CAn we connect one fact to other fact in obiee

I have 4 fact tables in my data model and those 4 facts are connected to one fact table ..Does OBIEE support doing this?
any suggestions

Hi,
In case, you have a different fact table other than the 4, you can always bring in that as a different logical source in BMM. However, could you please let us know, why you would like to map the other 4 fact tables to this? Are there any other measures which you are trying to bring in? If this is the case, you could bring in this fact as different source and when reporting the BI Server can do the stitching for us.

    Of course you can.
    Just have to have the RFC destinations in place and use the
    CALL FUNCTION '....' DESTINATION '....'
    commands in ABAP, check out the ABAP forums for more info.

    You can't. iPhone does not have this feature.
    Some iOS apps will allow you to connect to other iOS devices for peer-to-peer games, or sending photos, but not to other makes of phone.

    Hi, long-term Mac user but new to OS X Server. Dug thru the forums quite a bit but couldn't find an answer to this one - hopefully I wasn't searching with the wrong keywords.
    Installed OS X Server 10.6 on a MacBook (white, 1 generation back) at the office. Sits behind an Airport Extreme, which is connected to Comcast. Other machines at the office are NOT routed through the Server, but rather connect directly to the Airport Extreme for internet access. I've set up server.mydomainname.com to point to our Comcast address, and I am able to connect via VPN to the server without any problems, and access the server using the server.mydomainname.com address which I pointed to my Comcast IP address, as long as I check "Send all traffic over VPN connection" on my client.
    However, when I'm logged in via VPN on one computer, and then log in via VPN on another computer (with the same UID or a different one), the first one loses all connectivity through the VPN - it's as if it had been logged off.
    In Server Admin, under the Settings|Network tabs, I have Computer Name set up as "theserver", and Local Hostname as "theserver" (so I can access via theserver.private). VPN is set up to enable L2TP over IPsec, sharing ranges 10.0.1.200 thru 10.0.1.220; no load balancing, no PPTP. Client DNS servers is set to 10.0.1.29.
    Any ideas as to why I can only connect with one client at a time?

    Thanks. I didn't see anything interesting, but then again I'm not up on VPN details. Here's the scenario:
    First, I logged in as "user1", and I can use the VPN.
    Then, I logged in as "user2", and I can use the VPN with user2, but user1 is no longer able to do anything over the VPN.
    Then I hung up with user2, but user1 still can't see anything over the VPN.
    Then I hung up and reconnected with user1, and user1 can use the VPN again.
    Here's part of the log for this activity. I've replaced potentially identifying info with "XYZ" for safety. Appreciate any thoughts on this!

  • WRT45G: can only connect one pc at the time to internet, cannot login to router setup

    Hello,
    I don't get this. The complete network worked fine for ... years? After a call with the ISP about a general/different issue, we can now only connect one pc at the time to internet. (We were asked to take out cables and we've put them back).
    I've been trying and searching for an answer for hours.
    problem:
    We can only connect through the router to internet with only one pc at the time (the first pc we connect after starting up the router).
    Also we cannot get into the setup menu of the router at 192.168.1.1
    We've been trying to reset the modem for 10, 30 seconds.
    Auto resolve IP/DNS. DHCP is enabled.
    I also remembered that I pushed the SES button, it turned from orange to flashing bluish. I never knew aboutthis function, nor it is mentioned in the manual I downloaded. Now this SES indicator is off.
    Also WLAN and DMZ led are off.
    I downloaded EasyLink_Connect.exe, went through the setup. It recognises there's internet connection, but stops and says: cisco does not support this modem.
    Temp. replacing this WRT45G modem with another one did not resolve the issue.
    I have no clue what went wrong, what we did wrong, and how we can resolve this issue? Please help! Thanks

    2.  I do have another router, when I try that one, the problem we have remains. So that's a bit strange to me. That one is supposed to be working.
    Does this SES function configure anything other than the modem? So, does it alter PC configurations? I have no clue.   We even start to wonder whether the ISP is able to set up their internet in a way that unables us to make use of a router? That would be ridiculous

  • Can only connect one laptop via AEBS wifi

    i was able to use my internet service with my Apple Airport Express Base Station (AEBS) for months without any problem and it was capable of simultaneous internet sharing (via wifi) among 3 laptops without the need to enter / directed to the internet provider's portal per connection (to enter account number and service reference number for authorization - works like a username and password for the connection)
    not until their so-called "network upgrade" as stated by my internet provider's tech support - I am now only able to connect a single laptop via the AEBS
    attempting to connect the other 2 laptops simultaneously with the 1 laptop on wifi connection was unsuccessful
    can not connect more than one laptop to my internet service through the AEBS simultaneously
    and whenever one laptop tries to connect to my internet service provider (via AEBS), you are immediately directed to the internet service provider's portal to enter your Account Number and Service Ref Number - you have to go through this every time you want to connect
    i have already reset the settings of the AEBS and still, the problem persisted
    any ideas on how to resolve this issue? is the problem with my internet service provider or my AEBS?

    Sounds like they've done something to stop more than one computer sharing the internet connection. It's possible that they've done this to prevent unauthorised access (by neighbours, etc.), but it's also possible that they've done it to stop people sharing one account - an attempt to get more customers to pay extra?
    I'd be tempted to look for a new ISP if they can't help.

    I'm experiencing a strange problem. Since I started my Mac Pro (cold start) some hours ago, I've lost the hability to connect to the Internet (Safari and Mail say I'm not connected). However, I can connect to 192.168.2.1 (my router) and see its webpage (it says it's connected to the Internet). If I use another computer on the same network, it can also connect to the Internet.
    Weirder, if I go back to my Mac Pro with "no internet" and launch Parallels Desktop, then I can use WinXP to browse the Internet; I'm writing this post on my WinXP virtual machine.
    This leads me to think there's a problem with how my Mac OS handles the networking. I have checked the Console, but the only related string I found is this:

    As expected, Google doesn't reveal anything about that (and I'm connected with the first ethernet port). I've tried to restart my Mac, but the problem persists (exact same symptoms).
    Could it be a DNS cache issue?
    I don't see, other than a DNS problem, why I can't connect to the Internet with my Mac OS while I can on my virtual machines. If it was a driver problem, I wouldn't be able to connect to my router. If it's a DNS issue, where are the DNS caches located in order to clear them (I'd trash the folder)?
    I could also reinstall the OS (waste of time, btw), but I'd really like to understand the problem, not just clear it and forget about it.
    Or better than guesses, anyone already experienced this?

    No DNS caches, it looks up the alphabetic and then uses the numberic from then on.

    is Apple, Inc main US web site. It that works, and the alphabetic does not, you have a DNS probelm.

  • Yosemite can't connect to my NAS & other weirdness

    I'm running Yosemite 10.10 on an Early 2011 15" Macbook Pro i7 with 8GB of RAM.  The machine is connected to the network via Wi-Fi and my network is managed by a SKY router. All devices are configured to use DHCP to obtain their IP address from the router.
    I have two NAS boxes on my network, a Western Digital MyCloud and a Buffalo Linkstation Pro.
    Since upgrading to Yosemite I cannot access the Linkstation NAS box.
    I can ping it on the network and I can call up the configuration pages in a web browser using the ip address, I can also access it from windows devices.
    However if I try to connect to it using my mac it fails every time.
    I use Go->Connect to Server then put in the details of the share, I'm prompted for a user name and password as expected but then the process stalls for several minutes before finally failing with the following error message.
    'There was a problem connecting to the server "xxxxxxx"
    Check the server name or IP address and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator.'
    I've tried specifying smb, cifs, and even afp in the connection attempts but they all fail.
    The Western Digital NAS works OK although it's a bit slow to make the initial connection.
    The other weird thing is that my Macbook keeps changing it's NETBIOS name and I don't know why.  I named the machine ChristophersMBP but it keeps getting numbers appended to the end of it.  It's currently up to ChristophersMBP5.
    The whole thing is very frustrating especially as if I boot Windows 7 using bootcamp it attaches to the share without any problems.
    And help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    It looks like I've found, if not a fix, then at least a work around.
    I was searching around the web and found other people having the same problem with their machine name changing.
    The fault seemed to be caused by "Wake on LAN" being enabled on the machine.  I checked my machine and, sure enough it was enabled.
    Quite why I'd want wake on LAN enabled on a laptop I'm not sure so I had no problem with disabling it.
    I disabled wake on LAN, renamed my computer again and rebooted it.
    Now I find I can successfully connect to my NAS box!
    This is a guess but I wonder if the renaming was causing problems with DNS or reverse DNS lookups?

    I can browse the internet and see other people online on my wii u via wifi but i cant connect to online games of mario kart 8 and people cant connect to my games of mario kart 8. There is a lot going around about how poor telstra is for supporting this but I want to play mario kart 8 online, if I can't do that on telstra then I will take my business elsewhere.

    BigPond does not provide support for 3rd party devices such as the WiiU. If you are experiencing difficulties your first point of contact would be Nintendo.
    Can you confirm what troubleshooting steps you have done?
    Have you made sure you have the latest firmware updates?
    Confirmed that there are no ports that need to be opened to do this?
    Have you tried manually configuring the DNS servers to those of other states or using Googles public DNS?
    Have parental controls been disabled?
    Are you able perform a traceroute to the server?

    An array is an array. It has its own systemboard and needs to be connected in certain ways.
    An expansion unit is a "dumb" peripheral and requires an array upstream from it.
    As mentioned in the first reply of this thread, go read the documentation. If it does describe multiple arrays in what you seem to describe as a serial chain of connectrions, then that would be an acceptable configuration. The docs may even mention any special that you must never do such a thing.
    Go read the docs. I'm not going to read them for you.
    You could always just go try to connect them all together.
    I have no personal experience with those storage devices and I would only be making guesses.
    I would also not be responsible for any unexpected damage you might do if they're not ever supposed to be connected in such a fasion.

    Go contact Oracle support directly and get a proper answer.

    They are all part of one Section. Just as you do not (hopefully) rip pages out at random from books, the pages of a Section are linked by the text that flows from one to the other.
    If you want to move or delete particular page/s Insert a Section Break at the end of the page before.

    I have 2 Macbooks in my household. One of them connects to the internet just fine. One of them will not. It can connect to any other router but NOT this one. Airport recognizes the router, and even shows it as available. But for whatever reason it just won't connect. It's a MacBook Pro. How do I fix this?
    The router is a verizon fios router, btw.

    I have this problem too in a way. It won't connect to the Internet but I can connect to my router. I am in a business and the business laptop downstairs is connected to the net through the same router (just an ordinary windows laptop) my iPhone 5 also connects to the Internet through the same router. My MacBook will connect to the Internet at my girlfriends house so I know that it can connect to the Internet and isn't the wifi not working. Through the network diagnostics I get a green light for wi-fi and wi-fi settings, a amber light for network settings a green light for ISP and then red lights for Internet and server. However as I right this on my phone I am connected to the net and my MacBook right now will not connect. I have deleted all other known networks.
    As I wrote this I have just fixed this problem.
    I clicked on the Internet signal bars, open network preferences, click assist me, then assistant. Name it, then choose the router, enter password and it connected.
    However, I did this last time I had the issue and it worked for about a week so the next question is whether there is something in my settings I need to change?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
