easier to define the problem and as such discover the solution
If someone can supply the code it would be very helpful..... if no-one here knows I'll pop over to the Linux forum and ask one of the people there after setting up Ubuntu with a spare partition for the Win 10 TP
    cheers

    Hi base1268,
Can you find the following log files when you reboot into Windows 8.1?
    C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log
    C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setuperr.log
    C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback\setupact.log
Actually, for current situation, I suggest you use native boot to try Windows 10 Technical Preview:

it still works for Windows 10 Technical Preview.

  • I can't get iTunes to install on my HP windows vista 64 bit PC.

I uninstalled all items and re-installed per some recommendations on the forum and I still get error messages.

    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components

  • Can I use my Server 2012 r2 key for Windows 8?

Right now I am using Server 2012, but as a desktop/gaming OS.  I have been getting a bunch of DirectX and xinput errors lately so I wanted to know if my key could be used for Windows 8.1. I got the key through DreamSpark if it matters.

It doesn't really matter where you got it, a server product key cannot be used to install a client OS. Where were you planning to get the installation media for 8.1?
In any case, the server edition which corresponds to 8.1 is server 2012R2. Server 2012 corresponds to Windows 8.
